Hello, Everybody! :D Just a quick C. I. to say:

I got up early, have done this- so far- on a Conga:
- dusted every room, that we dust, that is.
- dumped trash from every waste basket.
- I hung up clothes (3 things) in our bedroom of mine.
- DH cleaned the 3 toilets.
- I'm drying laundry I washed.
- DH just cleaned kitty cat's potty box and is adding fresh kitty litter now.

I wrote DD a letter and decorated it with Happy Autumn stamps.
I had QT, but forgot to write in my journal, which I'm on my way to do now.

I need to:
- finish putting away this laundry currently drying.
- rubber stamp some envelopes and Happy Autumn cards.
- perhaps work on my childhood scrapbook.
- get to re-writing 2 stories on a story, which I've been re-editing in my brain for 1.5 weeks!
- write 4 pen pals.
- dust mop the wood floors.
- do my evening routine.
- write tomorrow's "Hit" To Do List. (It's a term, Hit List, which I learned from a book, listing important things to hit the next day, some things are brought over from the master to do list, like CEO talks about people keeping, too.)

Have a GR8 Afternoon, Everybody! OOPS! I forgot! There are also to do:
- clean the bathroom counters and sinks.
- clean the kitchen counters and sink.

I cannot overdo it because of health "issues," so need to baby-step the process and what I cannot get finished today, can wait until Saturday AND Sunday because no company is coming this weekend.

Take care! Will try to BBL. ;)

Went out and walked 2 miles w/dh & ds (and dgs)... s2s... post office, bank, grocery store, and supper.
DS will be back in an hour or so to leave dgs with me so ddil can sleep and he and dh can go to high school football game.
DDIL is going to be home alone w/dgs all weekend, so ds wants to let her rest tonight.

DH is frustrated b/c ddil may want ME to keep dgs next Saturday as well, while ds goes to college game w/dh & she stays home to rest, b/c she may work two shifts Sunday. We don't know for certain yet if she will have the extra shift or not. DH gets sooo frustrated w/this for several reasons, but the main thing is not knowing if we have an extra ticket to sell or not.
And then daunt called this afternoon and wanted extra tickets! BUT -- dcousin wants SIX tickets, and at the very best, we might have three, but it is unlikely we will have more than one. And we don't know until ddil tells us. So... yes... dh is very frustrated.
Also frustrated b/c we will have dgs Sunday night, "our ONLY night to go to a movie" b/c ds will be out of town tomorrow & Sunday, and ddil will be working Sunday night. * sigh * I have very little sympathy in that regard, b/c if dh were not so determined to watch the Braves go down in flames, we would have EVERY night to go to movies.
OH -- and ds wanted to know if dgs could spend the night with us the weekend of his birthday (next month) so they could go out, possibly overnight trip, maybe just a date night. No problem there except that is our anniversary weekend, (35th) and dh said, "Well, we usually go somewhere on our fifth year anniversaries..." * sheesh * I really do NOT care, and I have told dh repeatedly that between the trip to California in Jan. and the George Strait concert, I feel that my 35th year of wedded bliss has been quite well commemorated. Besides, the only places I would really like to go are places that dmom would say, "Ooohhh... I want to go there again someday..." and then I would feel sooo guilty for not taking her. We told ds to go ahead and plan on treating ddil to a weekend then.

I understand ddil getting overwhelmed w/being alone w/dgs for extended time... but OTOH... he IS their baby, and they think they want another one??? Nancy -- will you have yours 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, when dd (ddil?) starts back to school? It is exhausting, I know. I don't get a thing done when dgs is here.

Don't get much done when he's NOT here. I did manage to s/s kitchen and both baths, wrote checks for two bills, and called duncle before we went out to walk. I know I waste sooo much time. DH should hide my iPhone from me when he wakes up. Used to, I couldn't use the computer when he was on it, so I might be forced into some sort of productive activity. Now I just waste time on the phone if he has the computer tied up.

(((Harmony))) * men * sheesh *

I have Outlander on my dvr but I've only watched the first couple of episodes. I really like it though; I'll get caught up eventually. I LOVE my dvr!!!

Waving to ALL!!!
Tomorrow is another day.

