Re: Furthermore, on Friday
Harmony, have you been getting enough good quality sleep? It takes a long time to get over poor sleep, yet nights of good sleep are so restorative. You follow me in bumping a car in church parking lot, remember? I was so embarrassed - it was a visitor's car!!! I am proud of you for your skepticism and not just accepting new meds and popping them in your mouth. You are wise and after you think it through you will know what you want to take and don't want to take. Drive at low-traffic times - it's a jungle out there and not just for you, for everyone!!! Probably a false positive on the previous test and it worried you over nothing for too long before you got another test to prove it wrong. That takes brain power away. Oh my, if you have someone else's brain in your head
do be cautious it is not one like mine, for I certainly must give mine a talking-to on a regular basis! {{(((hugs)))}}

Re: Furthermore, on Friday
I think my sleep's been ok. I've never been told I snore or have those stop-breathing episodes, etc. I had forgotten about your car bumping. I was backing out and had gone way back when this lady began backing out also. I believe I was first and she hit me. Her bumper just needed buffed out I think, and mine was on a spot that already had a ding from years ago, so...
It's just amazing to me when I'm preoccupied or distressed how hard driving is. Stuff just seems to happen at warp speed all around me. I know I'm just not concentrating properly.
Actually, I'd trade my brain for yours any day, Harriet, but then that'd leave you with mine and right now I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy!

Re: Furthermore, on Friday
Hi everyone! Before bed check in. Today started with yet another vet trip. Patient had a shot of antibiotic and got refills on pain meds, but since it was a surgery day rather than appointment day, she had to stay most of the day until someone had a chance to look at her. That made me late to the knit/crochet group, but saved me money, because I ate before I got there. While there I got a call reminding me about an afternoon commitment I had made. I was so glad they called, I had completely forgotten, because I did not check the calendar before rushing the kitten out the door. Did that, then went to a craft party, at which I got the call to pick up the kitten. I told them I had to leave and could not come back because I could not leave the kitten in the car. At which point, the group got very excited and invited the kitten. I did return and she got passed from person to person, quite happily. While there, she met a small dog, which she ignored. This means it was probably not a dog who injured her eye. We don't know how she got hurt, but the assumption is that she was attacked by another animal and got away.
I decided to call my xMIL to tell her I was not going to accept being treated as if I don't exist. Interestingly enough, she tried to turn it around, saying I did not come to her door! At least I did bother to come out! I told her that she had made it clear she did not want to see me. Then, she tried the, we had been on the road so long, so tired, etc. Well, she managed to get out of the car to go to dinner! I also asked her how she would keep up with 5 to 7 cousins if she was having so much trouble. Apparently, she can handle that, just not crossing a parking lot. I mentioned that I had realized that next year she would not need to come out all this way to pick up DD12. (No, I did NOT say DD would skip Camp Grandma!) I reminded her of a non-stop flight to Atlanta that we could put DD on, which would be a much shorter and convenient drive for them. Then, it was "well, we want to come out". Ok, so I get it: 1. dinner is worth getting out of the car for, I am not; 2. she is old and frail when she has to see me, but perfectly capable of looking after 5 to 7 grandchildren otherwise; 3. the long car ride out here tires her out so much she can't cross a parking lot (except for dinner) but we can't make other arrangements. She didn't seem to understand what I was trying to say until I said that however I allowed people to treat me is how DD would think she should be treated. THAT seemed to give her a clue. I also told her, "I am not sure what those two adulterers have been telling you about me, but you really should consider the source." She did not deny either the adultery or the badmouthing. The whole thing makes me sad.
