Here, the sun is out, and we've hit the double digits F. No snow yet. It is supposed to warm up into the teens overnight and start snowing, and snowing, and snowing. The amount predicted keeps growing. Currently, the estimate is 8", more in the snow belt. I'm sure people in Buffalo are laughing as if it was nothing. (It's not a snowstorm there unless it's measured in feet.) They are asking people to stay off the roads tomorrow. Our moms' brunch tomorrow is becoming breakfast-for-dinner tonight.
Because of the sudden switch in time, I had to hop out of bed straight to the kitchen to start preparing the French toast casserole I'm bringing -- it's supposed to sit overnight, so I wanted to give it as much time as I could. My ankles are still screaming at me, though, for so much standing before they were even warmed up.
We are scheduled to run the livestream at Mass tonight. I am praying that everything goes without a hitch; with everyone advised to stay home tomorrow, I'm sure we'll have more people depending on us. So the plan is to drop the unbaked casserole off at dfriend K's house (she is hosting tonight and lives about a block from the church), then head over to the church. She will get it into the oven, and DH will drop me back there when church is over and pick me up when we are done.
AAAAAH! I just realized I never mixed the milk into the egg mixture for the casserole!
So glad to hear the ice is staying away from you, lucylee!
