Yesterday I took everything off the bedroom bookcase, dusted well and decluttered a bit, and put everything back so I could get into bed last night! I think there are probably more books still to declutter, but I can do that as I "see" them. The important thing was not to be left with tottering piles of books on the bed!

Harriet, your winter quilt sounds really pretty! I have a notebook and pen on my bedside table too, for writing down things I remember last thing at night, or during the night. Also things I need to remember the following day!

Re: November 2025 - Sort, Tidy, Declutter!
Things I still need to do to declutter /deep clean bedroom:
Wipe down woodwork on door frame and along skirting board either side
Take books off bookshelf, declutter , dust and replace: shelf#1,
#2
Declutter and clean pine box
Bedside cabinet drawers #1#2#3
Dressing table drawers #1#2#3#4
Declutter and wash necklaces that hang
Go back through under bed storage - I'm sure there is more I can declutter, to make space for some lesser used items from my wardrobe ( This does mean more work for me short term, but long term I will be rewarded by a more accessible wardrobe!) Could probably still declutter a bit more as I "see" things, but I'm calling it "done" for now
Wax bedroom floor
I also need to allocate a drawer for my spare asthma inhalers. Since I was switched to a new type which are larger, and come in a larger box, they won't really fit in the same drawer as all my other spare medication. That's something I can do during my decluttering.

Smiling at an image of tottering piles of Kittykatt's books maybe still on the bed close to bedtime. But bed surfaces are great for sorting, aren't they? You can get a "view" of a lot at one time.
Nancy, about order in the sewing room, I have been watching a few sewing room organizing YT videos. Mostly about how people store scraps, fabric. Everyone certainly is different, but I found some helpful ideas. One lady was going to show UFOs and thought she had 20, but found 25 during that video, 5 more by the time she was making the follow-up video. And one of those she was counting as just one was actually a stack of little baby blanket types that needed finishing, so really even more. It made me feel a little better - I have too many, but I believe she has me beat!

I have peen purging planners.
It 's a journey but in my quest to let go of some of these I've found my way through some more and getting
that out of here will help. Found some great ideas and notes to use again it was like
gold panning and a few nuggets here and there in the sand! LOL!
