Catching up from yesterday, perhaps - seem to have gotten my reading reversed!

Although I know hearing the "song lyrics" can get frustrating...... ...sounds like a questionable doctor to me, lucylee, to put that "song lyric" into any patient's head in the first place. So, some women are different from other women. So what. Just a calm statement of a difficulty, a reasonable plan to help as much as possible, and then encouragement - that's the doctor's responsibility. I can't imagine saying to anyone that they "shouldn't have even". Goodness, what did he tell patients with eating difficulties - that they "shouldn't have even" started? And the poor folks with asthma better run from his door. :|

Great job on redecorating, new bedroom furniture and organized closet, btw, for your dmom, lucylee.

Best wishes, Elizabeth, on all different career efforts.

Being interrupted - HRH and I both complain about this. He says I sometimes think I know what he's about to say and start adding to it before he gets to his point. I say he sometimes begins a sentence on another subject while I am talking. I think my complaint is the worst of the two!

Get well soon from injuries, Elizabeth's dd and blessed's dd!

Congratulations to Kathryn's dd and dsil on Uncle and Aunt-hood!

Lilac, that's encouraging news for your dh.

Our redo progress - I have cleaned the bathroom from all the mess of painting (it looks great - this paint choice was ideal, thankyouverymuch), and cleaned the complicated shower rod with hydrogen peroxide wipes, into all the crevices. Tossed the old shower curtain liner, but unfortunately found that the new one purchased may not work. Having a hard time purchasing the mirrored medicine cabinet we want, since the small cabinet-making shop only makes one at a time. (It's not that great, it just matches what we need and HRH has his heart set. Possibly can get it next week.)

Hi everyone! :)

Another new month. I love that clean slate feeling. Started the day with cleaning up the kitchen since I forgot to do it last night. Dh & I were both on our own for dinner & we each made something quick & simple so not many dirty dishes but enough to wish I was starting this first day of October with a clean kitchen! Got a phone call out of the way & am waiting for a reply later today.

Hope your appointment goes well, Dee. I "wanna" decorate the house for fall today, but also "hafta" clean the bathrooms. I wrote a list out last night of things I want to get done but those two are my priorities.

Hi MT. Enjoy your walk today. I should add that to my list for this afternoon -- it is nice & cool here, plus cloudy so there will be no sun in my eyes. Plus ddog would LOVE a trip to the park :) .

((Nancy)), it must be so frustrating to have your bs numbers bounce up & down every day. Hope it straightens out soon. Sending you a toasty warm cyber blanket -- 44 degrees is cold!

Hi Twins. You posted:

"I identified with Lucylee and FF last night when the posted about their DHs interrupting. My dh does the same, usually asking me a question about what I'm telling him before I get to the end of what I'm trying to tell him; usually it's in a different direction and once I change directions I can't remember the pt of what I was trying to tell him. "

I could have written this, too, word for word :) . I rib dh a little sometimes by calling him Psychic Man. He interupts because he thinks he knows what I'm thinking and/or what I'll say next.

Hi Bookie. I like your goals! :) Oh, and thank you for reminding me about recycling. We have pick up tomorrow, too & its not on my list.

Hi Elizabeth. I just stopped & said a prayer for your interview & possible new job. Glad for you that the interview is in the morning so you don't have to wait & be stressed all day.

Congrats, Feline Friend, on getting another story published! :) Way to go! Dh & I are backyard bird watchers, too. We've been feeding for years & enjoy seeing them every winter.

Hi Harmony. I'm glad for you that that big project is done. I hope those door frames are not too heavy. It amazes me how many hats you wear for your & dh business. Not only office manager, bookkeeper & secretary, but you also do a lot of physical work. ((Hugs))

Hi Harriet. Your new bathroom looks beautiful. :)

Waving~~~ to Kally! I see your porch light on :) . Waving~~~ also to Ellyphant -- I saw in another thread that you stopped by recently. :)

Dh & I loaded up the truck yesterday with more basement stuff to take to the dump. Some very old shelves, a small table, & a big, heavy cabinet. After we cleaned it off & started to move it we realized it was too heavy for me. Have to brag on dh :-) -- he went & got a big electric saw & sawed that sucker in half! :-)

OK, better get moving. Good night, Lynlee. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Just spent the last 1/2 hour on the phone with "Jason" at A mazon. I had ordered a particular item that said "shipped" last Tuesday and was supposed to arrive on Thursday. After some manipulating on their part, the order was finally cancelled (it never arrived and according to UPS it was never picked up.) Then I simply had to reorder it (after it was credited back to my account). But because it was way over the time it should have arrived, my P rime membership was extended for one month. Know it went up this year but it's always been very advantageous to us and has made ordering relatively simple.

Now to figure out how to return another item -was the wrong thing -my fault.

Then have to get ready to go to calling hours for our dneighbor. Dh hopes to get through at least by 5, take his shower/shave and get on the road. Funeral home is about 35-40 miles away. They're having hours 4-7 and then a service of remembrance. Know dh is hoping to get there and being able to leave within a reasonable time. Now I'm wondering if DS-A even knows of this -he should, by the go-kart racing 'phone' line.

Hello, Everybody! :D This is a quick C. I.

