Just the calm before the storm here, LOL... the "storm" that is Hurricane DGS, LOL...
He should arrive around 1:30.
The plan is to get my walking in when he arrives, while ds runs. Then ds is off to teach a banjo lesson... then he & dh are off to music thing 2 hours away. I had first planned to go and then I thought, nah... that's crazy. It's a fairly long show, and ds will only do probably one solo (he's helping out another friend, playing back-up for him)... and that's just crazy. I'll spend all my time just pushing dgs around in a stroller, get home late, and then have to get up and go to the dentist tomorrow.
So... after I get s2s -- and hopefully dgs will be happy to play in the playpen for that length of time -- THEN... we have lots of errands:
* drug store if doctor called in rx home health nurse requested for dmil...
* dbil's office (IF we have pick up @ drug store... dbil needs to write us a check for over $275 at the moment)
* dsgm's to pick up quilt and drop off pants and sweater I decided to let her repair.
I also need to call dcousin in the hospital and check on her...
and call dmom and ask if she wants to accompany me to dentist tomorrow. I sorta hate to do that...

... but I know I should. Dmom has lots of errands in dentist-town that I could help with, plus, we could go by and see dcousin.
Just rambling disconnected thoughts as I cuop...
WTG,
helia's dd!!! A humanitarian award out of 375 students is REALLY something to be proud of.

at the decorated mortar boards. In our little high school of probably 100 grads, our senior sponsors would have a FIT if anyone tried to decorate their mortar boards! We have always been very very strict about dress code, etc. at graduation. Last year I taught, a girl showed up in black Converse tennis shoes -- girls are restricted to white or nude-colored shoes -- and it was quite a big fuss. I've seen college grads w/the decorated mortar boards though.
(((
Nancy))) I already know it is going to be sooo hard for me when dgs gets older and I sense ddil/ds being stricter than I think they should be. Tough situations...
* I have a note on my computer now, w/the AT&T Connectech #, which reads: "BUT FIRST, unplug router, log out, restart/reboot!"
So sweet for
Harriet's dd to help w/special ed prom. Another thing about being such a small school, our special ed students take part in regular school prom, and (also my last year) the prom king and queen (elected by the seniors) were both special ed students. I was really proud of our seniors.
Love
Harriet's dd34's sense of humor... I know this waiting time is driving everyone crazy, but I'm glad you're doing it. DH is convinced inducing labor was rushing dgs. Hmmm... wonder if that has anything to do with him taking so long to start walking and now to start talking? Hmmmm...
So sorry to hear about the missing boots,
OKay!!! Did you call the GW store? Surely they will turn up somewhere soon! So sweet of
LO to search for princess kite for his little sister!
I think Hawaii sounds like a wonderful rx for
Mr. & Mrs. Helia, after all the excitement and busy-ness of the last few weeks!!!
Ooohhh,
Elizabeth! You go, girl!!! I cannot wait to hear the X's reply to THAT!!! Of course, it will probably turn out that the "prognosis" was overly pessimistic and Camp Grandma will proceed as usual w/miraculous recovery and "those doctors don't know what they're talking about anyway..." BUT -- ooohhh -- at least HE will know YOU know! Good for you!!!
Waving to ALL!!!
