My Thursday Theory is to take a morning nap, maybe. I feel so exhausted. The coyotes kept screaming on and off between 11 p.m. - 1:30 a.m. and kept waking me up.

I could get started on pre-Easter cleaning. I could write on a story, or read, or crochet. I'm trying to get in my daily 30-minute walk. I can't think. I'm too sleepy yet and it's 10 a.m. I got up around 7:45 a.m. At least it's a bright sunny beautiful day. :D

My china cabinet needs cleaning, too. It's such a hard job. :( But it's so gorgeous once it's done and those glass shelves and the mirror in back are shining. :D That's motivation in and of itself. ;)

Booksaver, My Geek Squad people told me that Webroot was the best anti-virus software out there. We didn't have good luck with Norton OR McAfee, either one. I heard Kapersky was very good, too. I guess it just depends on your preference. You need to research and make a hard decision. I have both Webroot and AVG on my system. You can download AVG for free, too. A computer tech put it on my laptop. Later, in Jan., Geek Squad put Webroot on. I'm very happy with both. Good luck!

Done with that round. Put off one errand by emailing instead, and incoming Prez finally emailed saying he wanted to set up meeting re: communications. (I am a lame duck at this point, and he won't feel personally involved.) Cowinkie, thanks for the vote of confidence! I am also going to put off the return at mall until tomorrow or next week.

Calling "enough" on a.m. routine - kitchen table clean up where I have sorted papers is all I have left.

This time:
-download genealogy software and install
-email re issue now that I have email address
-straighten up MBR
-fold lol
-head out on rounds.

And here I sit with this not posted, nearly in tears over all this stuff. Will perhaps put more in members only but I am just worn out right now with issues.

Coming by to say hello. I haven't been doing much except sorting papers, pick up / put away all over the house, answering the phone..

I did make a trip out to the bank. It is less than 2 miles away. If we had a bike path or sidewalks I could bike. But since it's along a busy road, I can't.

My theory is if one just plugs along and doesn't stop doing things, eventually stuff gets done and one keeps up and eventually makes progress.

Sleep was good last night to de-stress me of all the things I'm presently worried about. Able to take things more in stride today.

Enjoyed a time with no radio or tv going, completely calm and quiet, as I sat and finished my book. Mental health day?

I put some limited details over in members only. I am heading out on the two errands, then to dmom's now.

What a day.

BTW, just found my Fitbit in washer with the pants I wore yesterday. It's sitting in a bowl of rice now.

I don't think I have a theory today... thinking of one is too difficult at the moment.

However, we did get a good night's sleep... no emergency calls from dmil/caregivers, no news is good news -- Hey -- that's my theory for the day!!! LOL!!!

DH & I have both been for haircuts.

Will be watching dgs later this afternoon and checking in on dmil.
Collecting names of possible caregivers. Very tedious process.
Need to call my own dmom.

(((Twins)))

So glad to hear Harmony is getting a much needed mental health day!!!

OH -- re: antivirus and all that stuff. Apparently my aol account has been hacked. I have been getting those emails that say "mail undeliverable" -- but it's some crazy thing that I didn't want to send anyway! I was just ignoring it all, then dh's cousin replied and said he got one and it was something to do with women's health. * sigh * So I've changed my aol password and am hoping and praying this will put a stop to the problem. * sheesh *

Nancy -- I love your theory. 100 days of focused attention. Maybe I should make that my goal w/exercise. I am thinking maybe I can get a walk in w/dgs this afternoon.

That IS a good app, Dee. What is the name of it?
Tomorrow is another day.

if you give anything 100 days of focused attention it will improve,
I agree, Nancy, that sounds like a wonderful theory. I can think of lots of things that would absolutely improve. My BS for one -and I am trying to keep that below 100. A1c is based on 100 days.

That's the antivirus I have too, Ivy. Had AVG & Geek squad thought it was causing some problems -so I paid.

