It's 84.5* here, they say it can get up to 90* today, and I had a good 1/2-hour appt. with my therapist.
DH is at Safeway now, getting groceries. I'm hoping he finds catfish or crab cakes agaiin.
I'm doing LOL and need to MT the DW. I'd love to tidy up my walk-in closet, get out dgs-5.5 yarn for his afghan, out of the bin in the walk-in closet, too. Have writing to do, reading to do, but did yoga and walked 1/2-hour. It's so wonderful to get yoga/walks in before appt.'s, with anybody, because the appt.'s go so well, because of the endorphins.
Sadie, Congratulations on reaching your left-hand jeans pocket now! Sorry about the delay in Dson-18's procedure.
Helia, That's super about the interview. We'll be pulling for you.
I need to run to turn the LOL and start a new load. I wanted to relax to watch the re-broadcast of the news at noon and read that new book "Hidden Treasures," which is about SHE's.
TTFN!

I got to the grocery but won't make it to the YMCA today. Earlier I set up a pedicure appt and a meeting for tomorrow.
Need to get off my tushie and do some productive tasks:
-purge refrigerator
-reboot laundry and fold/put away
-make the bed
-clear kitchen table and bkfast bar
-get ceramic pot for plant on back porch out of the car and put it out there....

Put away the dishes in the DW while DH was gone.
Helped put away groceries when he came home.
1 LOL is drying.
Am on my way to get yarns out for dgs-5.5 afghan.
Then, I'll tidy the walk-in closet.
Not too much to do today, since I did a house blessing on Monday.
DH said he'll dust mop, he did vacuuming yesterday.
I dusted, dumped trash and washed toilets.
Now I can go read.
Have a GR8 Afternoon, Everyone!

Twins, you are absolutely doing a great thing for your dsister.
Helia, good luck on your interview.
Sprinkling here. DH came in, said the mosquitos were so bad out he called the mosquito control dept. in our county. I haven't seen their spray truck around for a long long time.
More project problems with county. Phone calls and then finally a trip down with the original papers they refused to take the first time. We had everything right, the counter gals didn't understand the higher-up's notes. Just a huge time waster.
I did get some cleaning up in the kitchen. Ran the dust mop around too.
My latest effort in trying to stay calm: I've started a 500 piece jig saw puzzle. I was getting bored with my crossword puzzle book.
Grumble, grumble. I went to the tuck shop and got a sugary snack. Came back up and got off on 17 and made myself walk to 22. That's five floors of stairs (2 x 8 so really 16 steps per floor = 90 stairs) I got credit for 4 floors (which, I believe on the fitbit is 12 = 48.) I feel cheated.
Oh well, I wasn't too exhausted by that.
Forgot to mention that there were times yesterday when I was walking completely limp free. And today, I caught myself dancing to some music. Big improvements on that health front!
Didn't get a bike ride in today. Tomorrow, I might do what dh does and watch an episode of my show while on the exercise bike.
Just noticed an amazing sky as the last of twilight fades.
DH is broiling a large steak we'll split to share. I got my salad fixed. He's fixing mashed potatoes and creamed style corn. He puts his born on his mashed potatoes. I don't eat cream styled corn, as they don't agree with me at all.
DH gave the bird bath cold water and more feed's in the bird feeder. He's watching the Mariners play the Indians.
I continue to read on "Hidden Treasures," by FlyLady's dsis, Paddi, her DD, and their dfriend, Ken. It's very good, a page-turner, full of neat ideas. I LOVE IT! ♥
Turned my calendar to August, as it is faintly showing the last week in July above the August calendar pages.
The smoke detector's going off, although we ARE using the exhaust fan above the stove-top.
Better run. Dinnertime.

