St. Patrick's Day Monday

Hello, hello! Happy St. Patrick's Day!
I'm wearing a sort of dull green today... maybe it will do. Not likely anyone at Wmart will want to pinch me, and except for the post office, the oil change place, and dmil's, that will be my only outing today.
I have already s2s & done my Bible reading, plus added quick exercise routine (mainly just stretching, really, but it helps me get "started" for the day if I do it), went to the post office & oil change, at dh's request... and I put a load of clothes in the washer. Waiting on him to be ready to go to Wmart.

It is so COLD here. Actually, it's about 38, 39 -- which probably sounds GREAT to some of y'all... but ooohhh... after a few "summer" days, that wind is sooo chilly!!!

True, Harmony... YOU have concerns and needs, too... you have every right to discuss with minister. Ditto all Harriet & Twins have said. Also hoping PT can talk some sense into him at next visit!

I missed the glimpse of Ireland... must go back...

Hmmm... treadmill. Dmom has a treadmill in her garage. Right now, it is used as a place to sit other things. Dmom says she might use it if she had a place to put it where she could watch tv. Has considered putting a tv in the garage. (Dmom is full of high hopes... * sigh *) I need to be using the treadmill; that's for sure.

I have heard that it is good to run Tang through the dishwasher, also, Lilac. Do you just fill the cups up like you would with regular detergent?

I am in agreement w/Harriet on Mr. Dee's comings and goings... good gracious... I totally missed his return to FL -- although I did see the post about his return to church, I think, or doing something w/dd -- and I thought, hmmm... he's back... And I do hope he is feeling well, Dee! (((BIG HUGS for you both!!!) And (((BIG HUGS))) for dd... didn't she go to visit dgd yesterday?

WTG to Harriet's dd34! Such a big step to take for such a wonderful cause!!!

One more thing on my mind... I just wanted to thank you all again for putting up with me. Last night I was looking through archives -- I like to do that, see what I was posting about a year ago, two years ago, etc... b/c as y'all know better than anyone, so many times I have been in total paralyzing panic over something that came to nothing...
But it did seem to me that my life has been such a drag on everyone for the whole last two years... Dfil was in ICU 2 years ago and passed away on the 20th of March, I believe. And ddad was going into the hospital that same day, w/pneumonia... and then the following January, he went to Houston and my life has been one big soap opera ever since. I just thought last night, "I have monopolized this board so much with all my concerns for the whole last two YEARS... and these ladies are still so kind and patient with me."
I just wanted to say thank you, again. Love you girls!!!

Oh, Harmony, I feel for you and can understand how you would feel 'going behind dh's back' so to speak. Hope you have some good answers coming your way and a lot of GOOD days!

Yes, Harriet, LucyLee, it was not all that long ago that dh was stuck in more than one snow storm up north. I see the weather isn't too great in your neck of the woods today, Harriet. Actually dh flew back here on February 25th and plans to leave here on March 23rd or 24th. So just barely 4 weeks -it's gone very fast. We have to go Friday to pick up the truck he's driving. Been spending a lot of time trying to map out his route so he can take the mission bandages with him to New Windsor, MD.

Yes, LucyLee, dd did go visit gd yesterday. She finally had a pass so dd took her to buy a few clothes (with her own money I might add) and took her to lunch. She had asked dd to bring her ipod and dd finally did that. Funny part was gd was never able to get on the internet at the restaurant. giggle-giggle.........

Windy here today tempory fence blows down every time the winds come up so I but them next door in the recess yd. I will get it back up later but it us misserable out today here. I dug up more bulbs, hens were a pest and got in the way so I was not able to finish but got my allotted time of ex. Done in two segments.

Home from Wmart, put away groceries, delivered dmil's groceries to her.
Back home, ate supper, finished (almost) second load of laundry.
This load is mostly socks and t-shirts so it is in the dryer now. Everything that can be hung to dry is drying.

Slow start this morning - and then I was behind and never caught up. When will I learn that things go better when I hit the ground running. ..I never even finished the a.m. routine today - but I did a lot of Hebrew translation, read and prepped for meeting with mentoree student, did 2 errands (got something in the mail for ds and stopped by TJ), met with mentoree student from 2 - 3:45, did a little more hebrew work and answered an email and threw together a salad, went to Heb. class which was more like 5:10 - 6:20 rather than the stated 5:05 - 6:05 time, cut up an apple and threw it in the salad, gathered items, went w/ dh, dd15 and GG to dinner party for exchange students and families, left there at 8 pm and came home.

I've had a snack (I hadn't eaten quite enough at the dinner party- not my required WW points, anyway - though now I think I miscalculated and have eaten a couple points over. . .) and gathered tutoring materials and checked emails.