I think the app is located under All stay -maybe 1 word. Look for apps giving hotel chains. Can click on more than 1 chain and then name a state. Think it will save us a lot of grief. Imagine most of us have certain chains we prefer. I'm thinking traffic may be heavy when we head out -hope not. But this way we can figure how far to travel & book ahead.

I like nancy's theory too! 100 days seems like a long time. I like Harmony's theory as well about keeping plugging along. Sometimes, that is exactly what I need to be encouraged to do.

I finally got off this machine and did some plugging. My teeth are now clean, the dw is running, my groc. list has been finalized, and I'm ready to check on the hens and then head out to Me ij ers. They have some things my groc. store doesn't carry anymore. Their prices are lower too -- but they dont have other items that we use weekly. I don't need any specialty items today, so I'll give them a visit.

I'm plugging too, Helia and seem to be getting so much done. Managed to make my phone calls to dh's doctor and got an appointment for a perm. I started out scanning in 5 recipes to my computer and ended up doing all 16 that I had clipped from here 'n there. Figured I'd just keep going -that at least I'd remember what I was doing that way. Each time I do something like that, it's that much less I have to take north. The computer will weigh the same, no matter how much I add to it.

Just shredded another file of investments -records (2009). Next up '08. Figure a file thickness is enough for the shredder at a crack.

I think my "Thursday Theory" was that I was so cranky because my china cabinet in the dining room hadn't been cleaned in so long. The last 2 times I did it, I only Swiffer dusted the shelves and put everything back. I worked for 1 hour today, I stripped it, had the ladder, cleaned the mirrors, glass doors, sides, cleaned on the tops and bottoms of shelves. DH put some china in the DW on china/gentle cycle. It's the medium plates. The larger dinner plates are in the wide entry china cabinet. In the dining room, the things inside the cabinet are primarily decorative. Whew. I'm beat, am sweating, took off my shirt and put a tank top on. I had to wash sweat off my face, my hair feels sweaty, too. Will shower before dinner or before bedtime. A 2nd s2s for me today. So back to Mrs. Cranky Woman.... I think my china cabinet's been nagging me behind my back, because every meal in the dining room, I saw dust, dirty glass doors, sides on the china cabinet. You know what they say about an orderly home yields an orderly mind. :D I'll put the other china through the DW, once the current load's done. Might as well keep out a stack, covered with a hand towel or something, to keep it nice for Easter, too. It'll only be DD, DH and I. But it means I can use my good jacquard pink tablecloth to match the china. The only thing is, I don't have matching placemats. I have royal blue solid ones and emerald green solid ones, woven ones, and I don't want to use the vinyl ones for Easter. DD got us these cool bamboo placemats that are hooked together, like squares attached to squares, leaving square holes between the squares. They look pretty darned good over the blue solid color placemats. Since the bamboo are holey, the placemats underneath them can catch spilled foods/drink. Also, you can't see the clashing-like color of blue mats v. s. pink tablecloth that way. Now Mrs. Cranky Woman is very happy! It all boiled down to that china cabinet. It nagged at me before and after the window washers came. It's over now and I'm razzed! :P :D   P. S. I even found a cobweb inside my china cabinet going from the top light to the back mirror to the glass shelf!!!!! Ugha-bugga!

I am thrilled to be getting so much accomplished, but at the same time dismayed by all that I'm not getting to. After being totally caught up on paperwork last week, it is now stacked almost a foot tall on my desk waiting to be processed. I take comfort in that I was so further behind on paperwork this time last year so hopefully I am making progress overall.

One of the spring steers decided to see what was on the other side of the fence this afternoon. I called DBro to sent someone on horseback this way, but we were able to take care of it before they arrived Thankfully it went relative easy with the help of a stranger who happened to come up the road from the right direction and was willing to "push" the steer down the bar ditch with his pickup. It took about 15 minutes to get the steer back inside the fence where he belonged.

Tonight is ball practice which takes up the one hour of free time we have each night.

School bus just pulled up. Time for after school snack....homework.....all the normal weekday doings.