FF: I updated my purse calendar tonight and learned how to jump to a specific date in Google Calendar (it is an add-on.)
Dh called me at 6:15 to say he was in the line-up for the box office to get his tickets. He had prepaid his parking but not bought a seat at the park just in case there were delays and he didn't make it before the game ended. Turns out that his proof of prepaid parking was all that allowed him into the area near the park and had he risked just showing up, he would have been caught a long way away, searching for parking. He said he was in a long lineup but he was sure he'd get through it in 45 minutes (and needing only a single ticket, he knew he'd get a seat.)
The Blue Jays won so I'm sure he had a fabulous time.
I'm off to bed now. Still spinning wheels so there's not point staying up.
That's nice to hear the smoke alarm and realize it's dinner time, FFriend.
Don't have a long list of accomplishments today but I handled Desk Day for our household, grocery shopped, made a low-sugar cobbler from fresh peaches for HRH as a special request (attitude adjustment after dentist !), exercised 40 minutes learning a new workout, and visited my colorist.
Mosquitoes that bad? Yipes, Harmony! Is your jigsaw puzzle an interesting theme?
Sadie, HELLOOO, back jeans pocket! Sounds like a helpful marker for your range of motion. We'll have to "show" Lynlee!
Finally put dgs in the pack-n-play so I could take a nap! Good gracious... he is so much FUN... but sooo exhausting. When I woke up, there was not an inch of floor space in that room -- he had thrown all the FP letters AND the big-size Legos ALL OVER the room... plus the FP people from the farm and Main Street... and all the cars of various sorts and sizes... oh my goodness.
Now he is again bringing FP letters to dh and me and calling out (grunting?) letters... and leaving them all over the house, so it is like an Easter egg hunt every hour or so to collect them and put them back where they go.
And ddil's call this afternoon was very worrisome... she is so frustrated and overwhelmed by the little house they are living in that she cannot stand it, which leads to bad moods with her, which leads to bad moods w/ds, and she probably shouldn't have even told me so much but I'm glad she feels close enough to me that she can. I did tell her that if they do not BOTH figure out some way to make putting away and cleaning up a HABIT and ROUTINE, then a bigger house is just going to mean bigger problems. * sigh * I just don't know... She's also discouraged b/c she still feels she doesn't KNOW anyone here except US and when I told her she should take dgs out for a walk every day and she would get to know her neighbors better, she said she didn't really want to know most of them. But they live in a WONDERFUL neighborhood -- at least three older couples that go to our church, plus the preacher, whose daughter is the same age as dgs, and ALL good, nice people all around -- people who would LOVE to know her better and would love to see dgs out and about. So what do you do?
Plus, although she called twice since she got home at 1:00 pm, she did not come over to check on dgs's bump on the head from the fall out of the bed. I know I'm overprotective, but I think I would have been here before I went home from work, you know?
Anyway...
We went out and ate (Krystals) and had ice cream... stopped at dmom's to get her to sign the corrected bill of sale... (she had not found the missing checks yet -- said I told her to relax and she did -- she fell asleep!)
When we got home dgs and I took our 2-mile walk, I watered the plants, and finally took a nap. I have a load of clothes in the washer now, b/c we also ate watermelon and as you would imagine, I got some on my shirt.
OH -- and I did one thing today I had been putting off FOREVER, and I felt so much better afterwards! There is a couple in our church -- actually, they are some of ds/ddil's neighbors -- both are in their 80s and the lady has MS and some other chronic health concerns and she has been out of church for quite some time. Her husband has been staying home with her as well. We have never been close-close, but during various issues going on at church through the years, we've talked a lot, and I've always thought a lot of her. She and her husband lived next door to my grandparents when my mother was growing up, so we have kind of a shared history. I am only a year or so older than one of her daughters, and I taught both her granddaughters in school. Anyway, I just think she is one of the sweetest people I know, and I LOVE talking to her, and I would think over and over, "I need to call Jane." Well, her husband was at church Sunday by himself and I talked with him a little bit, told him to tell her I was thinking about her... and then I saw in the bulletin that her birthday was yesterday. Well, today, I just thought, I am going to call her -- if it's a bad time, they'll tell me. She answered the phone and we talked for over 45 minutes. I think she was glad to hear from me and I was certainly glad I made that call. When you get those little nudges in your heart, it's best to follow up on them, isn't it?
