Re: Then There was Thursday. . .
Getting frustrated here. Might be hungry. Will try having some cut veggies and see if that helps.
According to the real estate agent, my house's property assessment is wrong so I just went online to correct it and request a re-evaluation. It is coming up at $460K but is being compared to homes that either are waterfront or have been updated. So the comparables are off.

DH and I were just talking this morning about driving over there AFTER the festival to get our yearly dose of Parkesdale's strawberries, Sunny. Wanna meet in the middle?I sure wish we could take a ride over. I'd love to get some of Parkesdale's berries. They are the best!

Re: Then There was Thursday. . .
I had a good start to the day, but then my productivity went to nil as I spent the last 7 hours in town. Two hours sitting in Social Security waiting room...waiting....waiting....
This time they liked all the paperwork so LO name has now been changed an he will receive an updated SS card.
The doctor office called to let us know they had already submitted LO surgery paperwork under his old name before they found out the front office had changed it. Insurance has been changed to his new name. HOpefully it will work out. This next week we will need to show his new birth certificate to hospital, lab and surgery center (all separate businesses) to change his records from old name to new. I wish his surgery wasn't scheduled in the middle of his name change, but I'm sure it will work out.
We ran out of time before we could do the other errands planned for today. there is always tomorrow.
LO bus just pulled up to the driveway. Time to start after school routine...

Re: Then There was Thursday. . .
Back from teaching team meeting. Dfriend, church children's programs director, told me that the nursery coordinator had told her that we don't need to clean the nursery and toddler rooms after all since a large Bible study group that uses our church weekly will be cleaning them in 2 weeks. That is wonderful news! Now, I don't have to prep for that.
Other moms group developments: I will be teaching the group 2-3 weeks in April.
I have rice going; will finish the a.m. routine, if I can, check to see if/what GG would like to eat, and then I'll take her to the school at 5:45. She is a score runner or something for the synchro meet. I need to charge my camera battery too. I'll head to the school at 6:30, the meet's starting time. I'll bring a book too. Dh will meet me there at 6:30. He will leave early b/c he has a work-related dinner to go to. I suspect we won't be home until 10:30 or so. . . Dd15 never came home from school; she's just staying in the building straight through, hopefully had some time to work on homework.
Next:
- kitchen counters tidy
- charge camera battery
- set out leftovers for tonight
Hands and lips are very dry. I think I'll also go find some hand cream and lip balm.

Early dinner tonight so we'll have a longer time after eating to work.
I've moved to the desk in the living room because it has a heater underneath it. That will keep me at my computer longer!

Re: Then There was Thursday. . .
DH found a GE washer repairman for our washer. DH was fiddling with the washer this a.m., it did a quick rinse, without the screen display saying: PLEASE CLOSE LID! and beeping! However, he tried it again and again, and it did that warning and beeping again. The repairman comes between 10 a.m. - noon tomorrow/Fri. 28th. I cleaned the utility room counters, swept, and worked so hard!
Then I dusted the great room, dining room, kitchen sills and eating bar shelves, the entry way and worked ONE HOUR!
Now my muscles feel so worked on, as though I've had a massage head to toe by Fabio!
I rested after lunch and feel good today, too.
I guess the dairy thing was my problem. I had no yogurt for breakfast, no cheese sticks for snacks, and feel so NORMAL!
I went on a lactose-free diet years ago, lost weight in about 5 months down to a normal level, too, and felt better.
DH got Pedialyte, Rice Milk, some fluids with glucose in them, a B-Complex Vitamin, and other things. So if the IBS returns with a vengeance, I'll be prepared for the 24-hours fluids diet. After that, it's the BRAT diet, but today I'm so OK!
I scrambled 2 eggs with some ground course sea salt in them, which help my particular electrolyte problem, (Low blood sodium) and 1 slice toast with margarine. It agreed with me, so unlike the yogurt breakfasts. I'm so happy!
DH said he'll eat the last 3 yogurts and the cheese sticks, too. I have PB, mini bagels, rice cakes, and there may be English muffins on hand.
My weight was down, but like DH said, I was depleted, weak, and lost from being so ill.
I felt good today, to get housework done.
Last night, I did a "Google" search on myself, which showed a contest short story win I had on-line last year.
Then, later, I went to a pen pal site, where a woman posted she'd been looking for me. I put a message into the lady who runs the site, with my info, but only my email address, not full snail mail address. She emailed me back how my old pen pal lost me in March of 2009, the P. O. mark was over my return address label, and she's always wondered whatever happened to me. I got her email address, emailed her a friendly email and am awaiting a reply.
Then, today the crochet magazine came with a letter in it they'd printed from a lady looking for an afghan, which folds into a pillow. I HAVE a pattern for that! SHE ALSO said she wanted new pen pals, too, I think she said she was 60 and I'm 62, so that will work out fine, too.
And then, another pal of mine, I'd not heard from for about 2 months wrote! She's fallen at work in Dec., broke her right wrist, her left upper arm, had surgery on the wrist, was in rehab for several weeks, couldn't write, and now she CAN write! She's working on knitting with both hands so she uses both arms/hands, too. I'd sent her a Christmas card and Jan. b-day card, but felt I shouldn't hound her with a lot of snail mail, in case "something serious" was going on, which it WAS!
I'm thrilled she wrote today. She's such a lovely person, too. Her brother's driving her places, since she can't drive yet, so she can do errands. Isn't he sweet? She's a single lady, a widow, with step-children, and she's recently retired, too. I'm so glad that she's okay now.
I need to figure out with DH something that's non-dairy for dinner tonight. Or we'll do separate dinners for each other.
I need to dust/dust mop the bedroom, he's vacuuming the gr8 rm/dining/entry now. It's nice the washer man is coming. The house will look so nice before the weekend!
OKay, sorry you had a LONG wait at the S. S. waiting room! Goodness! It's frustrating to go through a long wait, because you can leave!
You're just "stuck" there waiting.
Helia, You sound so busy! You must be about 20 years younger than me with a lot of energy!
Dee, We have Spooner's Farms strawberries here in the Puget Sound Region of the Pacific NW that we LOVE! The community goes absolutely NUTSO about them when they're ripe and their stands are out and they're at the Farmer's Market, too. ♥
Kathryn, I hope you get a good and fair property assessment, too!

Re: Then There was Thursday. . .
Bs was up again before dinner.
The baby was fine the rest of the day.
Dgd wanted story time so we did that.
She was trying to talk me in to let her eat cereal here for dinner when her dad showed up.
H. is resting they have been very busy at work.
I cleaned the chick's tote fed hens & gathered eggs.
Tamed hot spots but the blocks in the new orange bucket I got from home depot it works great.
Say's "lets do this" on it my new motto. LOL!

Re: Then There was Thursday. . .
Dinner is done. All the credit cards but one have been reconciled and the chits matched up and then shredded.
I'll do that and then the two bank accounts. If I get that done quickly, I'll watch another episode of Downton Abbey (I watched episode 3 while I did the dishes.)
I have a load of aprons in the washer. When they are clean, I'll fold up all but three (1 for dh, 1 for me and 1 to share) and get those ready for packing. That will make a bit more room in my pantry cupboard so it won't feel so cluttered.

Yes, helia, dd15 is enjoying volleyball right now as a team sport through school, and it's improving her sprint time and her stamina, she thinks.

Done the reconciling of the credit cards. Just realized I still have the bank accounts to do (the bank doesn't send a statement so I have a tendency to ignore these accounts.
Back to the mines - I can do this!