Used the Rocco Dispirito cooking technique to cook a recipe off the internet. Tonight is was pork roast with apples and onions. Pork tenderloin really is quick and easy when you know what you are doing. That's twice now that I've got dinner is reasonable time (about 45 minutes) using multiple ingredients. This is real cooking (slicing, dicing, simmering, braising, etc.) and once I get started it is go-go-go but the results were excellent again tonight. I even used dijon mustard, which dh and I don't like but I thought it might be key to the recipe and we couldn't taste it, we could just taste the tangy-ness it is to impart. It is one of the ingredients Rocco uses in a lot of recipes since he feels that 'diet' cooking should have big taste.

I'm stuffed despite it being a low calorie dinner. Having a cup of licorice tea now to aid in the digestion.

Ds is on his way over now. He slept until 6 p.m. today (about 11 hours) so is a bit groggy and decided he wanted to come here to shower and get ready for work.

I'm in the dining room and just looked up and across to the living room window. The city looks pretty.

I've been somewhat productive since getting home from bodywork appointment. I mostly emptied the cabinet that we have stuffed full of judaica, and moved it so that it's visible all the way through the house from the front door. I suspect it may be a more pleasing view than the chair from our breakfast area that we had there before, to move to breakfast table when needed. I have to get used to it tho - and need to move another chair to fill the old cabinet space. We'll see how dh likes it when he gets in on Sunday. Also did a good sweeping and dusting on patio/covered porch and moved some stuff off the porch into the garage to reduce crowding - also moved firewood out to the firepit area. It will need another sweeping/dusting before Rosh Hashanah company, but it's a big improvement already.

I need to get a very early start tomorrow - I am going to lay out what I'll be wearing and make myself a li%t and perhaps change purses.

Opened mail while on the treadmill (need a larger desk for that in the future, 8" x 12" isn't enough!

Then CM called so I talked with her until ds arrived.

Now I'm back to staring at the mess in the living room.

Edited to add:

Paid a bill. Heading off to bed now because I can't concentrate and dh is already in bed. Apparently, we are doing an early start tomorrow rather than working late tonight.

FFriend, you asked about WonderBoy in some thread I can't find now. He is my 6-year-old grandson. bittersweet had called her only grandson ( born not long before my first grandson8 ) "MonsterBoy" here on the boards. So I had started calling my first one "DangerBoy". (We used to compare notes about how they jumped off furniture, etc.) This seemed like a fine idea until my grandboys started multiplying. I called the next one WonderBoy, because he had so much wonder at everything. Emptynester helped me designate the next one "little britches" to keep them straight when I posted, but he's 4 years old now and not so little at all! And then ds29's toddler son has green eyes so I designated him "my green eyed boy" to know which one I was talking about. But now there's another baby boy for dd34, and I have probably come to the end of my creativity with names!

Got NO conga done today. Rats! I'd stood outside and walked around while on the phone and it had started to mist a little so I guess I got a little wet, not so much that I could tell. Sat down inside to eat and felt chilled, so I napped under the afghan. It was 81 in the house but I thought it was really cold I had such a chill.

I had to go outside to "spot" DH while he did something dangerous under the truck now up on jack stands...and I asked him what I could possibly do if the truck fell on him, and he said drag me out or call 911... I was so glad when that was done.

My arms and upper chest are so sore, from laying on my back under the truck trying to support that drive shaft for so long. It hurts to move them. I did get the kitchen cleaned up tonight anyway, and one last edit on the long statement.

I sympathize with Nancy and Lucylee with all the babysitting, also Lilac. I know I get no work done while the dgkids are here. Well, Nancy, you seem to get a lot done still..I don't know how you do it!

Waving back to Harriet from Saturday.
I have got my days and nights sorted enough to be back at tai chi twice this week, and am hoping for church in the morning.
Went to the markets after tai chi this morning. There's a stall with all my 'alternate' food sold in bulk. Seeds, figs, even bi carb. I need remember I can get epsom salts there too. Fresh veg - beans and ginger today. I bought a heap last week.

Lucylee - Remember the word "no". You do have a choice in all the babysitting. They might need to find another person for the times you aren't available, but won't if you are always available.

Dog is after his walk early today. I think I need a clar atine.
Just begin.
Living this day, today
Take a reality check; Remember to breathe; Do what I am able to do.
Look for the good in all.
