started statement of early conversations.. much more to write about but its a start.

tearing my hair out for Harmony needing to deal with all that. I'm glad it appears they may be some folk there with a smidgen of sense, but until they deny DH any right to be there it will be tough for you to tether him. Glad work is postponed.

Another place for DS to go - Natural Arch. Its near the boarder to NSW. Not sure where all these places are beyond that they are all in the mountainous SE hinterland. Roads may not be direct, so it might be too difficult. Just some destinations I know about/ have been to.

This afternoon I took 3 kiddo's to the Lego movie. The two 5 year olds were excited about seeing that movie. I didn't care for it and ended up cat-napping through most of it. DGS16 and I had a short visit after the movie but we had little ears listening. I need to set up a time with DGS16 without the distraction of little ones.

LO surgery care is winding down. He has now completed two of his post-op meds. Only 6 days x 3 doses more to give of the 3rd one (antibody). Silly fella......he discovered that if he breathes in very hard through his nose.....that it makes his ears whistle.

Bummer......the ENT office called this morning to tell us they didn't get enough blood from LO during surgery to do the allergy test. She wanted us to take LO for more blood work. I told her NO WAY! Take LO for blood work is traumatic and I have already told LO that all the blood work is done for now. The nurse understood my concern and said they would test as much as they could with the amount of blood they have. If I remember right (from last time)..... that allergy test cost thousands of dollars. I certain hope they don't try charging us for the whole thing. Ugh. This is a bit uncomfortable. The surgery nurse is a friend we attend church with. I believe she was the one that didn't take enough blood.

Oh my... phooey on whoever was responsible for the shortage of blood, OKay... BUT -- you made me LOL about LO making his ears whistle... Maybe with the blood they have they will find at least some major triggers to his allergies and get some relief there. Oh -- but allergy treatment will involve desensitization shots, right? How will LO manage that? Or is it just the sight/thought of the BLOOD that scares him so much? Is he able to handle normal shots? Allergy shots are not like penicillin shots or stuff like that, anyway. MUCH easier to take, IMHO.

I met dd2 at the car detailer's place around 10. We went to her house and started cleaning. I emptied the dishwasher and ran the Tang thru it. It is stainless steel. Their water softener is out of salt and making everything cloudy. The Tang didn't do a very good job. I don't know if it is because the water was too hard or what. Sunny, I don't know if they still make Tang or not. I have 2 unopened canisters of Tang that is about 5+ years old. I use to use it to make a spice tea out of, but once I was diagnosed with diabetes, I quit making it. I figured even if it is older, since it wasn't being consumed, it should be all right to use. I hand washed and dried a small amount of dishes, then started cleaning the microwave. It was a job but looks great now. She went thru the fridge and threw away anything that needed thrown away, before I started cleaning it. I'll do the freezer side tomorrow.

Dd2 had made a wonderful chicken salad for lunches yesterday. It has nuts, red grapes, etc. Makes a wonderful sandwich.

About 4:30, I headed home and she went to pick up the girls at daycare. She had promised to take them to Target, so she picked me up to go with them, since I needed to help her pick up her vehicle. We were in dgd17 vehicle. We left here and I had wrote dh a note. As I left the house he drove up. We went to Target and were in there forever. Then we picked up an RX for her dh at Walgren's and the detail guy finally called. Once we got there he had to point out everything he had done, put in the floor mats, polish the headlights, etc. In the meantime, the girls and I were waiting. It was after 7 before I got home. Dd2 and dgd17 came to get dgd17 vehicle a little while ago. All of this has been said, to point out what a time saver it will be for me when she moves closer.

Dgd4 is complaining of an earache, so dd2 will probably be taking her to the dr. tomorrow.

Last night, I fed dd1's 3 dogs. A friend of dsonil was suppose to take over this morning. Dd1 called me as I was on my way home at 4:30 and asked if I had fed them this morning. I told her no because I didn't know I was suppose to. The guy hadn't done it this am, so those poor dogs went 24 hours without food. They just snarf their food down, because if they don't eat their own food, one of the others will. I would have fed them if I had known they hadn't been fed.

So glad that LO has recovered so quickly from his surgery.

Harmony, I feel so bad that you are having to deal with your dh and his lack of resting and recuperating. Maybe you should remind him how much he hated being in rehab. Doesn't he realize that he could over do and never recover? I wish I was closer, I would help you shake some sense into him.

Harriet, that is a wonderful cause that your dd34 donated her hair to. She was probably encouraged to do it after dd15 had taken the leap and cut her hair. By the way, does dd15 still like it?

I had more individual comments and my mind went blank. Imagine that!

Harmony I just wish there was something I could say or do to help you during this time. I ditto what everyone else says especially about taking care of yourself.

My mom is in pt at the moment working on her balance issues. My guess is when your eh goes in tomorrow the pt guys will have much to say abt your dh's idea of recovery. Perhaps they will have enough to say to make your dh pull in his reins. I would make sure they know exactly what he's been doing and let them handle it.

Pt people are used to patients who think they know more abt their recovery than the experts do. Plus if the pt guys work him hard tomorrow, dh may be too tire to do much for the rest of the day. The start up of the pt appointments may be a good thing.