Next:
- make a cup of tea
- prep for tutoring tomorrow
- prep for teaching team meeting tomorrow
- ideally, empty and reload dw

Tomorrow will be:
- tutoring 9 - 10:30
- teaching team meeting on opposite side of town 10:30 - ? (they know I will be late). I hope to be home by 12:30/1 pm
- laundry - becoming more and more needed. . .
- groc. store?
- dd15 to oboe lesson 4:30 - 5:30 (out from 4:15 - 5:50); drop her off at the high school en route home
- somehow, get dinner made and eaten and cleaned up before 6:45, when I need to leave again. . (I think I'll make the pasta sauce before taking dd15 to her oboe lesson)
- high school band concert at 7 pm

Fortunately, I have nothing on my calendar for Wednesday other than the dinner crew coming over that evening. So, I can look forward to a quiet day after a couple crazy ones. Thursday won't be too bad either, just moms group in the morning. Nothing in the evening, for a change. First open evening since. . .last Thursday. Oh, not that bad. Dh leaves town Th. morning. Deja Vu. LOL!

After errands we rested for a bit and then headed off for dinner at a schnitzel place which was very good but we are stuffed.

Dd is upstairs working on a school assignment now (she was to do it on Saturday but was sick.) There are eclairs waiting for her to finish but it is bedtime now so I'm not sure what's up. I've had tea while waiting.

Working on a long-term project I've been avoiding.

Glad to be going home tomorrow although dh is already starting to feel sick, dsil is coming down with it definitely, and if I'm well, I'll be helping CM when I get home. So even if I avoid getting sick here, the odds are I'll get sick at home.

Kathryn, I hope you won't get sick. But I know how germs are and I pick up everything, then feel puny. Hope your DH gets well soon, too!

The corned beef in apple juice in the electric pressure cooker smells divine! It's cooling down the pressure now, so we can eat in 20 minutes.

It was beautiful and sunny all day. DH went to the grocery store. I stayed home because I felt so puny, worked on a story, and rested.

I received some more sight-seeing info, for locations, to research for story settings and received 2 letters, too. I'll try to answer letters and crochet on a project I've been putting off for ages, which is a gift for BFF, for her B-day. I'll do these things during "Dancing with the Stars." The only reason WE are watching, is because we're Drew Carey fans, who hosts "The Price is Right." The last time we watched "Dancing with the Stars," was when Apolo Ono (SP!) was the dancing winner. He's an Olympian Medal Winner in ice racing in the winter Olympics, from our State of WA. We sure enjoyed seeing him win. Such a good-looking young man, too. AND Drew got his hair re-styled AND lost weight, for the dancing show. It'd be so cool if he won, but there's a pair of ice skater Olympians on this season, too. So this will only be our 2nd season watching this show. It's nice to have a change of pace, I think. Something fun and uplifting! The costumes are beautiful, the music's good and so is the challenging talented dancing, too. I'm sure looking forward to this evening.

Kathryn, I re-read your post just now. Sorry DD is ill, too.

I'm so glad I got a nap today. The full moon was shining into our room, bathroom off our room, while I was trying to get to sleep. It was so bright, shown through the door window and edges of the wood blinds on the bay bedroom windows, so BRIGHT! It was as though we were in a bright flashlight or flood lights off a truck. It kept me awake. So I've been slow to move today, so tired, and hoping tonight won't be as bright.

Harmony, I hope you get to speak to the pastor. That's what pastoral care is there for. Counseling, to listen, help aid you, etc...

Kathryn, I'm sorry you've been exposed to that bug and KinC now has it...

Friend I confided to on the phone said the same thing, I need to go talk with somebody over there. I did get the courage to peek into my email, nothing from woman and I was wondering why...

Then friend calls and tells me she sent that email to some people on same committee and asked what they thought. One guy sends message back saying if it was him, somebody would probably have to sit on him too... and my friend emails for her DH says she's seen us and I'm having hard time with him...

Anyway the upshot is that they're going to keep projects away from him for a while. Governing board guy calls to say 2nd project hasn't been approved yet (true or just a way to postpone?). One helper called to ask about the 1st project (easier one) which DH had actually forgotten about... so he intends to call supplier about thing he ordered for it.

And they left big truck over there which I had to go and move to another spot since 1 project is put on hold now... and I'm thinking helper wouldn't have called if he'd known what's going on...he's not actually part of the committee, just volunteered....

Such a big big mess. I actually think DH forgot or didn't believe when I told him I emailed that lady... if she just hadn't sent email after email and called and called. I'd like to ask her where her brain is.

We have a long list of stuff to do tomorrow after therapy. And must be there really early before apt. to fill out paperwork. Yuck.

Worked at my desk couple hours this eve.; helped with shower; cleaned up kitchen;
