:D GOOD MORNING, LADIES!!!!

I got up very early. Here's my "ta dah" list, so far:

X QT & Journal
X Wrote today's "to do" list
X Washed 2 bathroom sets of throw rugs
X Cleaned the utility room counter & sink
X Made our bed pretty
X d2s, hair, make-up, etc...
X Breakfast, pills, supplements
X Coffee
X Downloaded B 'n' N free blog book for Friday
X Made calendar reminders to keep me on track today
X Saw the a.m. news, read obits
X Put dirty laundry in utility room basket
X Put 4 nightgowns into the ARC donation box
X Tidied the 2 GR8 room end table tops
X Swept the utility room floor
X Swept/mopped powder room floor
X Swept/mopped main/guest bathroom floor
X Spot mop & dried fir floor in kitchen
X Rested & put my feet up, journal wrote again
X Tracked "Frozen," DVD, which is out for delivery. Yeah!
X Cuddled with kitty cat in my lap, pet & scratched her, talked to her
X Set dawn simulator for Saturday a.m.
X Wrote a "to do" list for Saturday/17th

When I mop, I use a spray mixture in a spray bottle of vinegar & water. DH hates the smell, I LOVE IT, so if he wants to mop, then he can have at it with his little machine with perfume cleaner, which acts up my allergies. So I love the clean vinegar-ie smell, especially since there are no allergies acting up with it. 100 years from now- does it matter if I prefer vinegar/water over fragrance cleaner?

DH is getting firewood cut, hauled, split, but once we had showers. I hope the showers stay away until they're done. They've got about 45 minutes to 1 hour & 10 min. to go. It's dark, cloudy, & 20* cooler than yesterday was. :o Rains come today through Monday, too, but Tuesday through Friday look real good & sunny again. :D

OKay, Hoping you find a pipefitter soon! :!:

Helia, It's nice you chatted with your DH. :)

Nancy, It's good you got boots for toddler N. :!: :)

OKay, Enjoy LO's school program! It brings back happy memories for me! Love to hear about LO, etc....

Dee, It's VERY HARD for me to give up "things", too, so I know how your DH feels. I try to put myself into the "I'm-blessing-others" mode though, which helps. You're very productive this Friday, too! :!:

Kathryn, It sounds like a GR8 conversation with Surfer Dude! :D

Lilac, Any more news from the hospital? :?: How's he doing? :?:

Oh, shoot! Now my bra straps are digging into my sore shoulders, from stacking wood on Wed. & the work I've been doing today. :x I need to go strip off the contraption now. My sweatshirt is ALL DIRTY from sweeping/mopping, etc..., TOO. So I need to change that, too. :!:  I'll try to get back here later on, with another "Ta Dah" list- IF I don't get too TIRED! Or get "Sidetracked" again! :o

Have an Awesome Friday! :D

Got something into the computer. I have read recently it is important to write something, anything, and then go back and edit. After all, you can't edit nothing!

Then I had lunch.

Then read a magazine (quickly) and cut out an article for dd. Then, still being hungry, had a snack and brought in the paper and recycle bins. Read the paper.

Now I'm back at my desk but expect interruptions shortly. Hopefully the septic guy will show up (and the buyers who want to be here when he is here) and the lady picking up my material for from freecycle.

I'm wondering about the aneurysm too, Harmony. Dh's regular Dr had mentioned it a couple of months ago. But when he saw the gastroenterologist on Tuesday he did not mention it. But he did call him (while at the cardiologist's) on Thursday and said he'd noticed it and it needed to 'be watched' so wanted to see him again before we go back to FL in the fall. When he goes to his regular Dr. I'm sure he'll have more to say about it. As for retirement? Who knows. He did say last week that he didn't know how much longer he might work. He gets very tired and has arthritis quite badly so I know it slows him. But he's one to persevere no matter how he feels. I've always marveled at his tenacity as when I'm done -I'M DONE! Feel guilty when I say I'm tired as I know he has to be way more so.

Walked back to that yd. Sale got 2 stuffed toys for the girls 5 & 2, plus 2 pr. Glitter shoes mary jane style in pink and gold for toddlerN who comes a shoeless lot. SO we did a shoe fashion show!

She is smart, "iggy" sounded like micky as in mouse then she brought the stuffed piggie like the story on the cartoons she was watching today.

