Friday - March Seven

Hi everyone!

Just did 10 loads of laundry. Due to what must be Mike's most annoying "allergy" ever, I ran the machine twice for every darn load to insure that all the Borax (1 teaspoon only, because he measured it out for me for the first load because I must be using way too much soap...) got completely rinsed out of the towels, the sheets and all of his clothes....


I'm exhausted and very annoyed. I wish he would actually get tested for allergies, so we can find the cause of his chest and neck rash. He has eliminated so much stuff, including beer.

Did I roll my eyes a few times today? Oh yeah!!

Taking a moment to breathe before cleaning up the kitchen.

Worked on the storage room for 2 hours this morning. Actually, I worked in the main room, the eldest boy emptied storage room section for me. About 3 boxes will go back in but the rest will be sent somewhere else.

Most of it is textiles, mattress pads, sheets, etc. that I wouldn't expect anyone else not part of my family (knowing how clean we are) would want to use. I had one set of new sheets that I put in the Goodwill box since they were in packaging, the rest are in this 'in between' pile - not good enough to give away, but too good for landfill.

Dh worked for several hours on the workroom, making piles of things to keep with the house, and things to keep at the apartment and things to give away (very little in that pile.)

The littlest boy was very ill. Shivering and miserable. Little appetite, tummy hurt. Anxious for mommy to come back (and she was gone over 4 hours.) He spent most of the time in ds's bed, watching tv. That room was next to where I was working so I could keep an ear on him.

CM and CF got some more promising news today re: finances. The process isn't as bad as they thought. The deadline for the end of the process is April 23 but the creditors can respond more quickly than that. So we may hear more quickly. Cf called this afternoon and updated us with all the details of the meeting. He's confiding fully in us, which makes us feel better about riding this out with them. It feels more like a partnership based on trust.

I gave CM my pocket angel to hold onto today to help her hold her tongue and also to remember there are people who know her and believe in her. I've been praying daily that the creditors will find it in their hearts to stick with the existing agreement and not go back on their agreement even though things are opened up. There isn't a lot we can do but wait so I've suggested daily prayer for this outcome.

The World Day of Prayer service went well. My supply minister was there and the supply Anglican priest was there so I introduced them and asked them what questions they had about Good Friday (it is an ecumenical service.) They can now email each other.

It was actually above freezing today so I came home from service and then dh and I walked for the mail. So I've now made my steps for the day, plus some. I'm going to take it easy this evening.

Back in from a short walk pushing dgd in the stroller.
Saw a friend I mentioned in j & c she is back home from a 2 week stay in hosp. Complications from surgery 2 times she almost died.

Dgd helped dig so hens could scratch for worms etc. We moved some tulips by the chickens run to the front yd. Hoping for better results in their new location.

The cornbread in cookie shapes was a hit and fun.

Quick C. I. - I didn't turn on the computer until 4:35 p.m. Been busy decluttering, walking, wrote DD a letter, helped put away groceries from Costco and Safeway. Took 1 nap, too. Was beat. Am losing weight, so was very happy to give larger nice-looking like-new bras to ARC, too. I can wear my 38-C bras. I got buy 2, get 1 free on special about a year ago, knowing I'd be down into them. DD gave me a bra, too. Dusky blue. Very pretty. It's nice to get a donation together. Now there are 3 boxes and 1 bag.

It's been sunny here all day, but this weekend won't be as nice.

Dsis emailed how her new job's going, she's very happy, but it's challenging and tiring. I'm so happy she found it, too.

library. people in spaces I wanted to go but have an odd selection of books. rtnd all last books read, unread, partially read.
met some moving in neighbours. I missed my chance to sneak over the fence and remove a weed tree growing near my house. I will need to talk to them about it.
finished breakfast - short on time earlier.

Hi everyone! I did not come to the village yesterday as I had a migraine from @#$%!!! In fact, I did not do much of anything at all. Today was a little crazy: met with 3 different groups for breakfast, lunch, then dinner! Also picked up the last ball of yarn needed for the charity project. At dinner, I learned of a place that is hiring. DD12 is here for the entire weekend, so no cat clinic. However, that does not mean a no-plans day. It will be cats to clinic, lunch, Girl Scout cookie booth, cats from clinic, pick up cake, dinner, and possibly movie with friends. And I was told at dinner that there may be snow! Just in time for an outdoor cookie booth. My parents are coming next month, so I had better print off some of FlyLady's detailed cleaning lists and pick up after myself.

In other news, the foster cat that got adopted is coming back. The adopter loves her and she is behaving well except for one thing: she is an underfoot, and the lady has balance problems. My lovely quiet will be replaced by the squabbles of two wannabe queen kitties.

Kathryn: Animal organizations and shelters will take donations of sheets, towels, etc. They don't have to be 'human suitable', and it doesn't matter if there are holes, because they are going to cut them smaller anyway. And you still get the tax deduction.

Nancy, Sorry to hear of your dfriend's problems. I'm glad she didn't die and hope she gets better, soon, too.

Elizabeth, That's too bad about the underfoot cat. I, too, have balance problems and our cat gets underfoot and occasionally gets stepped on.

I have lol #5 in the dryer, the laundry basket's empty, and I wrote a short letter to a FL pen pal. I guess I'm not in the letter-writing mood, since I already wrote DD today and wrote 3 letters yesterday.

I hate the thought of losing an hour's sleep this weekend.
