Re: Formidable on Friday
I put the pictures into the album. Had to use some extra refill sheets to get them all in. Then I looked them over once and put the album away.
I also shredded a few things. Discovered that we are out of computer paper now as well as ink.
I had a lovely long and hot shower.
Dealt with emails that have been flying all day between myself, my sister, my brother, the trustee and the banker.
Soaked some pillowcases and tea towels in bleach. Now I just need to take them out of the sink and do a load of laundry.
I feel like it's been a productive day. Quiet with no tv going, which was nice.

Re: Formidable on Friday
Dh and I walked to the general store for the mail. It was a nice walk. Better on the way back because the sun came out so then it felt like it was above freezing. It was on the way there, but didn't feel as pleasant. It is amazing the difference the sun makes at this time of year.
Now we are cooking dinner. I've prepped the fish and started it, dh is working on the french fries.
Cathy: I have albums to finish (and photos to print off to put in them) and then I have to figure out what I'm going to do about them. I really have no place to keep them at the new place. Sure, they could go in a closet on the shelf but I'm saying that about a lot of things these days!

Re: Formidable on Friday
We've had another nice spring day. Lots of sunshine and just warm enough.
Dh had his last PT today; they told him he's doing well, keep working on exercises, especially his balance.
After lunch today I finished up weekly housekeeping....dusting, lol--washed, dried and put away, filled the little bird feeder in front yard, etc. Tomorrow I can relax while we wait for dfam#1 to visit.
I smiled at Kathryn's conversation this morning.
I was happy to read that LO's surgery went well. I see that while LO rested OKay was restless. It's not easy to be still when one is used to being on the go! (Wow...sorry his meds cost so much!)
Booksaver, wishing you a successful Lego craft bazaar fundraiser.
Cathy, wishing you a nice vacation/cruise.
Lynlee, yes, I hope your problem is fixed.
Cowinkie, congrats on the new car -- enjoy!
***Hello to everyone!***
hmm...now I forget what else I wanted to say. I guess I'm tired.

Re: Formidable on Friday
Cowinkie is having trouble posting. She says it says she's been blacklisted. Since we didn't blacklist her, I'm assuming it is her IP address that has been blacklisted and this is the same problem that Dee, Elizabeth and others have been having. (MT and I often get IP blacklisting when we travel but that's different.)
Does anyone have the right incantation for her to say while holding her tongue a special way?
The best tip I can offer is for her to release her IP address (she'll have to google how to do that with whatever she is using to connect) and to try and generate a new IP address although that hasn't worked reliably.
Instructions from MT:
If this happens to you, we don't have a sure fire way of getting you back on. The problem is with how your computer (more specifically, Windows 8 in almost all cases) is protecting you.

By "device that connects you to the internet", we mean a cable modem or whatever your ISP has installed at your home to connect you to the internet. It is because IP address has been blocked. Turn/log off whatever device that connects you to the internet and then log on again. That should reset the IP address and let you post. It happens to me all the time.

Watched two lousy tv shows and then cleaned up the kitchen.
Finally finished my service except for polishing and figuring out the music to be played during the sermon.

Re: Formidable on Friday
Hello.
I'm glad LO surgery is all over and he was so calm going in for it.
Not a good day here. Not much I can say about it. DH is in bed and he has left his walker smack in the middle of the kitchen. Almost like he did it on purpose to irk me.
Kathryn, my thought when you originally told us about the inspector was that the contractor forgot to order the last inspection. I was surprised when the office girl did not say that was the case. I don't blame you one bit for not letting the inspector in. That whole thing was a very poor way of handling things.
Here, we have to have a passed inspection at least every 6 months until the job is completed and finaled or we have to buy a new permit, very expensive. Once in a while something will get missed and we will be notified that an inspection was not done on time. Sometimes we get stuck because a homeowner who was supposed to be there was not and couldn't open a door, etc. Once in a while we get too busy and actually forget a final inspection. When that happens, we gather up the paperwork, call and apologize to the customer and take care of the problem. We never try to put off our problem or lie to the customer. That's just not professional. Your contractor deserves a big fine for doing what he did. Good for you!

Re: Formidable on Friday
I printed up 3 O.M.M. Lists, started filling them out with titles to stories, from lists, list pads, files, etc... And I filled up all 3 pages to = 90 titles!
I've gone back to print up 1 She's Organized Clearing Worksheet and 3 To Do Worksheets. I'll break the house down, room by room, on the To Do Worksheets, and whip everything into shape for/by Easter. Also, I want to do Spring Cleaning, so these items will be on the worksheets. It's very helpful to get ideas, chores, and OMM items, onto paper. Now I need to think.
We'll get rain here tomorrow, Sunday will be quite stormy with T-Storms, and I'm looking forward to St. Patrick's Day. DH and I bought a nice corned beef brisket, which looks tender, for $8.50. The other brand looked tough and they were priced from $15 - $18.50!
Too much $$$!
DH cooks his in the electric pressure cooker in apple juice. It gives it a nice flavor, makes it tender, and it's so good.
I hope everybody has a good night and a nice weekend, too.
