I'm trying to straighten out a BUNCH of duplicate files on my external hard drive. If I just "copy" and "paste" from "My Documents" to "Passport" -- it never gives me the option to replace previous files with the same name, so it just copies EVERYTHING, EVERY TIME.

I would like to do this back-up at least once a month, but it is very tedious to do files one at a time. Maybe now I have it so I can just do recent documents -- and keep up with one month at a time? I don't know.
DH & I did make it to the funeral home visitation, and the widow acted like she remembered my dad, too, so I was glad we went. Heard the son we are friends with talking to my uncle, saying to my uncle, "Yes... I know that name... ____ was a good athlete at (high school)..." Duncle said, "No, that's my brother."

I told dh later, in some ways, it must have been difficult to be my dad's younger brother. Duncle played no sports and does not have the natural easy, outgoing personality that my ddad did, and probably was not considered as good-looking by the females in school. It seems to me that duncle was a lot more fun when he was younger -- but that may have only been because I was younger, also. A child doesn't see the faults in a grown person that other grown people do. Just musing. Sometimes it helps to try to realize why difficult people act the way they do.
We had a very nice supper and came on back home. I started laundry and I'm planning on going to that retired lady teachers lunch tomorrow. Monthly thing, you know. Not sure I want to be "committed" to them, but apparently it's no big deal. Don't even have to pay dues till next October, as I understand. And I'm sure I could pay my dues and still stay home if I wanted to.

I like most all the ladies who go. It's not 5 miles from my house. At least I get to talk to grown-ups whom I am not related to this way. (Sometimes lately, the grown-ups I am related to make me very stressed-out!)
Harmony -- WTG on all that advance prep cooking. I didn't really realize why you were doing all that when I first started reading -- and then I saw that you are being EXTREMELY smart! You go, girl! Hope all goes well for dh and he really is not all that much bother... but it is so wise to be prepared.
Waving to

Dgs goes for 19 month old check-up tomorrow. DS will not be able to go with them, so I hope ddil will get some word from doctor re: dgs' vocabulary. That still troubles me, you know, even though I am doing pretty well about not dwelling on or obsessing about it.
Time to flip the laundry. Y'all have a good night.
