Thanks for the tip, Kittykatt Vet visits aren't fun with either - but I think slightly easier with a dog...

trissie -Technically, pup is an adult now: almost 2 years old. However, large breeds don't quite mature until 3. In my mind, she is still a pup. She has pup energy, enthusiasm... but she is learning well. 20 years is nice for a kitty... Mine lived till 17...
Routines help me stay on track... when they are in place... I need to get there.

Bama - I remember now... you told me:) White shepherds are stunning! (and, I love all mixes...) They must keep you busy! What do you do for broken nail? How can you avoid an infection?

Dogged - have you seen someone about the coughing fit? Those are NOT fun. Hope you warm up.

helia - it makes sense for everyone : why stress them out before the vet visit? And, reception can do their work in peace as well. From now on, this is what we are doing. It made a world of difference.

I’m just keeping it clean while it grows back, kitkat, and no ball chasing. Tried that today and he went all out and I don’t want it to open back up. All dogs are very special.

Helia are you leaving the puzzle while the hunt is on for the missing piece or ready to take it apart?

Sounds like a good read, LAnn. I just started my book club book. It’s written by a politician so I won’t go into it here. So far it’s ok…

I finally made the parsnips. I tried the cook in chicken broth and maple syrup recipe for one. Did the parboil, roast in flour, olive oil, butter recipe for another one. Both were very good and dh approved. I still have 2 parsnips. Might try one cut into French fry shapes and roasted next time. And one mashed.

Outside - deal with bottles and jars, prune fig and weed around, fertilize (get dh to fetch fertilizer from shed) soaking one jar in sink to see how clean it gets

Monthly - chg ac filter, add bleach to AC, clean glass, polish cabinets
Check on lp order for dd2, email says delayed, no update until January sometime

Oh, roasted parsnip also sounds good, Bama. I'm glad that the other recipes worked out well. The book was very good. It's one that I hadn't read in a long time, so couldn't remember the ending. That's always more fun.

I finally peeled myself out of my nice warm bed for a while, and have got that air fryer boxed up ready to go to the basement until summer.
