Good Mornin' Everyone!
I slept in till 8:00 very unusual for me!
Got dressed right away and took out the trash to the curb as coffee was brewing.
Broth in my coffee was interesting today.
Rx done.

I'm in a good mood today yea! Glad I do not have to wait till 9:00 when lh used to get up
I tried to to be quite till then. He did used to do that trash but that is one thing I do not mind
doing. I always did the yard work as he was such a work a holic.

Cloudy weather guessers have been wrong so far today no rain they said 100% by 45 min. ago.

What foods do you all have for New Year's Eve. Not that yucky Lima bean one! LOL!
Good news shined my sinks last nite!

hello again - more presents brought upstairs
bleached the counters as I will be cooking soon
dusted a bit
sink is shiny
some put away done in dining room.
I think I have an idea of what will be needed for Christmas Day. - I ordered from a local restaurant meals for Christmas Day - I will pick the dishes up tomorrow at 11:45 am. I think that is better. spoke to dd's and they agree. I will still make a simple breakfast for christmas but dinner will be bought. dessert I will make grandmas chocolate sauce and my raspberry sauce for ice cream.

Well I didn't cry in the doctor's office. He immediately agreed that we should have home care come by to see what they can do for us. Not just dh, but "us". I did cry as we were driving home. I told dh they were tears of relief. Also, doctor said no public pools or hot tubs as long as dh has the leaking in his legs.

Nice to see RRose and Mystery and everyone else posting.

We had a nice lunch at the Chinese buffet. Now I am going to join dh in a nap.

watching sit and knit for a bit. christmas is coming video
mom is in bed - she didn't want to go to bed but she was getting cranky.
our normal helper is doing errands which is wonderful for her - she has a big family dinner coming up.
it's really nice - the workers outside are taking a break - so I am by myself - it's very nice to have quiet for a bit. it's rare for me to be alone - enjoying!

next: flip flop laundry
grab some more christmas presents.

I didn't get home from errands until past 1:30, and I was so happy to be home for the afternoon. But dh proposed going to the jewelers so I could pick out a birthday present. After some back and forth (I didn't really want to leave the house and he didn't like that his proposal hadn't been accepted) we went on and purchased a lovely bracelet. So we're back home and it's past 5 p.m. Dh just left for bowling - he's not bowling - hurts too much - but wants to be there for the team.

So he's a bit put out at me for not wanting to go (doesn't understand exactly how crazy things have felt here, and that I spent the whole of Sunday afternoon on something he wanted to happen) and then for purchasing something that was probably more expensive than he planned. OTOH, he told me to "pick out what I wanted." I've been telling him about a bracelet which I saw a couple of months ago that cost twice what this one cost, knowing he wouldn't purchase that....but as an idea of something I'd love on a smaller scale. I don't think he remembered it.

I am still sneezing occasionally and my nasal passages feel raw. At temple and gym, both picked on on the cold from my nasally voice.

Tomorrow we're having lunch with dcousin and ds. Picking dcousin up at 11:30 and made a restaurant reservation for a nice lunch for my birthday. Tomorrow evening we go to dfriends that we traveled with on the river cruise in Europe. That's M and S - their home is always beautifully decorated - a feast for the eyes - for Christmas and they remember my birthday by inviting us every year. Will be fun, ds enjoys being with them and the adult 40s daughters flirt with him a bit. I'll need to wrap the three little dirty Christmas gift exchange presents. Tomorrow I also need to distribute the holiday cards to the neighbors....perhaps dh will help with that. I'd just put them in the mailbox just after the post person comes through, but he will likely want to go to the doors.

I need to get the dog in so I can go upstairs for a bit....

Dh and I had a wonderful lunch for supper. Cheese, crackers, sliced meats, grapes and other fruit. We were both still a bit full from lunch.

Dgd may or may not come.
Just for tea no need for anything more as we have already done our gift exchange.
