Woot, the service for tomorrow is all finished and in my preaching bag. Just in time for my date for dh.

We also had a nap. I didn't actually sleep but listening to calming music refreshed my mind and body.

So it was a good day.

Dh and I are getting excited about our 'new' life and are thinking of moving the actual move date up by a week. It bumps into dd's move a bit (we'd be packing of the 6th and 7th, 8th is church anniversary so a day 'off' and 9th would be the loading day, 10th unloading day. That gives me much less time to help dd (and less time for her empty boxes to be used by me) but, otherwise, it works well for me.

I'll check with dd and see what she thinks.

We are home again and unwinding. I need to walk ddogs soon - they are feeling "needy."

Great trip to see ds and the GT design competition. It was truly amazing - working together in groups they had to build a "machine" to do a set of specific tasks within 40 seconds - shoot/move stuffed animal Mario and Luigi into a center cylinder, slap or otherwise move stuffed animal Bowser and Donkey Kong out of their area, collect certain benchmarks and rescue stuffed animal Princess Peach. To advance in the two preliminary rounds, a team had to have either a first or second, then to advance in third round, a team had to have a first place. Ds' advanced to the fourth round and finished there, around 9 p.m. (the competition started at 6:15.) It was really cool - three "arenas" with four machine each staggered starting a few minutes apart like a three ring circus. They had a specific amount of time to set up, then 40 seconds, then judges had specific amount of time to tally scores (all using iPads, of course.) The specific assignment is online here: http://singhose.marc.gatech.edu/courses ... others.pdf Throughly enjoyable evening except that we were standing all evening looking down onto competition, and my feet, back and hips hurt!

This morning we went to Dawsonville GA to outlet shop. Not that we needed anything of course. (Dh's mantra with his clients, is....do you need it.... or do you want it?) Fun day - some purchases at Pottery Barn outlet, Williams Sonoma, Eddie Bauer, pair of summer sandals, then trip home.

I'm feeling miserable for what I haven't managed to do this week for temple biz. I kept letting other things get ahead so tomorrow I am meeting w temple secretary to get annual meeting notice done, and then tomorrow afternoon I must make some calls regarding our fundraiser. We have a meeting on Monday morning, and I will have to admit that I just haven't followed up on several of my assignments. And then on Monday I also meet w incoming president, then take dMacs to PT at 3 p.m. since we missed today, and then watch a webinar at 9 p.m.

To top all, I forgot to take my CPAP machine and so slept very fitfully off and on last night. If my dark circles are this bad every day I need to buy stock in concealer cause I look rough right now.

I am back from errands and a lovely time at the spinning meeting. Got some fleece. Then went for a walk in my new Berkinstalk sytle sandles while h. Was working on gathering up info. For the tax person. I am enjoying the warmer weather.

I found some yarn and couple of kid books at the thriftshop. At the spinning meeting place a coffee shop I knew they would not have much I could eat so I brought meatballs only from subway and had tea that was my lunch.

I hope he gets a great course grade, Twins Mom - looks like a fun project and competition. Sorry you didn't get fitbit credit.

Nancy, I'm glad to hear the new spinning meeting was good.

lucylee, ever since my ddad's many bereavement floral arrangements I've been pressing some petals with the rule that I don't purchase any but find them. I have been chronicling a lot of wildflower and roadside gatherings in A, C and N and posted a few photographs in February there. Just making bookmarks out of them. I am pretty much bookmark crazy lately. Just love all the creativity directions they can go. Dd and I have some gifty ideas for a completely different type for Christmas.

My green-eyed boy dgs2 arrived and brought me out of my doldrums. We ate canned peaches bites for the first time and amazed his Daddy, who insisted he would never eat them. (Grandma's house is magic.) We made light circles on the floor with a flashlight to give the cat exercise. We followed chickens around and kicked the volleyball. A tiny scratch on the forehead meant 3 colorful cartoon bandaids on fingers (where the bandaid goes has nothing to do with the original ouch). Very happy to see his dexterity with utensils these days, plus an agreeable nature coming out, more acceptance of "no"s or "not now"s. Very good about following through on throwing away, putting away. Many "Love you"s.

Ds29 and ddil have decided that ddil will continue her education first, which makes me a little pensive, but I understand. A higher degree will mean more for an RN than for a firefighter, in terms of better hours and working conditions. She has chosen a private college with good reputation and a lot of tradition, and I know my dmother would be happy to hear she'll earn a degree there. She might even consider the physicians' assistant degree - things are different for the RN educational path these days. Trying to remember they are a team now, and if ds makes sacrifices for her to succeed it is just another way of giving to himself.

Ds has a blood blister from a ladder falling on him, sigh. But he is fine, he insists. He says the important thing is that they saved the burning building. City manager commended his shift. But all I can think of is a ladder fell on my child.

Have been reading. DH watched the 1951 version of "Angels in the Outfield." It was good. Now he's watching the newest latest Superman.

I think I'll get back to my snail mail and reading again now.

I printed up a poem for a pen pal to read. She writes poems, does poetry readings and writes stories, too. :)

Today's gone by so fast, for me.

Everyone, have a good sleep tonight and a nice Successful Sunday. :D
