Good morning.
Wow, page 3 already.
TaDa
Fed Sir-Hiss-a-lot. He needs a new name as he rarely hisses at us any more. He touches his nose to my hand. But I can't make any motion. He slept in the garage last night, so a big relief as he spent last winter outside.
kittykat I wish my yard was even a little bit ready for winter. Setting myself up for a busy spring!
trissie I'm sure AI can be very useful. Maybe our library will have an information session on it.
To Do
Basic tidying all over.

Re: Mambo No. 5 (a Little Bit of...) Monday @ TDD - C&C
Hello, all. I started out with a wretched migraine due to the change in weather. I don't mind the change to rain and cooler weather; the trees need a good soak before winter. I'm not sure if the pill worked or if I am enjoying a respite while the blood supply rushes from my head to my inner organs to digest breakfast, but I am feeling better right now. So I hopped on here to say hi, and get done what I can. Germane has her grooming appointment later this afternoon. That's the only specific plan.
(((Gma))) I am sorry for your loss. I can only echo what others here have already said.

Re: Mambo No. 5 (a Little Bit of...) Monday @ TDD - C&C
We should both be fine with healthcare for the moment, Trissie. We both have two insurances and the government one should be fine for the moment and the other one is thru my old job. The NIH program is currently closed and could lose funding but DD32 is currently at a good place. The two most promising treatments… a synthetic replacement protein and crisper to repair the gene are being worked on privately… the protein patent is owned by the DADA2 foundation so those potential treatments shouldn’t be impacted.
My surgery is November 25.

Re: Mambo No. 5 (a Little Bit of...) Monday @ TDD - C&C
Glad to hear that even the medical research is safe, L.Ann!
Dogged, yikes about the migraine, crossing my fingers it goes away soon!
Paigealle, the person who lead the seminar said that unless he used their profesionally tailored AI system, he would get hallucinated answers (that's apparently a term now) - like, references to non-existant judicial decisions and laws, down to quoting those non-existent laws! But then again, the other day I asked chatgpt to dumb down my job description and it told me I was like a kindergarten teacher telling grown-ups to wash their hands, share their toys and not eat sand. And I think that's a very sad and very accurate description of what a Compliance Officer does!

Re: Mambo No. 5 (a Little Bit of...) Monday @ TDD - C&C
LOL, I think that is how many of us see our jobs, trissie.
The migraine is well under control. I am happily back to functioning.
Hi, Peaches.
I am back from the groomer, getting something to eat. If I eat small meals, every time I do it redirects blood to the inner organs, relieving the pressure on the blood vessels in the head.
Monday
Cleaned up after dog
Put on a pot of coffee
Put on a pot of rice
Set up new procrastaccomplishments list
Updated goals
Washed hair
Brought Germane to car
Realized that I forgot my purse and drivers license
Went back in building
Started calling the groomer
Met neighbour in the elevator, who wanted to thank me for the dog food. Explained that I had had to buy an extra bag on vacation and there was no way that Germane could eat both bags, so I’m just happy that their dog can eat it.
Tried again to call groomer. Left message to explain.
Got my purse.
On the way out, met another neighbour who was telling me about his brother’s new Golden Retriever pup.
Groomer called back; could not get phone open fast enough
Brought Germane to groomer. Groomer was not upset that we were late.
Came home
Picked up mail
Cleaned up after dog

Hello, everyone!
You have a busy day ahead, Helia. Enjoy coffee with your friend.
L.Ann, I hope Little Bit's dental appointment went well. Good news that you have a date mow. I'm glad DD's medical treatment nis safe.
That's a very good use of time spent on listening to a seminar, Trissie. And very interesting information about AI legislation! LOl at Chat GPT's description of your job!
So glad Sir-Hiss-a-lot is slowly getting used to you, Paige, and what a relief he's now sleeping in the garage.
I never knew about the Hula association with the song either, Harriet! We truly do learn something new every day!
I'm glad you're feeling better, Dogged. Migraines are nasty!
Hi, Peaches!
It's been a good day. DH voted the sausage and baked beans casserole from the slow cooker a hit. I just served it with fresh bread and a green salad. I managed to finish spreading the bark on the front garden, and also did a.little patch in the back garden. By then, the sack of bark was empty enough fore.to carry it round to the garage, I stead of leaving in it for DH to deal with! Upstairs is now clean and tidy, and the kitties have had their supper as well.
