WTG on making a better system of organization for your paperwork, L.Ann. I dislike paperwork too. It takes so long and you don't get the visible reward of a cleared area.

Kittykatt, I hope that you weren't too badly hurt in your fall. It hurts even when there is no damage. I'm glad that you found someone to cover for you tomorrow, though I know you will miss church, and glad that your DH is going to support in Freddie's visit.

That's not too bad to undo then, Lauralind.

I can't get over in the difference in deliveries! The missing parcel is from Best Buy. Not from Best Buy themselves, as they use FedEx and there are never any problems, but from one Best Buys authorized sellers on their web site. They used a delivery service that I have never heard of. There is supposedly a picture of the delivery, but it prompts for my postal code and then rejects it. I have tried entering the postal code with and without the space, and tried from different browsers but nothing comes up.
I had also ordered a small wire and post cart as I am using my small one for the plants and missing it in its old location. I ordered it from Amazon, because I couldn't find what I was looking for in local stores. Amazon gives the estimated date and updates like FedEx does, but what I didn't know is that once the delivery man is in your area, it switches to an app like the one that Uber and taxis use. I've been watching all afternoon as he worked his way closer to my building. The app would give updates like "He has 5 more stops before you." After I finished hanging the laundry I checked again and saw from his location that he was inside my building. Then I heard a soft thump and the app disappeared. It went to the regular order tracking page and showed status Delivered and the picture of the parcel and my door.
I prioritize other retailers over Amazon because of their reputation about how they treat their employees, but, boy, you can't beat the service!

Now I need to turn my attention to supper. I don't feel like cooking anything elaborate. And I might slide under the covers to warm up. Now that the sun has gone down, the apartment is feeling chilly.
The laundry hanging all over the apartment adds an extra wrinkle for reorganizing, but there are still things that I can do to advance it all. I could wipe out the big air fryer and leave it to dry out overnight. That would let me get it and its box that I had brought up from the basement back down to the basement for the winter. That would free up two surface for other work.

I could also assemble the new wire cart, though I can't easily access the corner where it's going to go until some of the laundry is dry.

I did get the tree down. Need to vacuum that corner yet then th chair fits better over there. Not tonight supper is in the oven and then I have to go let ds dog in for night . I'm a little sad cause they ended up going shopping again and the plan is spending the night with her parents. That's fine except that we need to do something different if we go away for Christmas again. Somehow timing was off the other day and we didn't do the gift exchange with them now we have gifts still sitting here waiting. Just feels weird cause it's late and I gave up and took the tree down. How does one do that. These 2 and maybe her family can be a bit spur of the moment. One couple 10 hours away. Then Somehow timing is off here. Maybe next year dd and dsil will come here.

Need to get the rice on and finish supper

Hi all. Quick chat as hunters are shooting somewhere nearby and it’s very distracting, usually they are further off and it’s making Thumper anxious, so I can’t think of all the replies I’d like to make.
I’m glad to know my dh isn’t the only one that oblivious to cleaning and the work it entails. :P
Dh discussed retiring on the car ride, he turned 65, retirement age, in December. He’d like to work until dd2 graduates in May but then it’s up in the air. If he stays until October, he will see his 25th anniversary working there, but I don’t think they do any type of reward or celebration so who knows what he will decide. He goes back to work Monday after being off a couple weeks so he’s leaning toward retiring right now. Getting up at 3:30 daily isn’t fun.
I downloaded the bird app. Thanks so much! Be careful if you download it, there’s another one very similar in the App Store, not sure if it’s the same quality or not but it doesn’t say Cornell and has listed a person as developer.
Missing packages made me realize I didn’t get my cat litter order today.
I found some pretty Limoges (sp?) on Facebook marketplace yesterday so we drove to a nearby city to pick them up. When I plugged in the address gps warned me of thunderstorms and I shrugged them off since it was just a little cloudy. Ended up driving through a hailstorm lol. At least these were tiny, maybe marble sized, the news reported golf ball sized hail in the area. Got my stuff, they’re 3-4” tall metal animal shapes that open with tiny storage room inside. Had a nice chat with the woman selling them. Even took pics of her sunroom and got a builder’s name for ideas for our back step area. She was very nice, is moving to Arizona to be with her husband. They had moved to the Pensacola, Florida area to be near their son in the navy and he had moved off so her hubby went back to Arizona and is working there. They lived in south Florida for awhile. She breeds poodles. Stopped at Publix grocery store for supper, got fresh bread and sandwich makings from the deli, as well as soups, broccoli cheddar and a taco soup. All that to say it was a nice day.

Can’t sleep, it’s very warm and muggy, even dh got up to get some water and said he was warm, so I bumped the AC down a couple of notches, let the dogs out and in, filled pet water bowls and now I’m back in bed. Hope you’re all having sweet dreams. 🛌 💤💭
