Don't make me swim the big pond over there & up the river (oh! just remembered -I can't swim

). Well you'll have to rest on your own, Kathryn!
Finished the dishes and rearranged the top food shelf so I could put the flour and brown sugar up there for the winter. Not really concerned about mice in those upper cupboards but never sure of the lower ones. Have a large box of food things for dh to bring with him -just hope it won't be too heavy for him to get to the truck. He may end up eating some of them -such as graham crackers & popcorn out of there, but not much else.
I have 2 pieces of glass from my Mom's chandelier over our dining room table. For the life of me I can't figure how they were attached. I'd like to string them to something and let them hang in the windows as a suncatcher. But can't figure out how to do that. Perhaps dh will have an idea. I don't even know how I ended up with them. I'd seen others around here that were just the tear drop shape, but these 2 have an additional ball strung from the end. They're too pretty to throw out and a very nice reminder of dMom. Perhaps if I ever figure it out, I'll give one to DD in FL -she was especially close to her DGrandma.
When we cleaned out dShelley's house I had reached the front door and something urged me to go back & look at her window over her sink -the blinds there had been down. I raised them and there was a pink glass butterfly with a small caption about thanking the teacher. I took it down, planning to keep it and it instantly came to me -"No, give it to dd (FL) as a remembrance from her sister." It has hung over DD/FL's sink window ever since. This diamond shape would be a special pairing, I'm sure. Have to figure this out! Perhaps I'll wrap both carefully, take them with me & give dd one for Christmas. THEN, perhaps between the 2 of us we'll figure out something. Thanks for letting me 'talk' this out to me.
