(((Dee))) Remembering.
Awww... (((Harriet)))... try to believe dss and HRH and try not to worry about the dog... I know that is nerve-wracking, though. (((HUGS)))
It has been pretty quiet and simple in lucyland today... we have slept all day long. Didn't go to church after getting in so late last night and having such a long day. But I really shouldn't be complaining -- I slept absolutely all the way down there. We ate breakfast about 45 minutes from home, and then I remember hearing ds say something to dh about "malfunction junction" in major city traffic... I remember glancing at a bridge somewhere along the way, and the next thing I knew, we were turning off at the college town road. * whew *
BUT -- it was sooo hot, until a little while after the game started. Sweat just pouring off of us, and we had to stand and visit and etc etc w/the group and dniece's tailgate party. She's on the dance team, and this was the week dbil/dsisil had to host it -- so we were invited, and felt obligated to attend, but it added another hour to our day.
OTOH -- ddil decided that yesterday would be the day to start potty training. So far, I do not think they are having a lot of success, but apparently efforts are continuing today. Tomorrow we will have him for a few hours while ds provides music for a funeral. And then Tuesday, dh will want to take him to the nursing home and that takes about 3.5 hours, altogether... so THAT would definitely be interesting. I don't think they should go back to diapers till they've given this a fair chance, and 3 days is probably not long enough, right? (They are not following the book I gave them w/the3-day plan, just winging it, as they are prone to do.) So I will be lobbying to stay at home w/dgs Tues. if things have not changed rapidly.
Wed. is my check-up at ob-gyn... and someday this week, we plan to go to dmil's and start dividing furniture w/dbil. THAT will be interesting, too.
I have not even s2s today, and it is after 5:00 p.m.
