Twins - It was through Microsoft HUP. Not all companies participate in it. I was not sure about my eligibility however they sent me a code when I asked about it so I took that as a yes. :)

Just received a plea for help from a total stranger. They can't find water and heard through grapevine that I might be able to help. I made no promises but did agree to come dowse at their place. Scratching off 4 hours of my free time on Saturday afternoon.

Dh has just headed off to the States. His parcel is ready to pick up.

Time for me to get my rear in gear.

I did draw out the floor plan of the apartment on Floorplanner.com which worked relatively easily. But it sucked up a ton of time. Plus it exports as a .pdf and I can't load that up here so can't share what it looks like. I can but I'm slow - I'll print it off, take a photo and share the photo.

Here's the link to it in Members Only: warning, it is a larger file than we normally allow so if you aren't on high speed or are paying for data, you may want to pass.

Hello dear Ladies,

Temperatures continue to drop, it is 45 and cloudy.

((((Harmony)))) wanted to let you know that at work, I'm usually the card lady. I get one for someone when they are going through something and since I'm at the fitting room, I ask workers to sign as they walk through or I would chase a manager down to get him to sign. Then when I was out with something, nobody sent me a card and I felt so bad about that. I mentioned it to my co=workers and since then they've tried harder, sometimes one of them will buy the card and this last time when I was off I got a group card and single cards from individuals too. Cards do mean a lot or just knowing that someone cares means a lot,

My day so far:

with the sling on:

cooked eggs and toast for me. Oatmeal in the microwave for brother.
Unloaded DW. Rinsed off dishes and loaded into DW.
Washed frying pan.
Washed sink.
started a load of laundry.

with sling off:

ate eggs and toast
made 3 phone calls
bible reading
Part one of exercises.

DH is out picking up supplies and always wants me in the sling when he is gone, Doc still says I can have it off when sitting down, watching tv, eating, or reading, cannot do chores without it on as I could easily forget and start lifting stuff with my left arm.

Looks like a nice floor plan Kathryn.

Lunch was chicken fried pork chops, mac/cheese, and 2 kinds of beans. YUMMY! If I may say so

There are about a dozen vehicles in the road (bar ditch) along our fence line. They are laying new rural water line on the other side of the road from us. I could easily just sit and watch them. I'm worse than a 5 year old with my fascination for heavy duty equipment.....dozer, dump truck, back hoe, borer, etc.

Time to get ready for funeral.

Then home to help LO do homework
I'll drop a whole chicken in the Instant Pot and use it for the bases of dinner. Not sure what I will make with it yet

Tonight is T-Ball sign up. This will be interesting to see how much LO likes playing ball and how much he likes being with his friends. They have a new cut off date (age). LO missed it by 5 days. All his friends are older than he is so he will be aaaaallllll alone (not really but he will probably think they are putting him with the babies.....actually he will be with kids his age). Hopefully he won't stick out. He is taller than all his older friends......I'm dreading seeing him stand next to these younger kids. Sending "Be kind" thoughts to them and their parents.

Tuesday. Yes it is. An extremely slow starting Tuesday for me... but that's okay, b/c tomorrow will be a LONG day to college town, and then Thursday will start early w/dgs.

Spent a lot of time on phone with dmom, encouraging (unsuccessfully) her to go to ladies meeting at her church tonight.
* sigh *
Dmom did say she did not think she would be making it to the G eorge S trait concert with me... she just knew that would be too long a day, too late coming home, she would be totally exhausted the rest of the weekend -- and she wants ds & dh to sing at her church on Sunday, following the concert on Friday. So -- I was kinda glad of that.
We also discussed when she could schedule a colonoscopy... she is concerned that her Chron's Disease is getting worse (I don't know what they can do about it if it is?) and said she had not had this test in over 5 years, so should have it anyway.
Also encouraged her to see therapist... she admits that there is anger along with her depression... anger that she is never going to get to do a lot of the things she & ddad hoped to do "when he retired." It makes me sad, too... but she really, REALLY needs to talk to someone who can offer some objective perspective. This part of the conversation was probably unsuccessful, too. * sigh *

5x5
[ ] reconcile checkbook
[ ] s2s, etc.
[ ] water plants
[ ] sort clothes for ddil to look at (I think she might like some of the tops I'm discarding)
[ ] exercise
Tomorrow is another day.

Lucylee: Anger is another stage of grief. Your mom is progressing.

I'm s2s now. Put away laundry (still have more to do.) Talked with my broker. Made a lunch for myself.

I've also answered the questions in my floor plan thread and put up the two shots of the view I have.

I am nodding along with Kathryn, Lucylee. This is progress for your mom.

I am done again. I am struggling with the old computer/new computer and scanning documents. I don't have the time or energy right now to figure out how to scan to the new computer, and even if I keep the old computer going it nearly stops dead when I name and file scanned info in Evernote. I set it up so the scanned info go to Dropbox on the old computer and then hopefully Evernote will import scanned docs from the Dropbox folder. We'll see if it works. I'm trying to deal with some of this paper but spending too much time rebooting old computer.

-work in garage to organize recycling to go out tomorrow
-order an item online - it is 20% off today
-request new insurance card online
-scan an item to see if this works
-hang delicates to dry

Windows 8 is still playing havoc with me, altho I am pleased that I think I just disabled the touchpad zoom that keeps happening....

Panic attack. Just made an appointment with a real estate broker for tomorrow at 3.

Basement is a disaster that cannot be tackled between now and then. Upstairs is OK but not great. So not ready for this moment (mentally or practically.)
