Thanks heaven for Indian Jones which is holding Sweeties attention at the moment. He kept interrupting me with requests till I finally told him in needed him to sit down for a while so I could work around the house.

Finally got the kitchen cleaned, dish washer unloaded, cleared my island …it’s 8’ long and three feet wide at the biggest point…and vacuumed and quick mopped the area. My closet floor is finally cleared and my bathroom has been picked up.

Just made Sweetie his lunch and now have two full baskets to fold.

I had to go out to the garage to get some meatballs. Brrr.... it's COLD!

Spaghetti sauce has onions and meatballs in it along with some black pepper and it's on low on the stove. Some Italians refer to this as Sunday Sauce. It just simmers on the stove all day until it's time for supper.

Dh is sitting in front of his computer with the football game on. He's saying he isn't feeling well but he can't really explain what he is feeling other than tired and cold. We've had the heat turned up to a higher temperature this winter than we have ever had it. The bedroom is far too warm for me and he has 2 blankets over him.

I checked to find the warmest hour of our day and it is between 2pm & 3pm. That is when I am going to put in the effort to get outdoor steps accomplished.

DGS18 is headed this way for a visit. it is a 5 hour drive so he should arrive between 6-7pm. DDIL monitors his travel using Life360 so he won't be speeding much.

(((RR & Sweetie)))

When DH is in roaming mode he can't seem to stop. He will sit down if I ask but gets right back up again. It does seem to break the roaming cycle if we go for a short drive somewhere in the vehicle. When we get back home DH can sit and relax without a problem.

Oh, goodness, the joint is jumping today! Too much for it all to stick in my brain, so just let me send you all my love!

Since we got home from church, I don’t intend to go out again in the bitter cold, which makes me feel a little guilty because dfriend K is in a concert this afternoon. She texted the moms’ group with an invitation, and right now, I’m just pretending I didn’t see it. If she had invited us earlier, and we had made plans to go, I might head out for it, but I got the invitation after I had made plans to hunker down.

DH is out with the Scouts, practicing for their winter event. The Scoutmaster is having some pity on the Scouts today — they are practicing at his house, not at their usual spot, a park along the lake. I don’t know how low the wind chill is with the wind off the lake. 🥶

Normally, he would go out one more time after, to pick up our Sunday night Chinese dinner, but if he doesn’t want to go out, I’m sure we can find something here to make. Oh! I’d better advise DD to see if she can get a ride to work tomorrow (assuming they don’t call off school due to wind chills. We’re supposed to take my car to the muffler shop; my mechanic couldn’t do anything (my 13-year-old car was the last year this model was sold in the US, so he couldn’t get the parts), but the muffler shop can fabricate if necessary. DD is working on a project right now for her preschoolers. We really need to do more work on that playroom. Maybe I’ll go in there and see what I can do by myself.

Have a great afternoon, everyone! (And sweet dreams to Kittykatt and vergerswife!) Stay warm as you can!

Wind chill here is 17 degrees. We went out for brunch with dh’s frat brother and his very sweet girlfriend. Wonderful Mediterranean place and we all took our time. They were going on to the show we saw last night. We walked there and back, some footing felt treacherous getting there but there’s mostly slush now with icy patches. We’re in for the afternoon. Dh really didn’t bring great shoes for this and his feet got wet. We have a dinner reservation so we’ll go back out later. All in all, a quieter day.

I swept the kitchen & dining room before we walked.
Got a thrill a dog got out and chased after us I screamed it stopped.
The day I'd decided to not take my walking stick. :?

After sniffing out dog we walk around the loop.
Stopped to ask about an estate sale.
Took ddoggo home.
Drove back to the sale.

Walked some more with ddoggo the others that were out were not around and we did a walk around the block and 4 Also around the
back yard

Got a journal blank, book on English life & unopened package of gloves for my walks!

Not hungry for lunch yet meal loaf & meat balls mentioned here sounds yummy!

Listening to another segment of podcast on writing planning & execution and implementing it.

Had my lunch
did leaf duty
got the rest of my steps in.