I did those rounds - visit at mother's and refilled up her meds, then on to meeting at the other synagogue, and then as it ended I realized I was late for the body work appt. I called, but he said that traffic around there was awful because of repaving, so I rescheduled for Monday. I went by WF on the way home and bought salmon for shabbat dinner, then when dh called me I impulsively asked if he wanted to invite someone for Shabbat dinner, and he called friends. Now I'm almost sick that I got myself into this and need to get rolling - another trip to grocery, need propane, need to get wine. OTOH, the dh friend is still trying to get in touch with the wife, so who knows if they will come or not?

Either way I guess I need to get moving....
-start challah in breadmaker
-get propane tank and go to U haul store
-liquor store
-grocery

UGH.

and another ugh. I just had to put the "Cone of Shame" on my poor dMacs. I have been watching him and until today had not seen him licking his incision. This afternoon he is licking it. Poor little boy.

Aw, poor Macs. Twins you are busy! So are you Ivy.

I've gotten next to nothing done. Thought I was feeling good, but am fading quickly.

DH called and I went out to jobsite with something he forgot. At least got dishes done and kitchen cleaned up somewhat. I took out the compost. Brought in sheets hanging up on garage line for a few days and put them away. That's not much.

Phone's been busy, every time I start something it rings and I have to stop what I'm doing. D. is coming to see DH about something. She tells me I looked sick yesterday. So it wasn't my imagination I needed all that sleep when I got home. She says she's stressed too and can't get her house cleaned up either. DSiL told her she slept 8 1/2 hours last night and she usually only sleeps half that much. I think we're all worn out!

((((Harmony))))

Back from LO school program. LO's name was pulled from the "caught being good" box which I know thrilled him, but even better his "girl friend" name was also pulled from the box (for doing something different than LO). So they were both called in front of the whole school to be recognized/applauded for being good when they didn't know anyone was watching. *** Sweet moment ***

DGD2 turns 3 years old soon. Yesterday I asked DD for an address to send DGD2 birthday gifts and received a reply. Soo.....I'm taking LO and DGS16 with me to shop for gifts to send her. Girly, frilly, Hello Kitty anything.... here we come!!

It is such a nice day here. No clouds, 73* and a continual breeze 20 mph with occasional gusts to 25-30 mph. Perfect day!

OKay, it's nice to see that LO is a happy, carefree guy!
Dee, hope it works out well for dgd with dd's teacher friend. I'm glad you have now flooding where you are. Sorry there are others near that have had too much water, though.
Nancy, your cookies always sound so good. Oh, and I bookmarked the link for friendship bracelets for dgds17 & 12 to look at. Thank you for the link.
Lilac, I can understand your dd's dmil being upset that she can't do as much as she used to. It bothers my dh very much that he's not able to do a lot of things around the house.
((Harmony)), I'm happy to hear dh's hip is healing well. One less worry. I'm hoping for you that things settle down and your stress level goes down with it so you can feel better. You've had too much to worry about for a long time!
Twins, aw, ((dMacs)). Maybe the healing incision is starting to itch.

While dh mowed the lawn I finished up weekly cleaning, so that's done for the weekend. I just have a few things to do in our bedroom - seems like my room is always the last to get done every week! I will run a duster around and pupua after supper. I also swept the driveway and pulled a bagfull of weeds in the front.

Dh is calling for supper..... OKay, WTG LO and dgfriend for your awards. So glad you heard from dd!

Sigh, I hate being right. The first quote for the septic system is $30K, which is exactly what I said it would be. Just shows the veracity of crowd-sourced local info (picked up from conversations at Christmas parties, general store, the pub) is higher than numbers off the internet. (BTW: that includes $4200 in taxes and permit fees - something that internet quotes from the US wouldn't necessarily include.)

I've written the potential buyers that the unfairness of spending $30K on something that offers us no benefit doesn't sit well with us. I also said that we are going over our options which include pulling the house off the market, fixing the system and putting it back on with an agent at $60K more (to cover our cost of the system, agent commission and cost of carrying the house for several more months.) Or, of course, we could come to an arrangement with them. There will be another quote on Tuesday and they will be at that meeting so I've also said we put all this aside until next week.

Back to working on the sermons. Still editing.