I logged and subbed my story. I need to clean my desk now, I'm on my lunch hour, too, will start LOL running, eat healthy and walk a bit. Then, I'll log my next story, which is going to be "challenging".  Why, you might ask? :?: Well, I wrote out a plot index card, with characters, rough plot to hand write from, and lost it. So the SHE I am, I had to write a NEW plot card, then hand wrote the story, and after all that- I found my earlier plot card on my desk, where it belongs~ Now I need to write what I've handwritten for 10 pages, but need to look at both plot cards, to insert the best of two cards, into the story. It'll be quite the job. Also, the characters on plot card #1 are different names compared to those on plot card #2.   I think it's best to relax, maybe take a long lunch and go back to work about 2 p.m. since I got an early start on writing today. ;)

I wanted to say that DH's insulin/drug study med, where "adjusted" again and his BS was down 40 - 50 points this a.m. :D

Waving to you ALL! :D I need to run and do my homemaker "stuff" now, on my lunch hour and hit the salt mines again later, too. Hoping to have my evening free, for crochet and planning out tomorrow's writing, too. Working from home is very challenging, although it's nice, too, but it's like I need to drag out a whip to use on myself to keep me on track to doing the right things on time, and NOT let the house "go", in the process! :!:

Have a Super Day, and I hope you're getting your Wednesday Wannas done, too! :D
BBL. ;)

Afternoon ya'll...

Well I must confess I am guilty and am the one to interrupt Sweetie most of the times...but he is so SLOWWWWW starting what he wants to say...has hugh pauses between thoughts and takes forever to tell me what he needs to say. I swear I could nap between his pauses. And its so frustrating to me. I do have a girlfriend whos husband "talks" the same way to her and she does the same thing as me. Sometimes I want to say to Sweetie....hurry up and spit it out, but knowing how his brain works, that ain't gonna happen

We also have problems with conversations because Sweetie is such a literal thinker that he sometimes questions the "words" I am using in my conversations. At one point he got so picky about it that I finally had to tell him to cut it out or I would refuse to talk to him. After all no one else I know has any problems understanding what I am saying.

I washed a load of cashmire sweaters early this morning and now have them hanging up to dry. I own 10 of them in various conditions. Some I've had for many years and wear around the house during the winter. Others are more acceptable to wear when I am running errands or teaching. Most are black. If I could I would own every thing I could in cashmire. They are soft, light weight, aren't very hot when its slightly cool out and very warm when it is cold. Perfect for living in the desert during the winters.

Have a slight migraine today so I'm taking it kind of easy. Tried a new nasal med with this one, and its seems to have worked pretty well.

Course ya'll have seen the information about Dallas and ebola...I kind of have the heebee jeebees over it because my son doesn't live too far from the hospital. Just keeping my fingers crossed that CDC is telling the truth. I'm old enough to remember the Polio epidemic so am taking the wait and see attitude.

Off to figure out whats for dinner... cya'll later

All packed up... dgs is here, we are just waiting on dh to get s2s and ready to go. And he does seem to feel a bit better this morning. * Answered Prayers *

Harriet, I guess you are right -- doctor was kind of insensitive. However -- it MAY BE that doctor was simply agreeing w/dmom. Part of this song includes dmom's admission that marriage was the most important decision of her life, and the one she prayed least about. At 15, you know, "she left the suds in the bucket and the clothes hanging on the line." She said the year before, she and her best boy buddy had their lives all mapped out -- they were going to be medical missionaries to Africa. She truly felt this as a calling in her early teen years. This was NOT a boyfriend at all, just a lifetime good friend. Then -- best buddy was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident. The following summer she met my ddad... all suntanned at the river, blue eyes sparkling... and that was all she wrote. Dmom said, "And then HE became my mission field." * sigh * And -- except for a few bumps in the road -- she did an amazing job with him. So, I guess all's well that ends well, but sometimes dmom gets to rambling and doesn't really hear that little 'filter' saying, "Okay, that's enough... let's listen to another song."

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JQ7hu3PYVM
Suds in the Bucket, by Sara Evans ^ -- if you don't know the song, give it a listen. This is live from the Grand Ole Opry. It's my mother's life story. ;) (Except dmom was 15, not 18, as the song says.)

Well, y'all wish us luck... gotta get on the road soon. Waving to ALL!!!

* OH -- dh also interrupts to ask questions before I get to the point. Sometimes he asks the question Right Before I was going to say what he was asking about. But like I said, I admit I interrupt sometimes too... I have realized that when my aunts and cousins are all together, we all talk at the same time, interrupting and talking over each other... five conversations going at the same time. LOL. None of us seem to mind.
Tomorrow is another day.

I never did get out of the house. When I started to leave I found the dog invisible fence alarm beeping in the garage - I'm pretty sure that the guys who were here this morning aerating the yard cut the wire somewhere. I've got a service call in to the invisible fence people and they're supposed to be here this afternoon.

I usually look at dmom's bank accounts and credit card accounts online once a week - just to be sure someone is reviewing since dbro has the credit card and also access to cks, etc. He has a SS disability claim in - hasn't rec'd answer on it but otherwise has no income and is living w dmom and taking care of her. But I noticed this morning when I looked at her account that she has written cks to her dgs $450 in the last month - $300 about two weeks ago and now $150 that cleared yesterday. This dgs is dsis' son - the one with three kids. I talk to his wife regularly but not contact w him.) Anyway, both cks appear to be mother's handwriting but I am going to ask dbro to "hang around" when this guy comes around and try to discourage the ck writing. I don't doubt he needs it, but OTOH what dmom has is not going to last very long if she's supporting dbro and writing cks to dnephew.

To make a long story longer, that prompted me to buy a basic Quicken download and set her accounts up so I can download transactions. Since I have a POA, I feel I should keep tabs. And, I'll set up dsis' bank account next - I've been using an Excel spread sheet to document her bank account and what she owes me.

Heard from realtor today that the buyer for dsis' house still hasn't gotten money to title co - we may have to regroup and put back on the market. :? Not good.
