Mystery, it is old but not difficult, and if chilled overnight, then chilled pie filling spooned over, then chilled a few hours again, the pie pieces will cut attractively, picture-perfect. The Borden recipe for a refrigerator cream cheese pie, that they named, "The Cherry O'Cream Cheese Pie". It was featured in so many Women's Day or Family Circle magazines at checkout counters in the '70s while I was a very young homemaker, and there would be a coupon for the condensed milk. Sometimes a full-page ad. I cut one out that was about a half-page. This was before ds was born, but he grew up thinking it was wonderful, especially since his big sister vehemently does not like cream cheese, lol, so he would get more for himself. Over the years, I've found the larger size of prepared graham cracker crust is ideal. This cook reminding us of the history in this article is insistent upon lemon juice concentrate rather than lemon juice, but we like it either way, and Borden themselves eventually said either.

The groceries were put away without much fuss, not many substitutions, but some buns didn't have the closure put on correctly and HRH was mortified. I don't know if he will eat them or not. It was obviously done at the plant, not the store's fault, because it is one of those wide double-wire crimping closures. He was still shaking his head over their quality control an hour later.

For both breakfast and lunch, we did our kitchen dance around each other for our own favorite meals. So far, we haven't collided. Probably should quit that while we're ahead.

My pattern of marking and planning the quilting during the day when I have a certain light, then getting it under the machine needle in the evening in a different light, is working well.

That pie recipe brought back some good memories. When I was growing up we called it Sharon Derryberry pie because that was the lady who introduced us to the pie & recipe.

We are down to only 2 teenagers for a few hours. Both of them are girls that had no interest in going to car show.
