Re: Thursday's thoughts
Had a nice visit with dd. Dh and I walked over to the transit station so we got a short walk. And we had lunch together, she did her errands here (swapping off-site backup and scanning some photos) and then we went shopping.
The sermon remains as elusive as every although I've attempted a start.
I'm feeling really queasy so bought a Dr. Pepper. That is helping a lot but I really feel under the weather. I told dh to have Chinese food tonight since I don't feel like eating anything. I will eat something but at this point I have no idea what.

Re: Thursday's thoughts
Long afternoon here. While getting hair done, dd called up, distraught about lots of things and stressed - my injury was one of the things she was apparently upset about, along with her roommate (who was recently diagnosed with MS and today skipped a treatment of some kind) and another friend who needs her gall bladder out. After my hair was done I texted dd a photo showing the cute haircut and how much better my eye is. Went by temple for a quick visit with secretary and then got dmom's meals. Along the way, got a call from dsis' nursing home that she is refusing to shower again. So they got her to a phone and I talked to her and convinced here, I hope. (She said she had broken her "worry stone" and I said I'd order another one tonight only if she took a shower. I feel mean but have to use what leverage I can.) Visited dmom, and found out she took a fall also but not a bad one, thankfully. The offending piece of furniture won't go back in that space. I wonder if she is also cutting down on showering or if she's not changing her clothes often enough. Suggested that she let dbro wash the house dress she was wearing as it appears pretty stained. Not a pretty smell added to the musty house, dogs, and dbro's cigarette smoke.
On the way home got an extension cord for the outside pumpkins and gassed up the car.
I'd really like to just collapse but will take a break and try to get going again after I treat myself.

Re: Thursday's thoughts
I'm getting ready planning out Saturday because from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m., on the Hallmark-HD channel, there is The Good Witch movie marathon. Plan to do Christmas crochet, marching in place, stretching, yoga/Pilates as I watch. Will clean on the master bathroom during commercials, as well as dust the MBR again, like last week. I have 1 wooden blind left on 1 bay window in the MBR to dust, too. Might venture into pulling out my Barbies' dolls small bin/with their clothes and the boy doll. It's the guy that goes with the dog Scooby Doo. I think the guy's name is Scruffy????
I got him because he looked more manly than the Ken doll (at the time) did. I have him, the dog, 2 Barbies, clothes, and made some clothes in crochet. I have Barbie doll patterns, from Simplicity #'s 4702 & #5785. I have scraps, too. So another thing I can do during the marathon, is cut out and sew Barbie clothes. I need to get some scraps out, etc... and set up for that, before the marathon. It comes in useful b/c DGD will be that age, to play with Barbies someday, too.
So much is "The Secret Life of Feline Friend."
I walked 1/2 hour, only earned 101 points at a site for that, so need to walk more today. 3015 steps so far & it's 3:02 p.m., so I need at least 7,000 (roughly) more. I'll get more steps in, getting my crochet projects & Barbie-making-clothes projects all put together.
It's sunny here now. DH and I both voted by mail, but will use the drop box to place them in tomorrow.
Not much going on here today. Just got through reading on a book some more, still on chapter 1, which is very long. I might not crochet because of the marathon crochet on Saturday. I'd like to do some writing by hand. I have 2 letters to read, which I possibly will answer today, so they go out tomorrow. The one lady's in her 60's, writes by hand-printing, so beautifully. It's like true type-setting. Wow. I should tell her how she'd make a great calligrapher. I'm one, too, but don't have the hand she does. She's marvelous!
I made a little gift for the postal clerk at the store for her b-day. The man there said he'd make sure she got it before her Hawaii trip. She collects turtles, so I have a turtle sticker on it, printed up a quote, to match it, in green ink. It's something she can display on her desk or the counter.
I'm just rambling now. Must be tired?
Have a good afternoon! My Dsis emailed me, very upset, how her house's appraisal was lower than expected. She's angry about it, too. But the good thing IS she's finally selling it after 14 months! I'm sorry she's so disappointed.

Re: Thursday's thoughts
Dh biked for his dinner. I listened to more theological discussions and made notes.
We had dinner.
I've cleaned up the kitchen and have the dishwasher running. I need to bake brownies tonight for tomorrow's church dinner.
I still need to write a service and sermon. I feel like I'm getting closer.
Dh has a conference call from 8 - 11 tonight so perhaps my writing will take place this evening.
Am now in my 2 hour can't eat before my pill time. Can have some tea without milk, so will.

Progress on all those things...
-Kitchen table still needs more clean up, but progress
-package is wrapped (Harriet would be proud, used pretty paper and a chocolate satin ribbon (originally for card making) on pink/brown paper, but need to cut out/decorate a card
-can live with kitchen counters for now
-started updating lists, but need to get the list I was writing out of the car
-pumpkins on porch are on, but need to tape down cords...
I need to walk the poor patient dogs now.

Re: Thursday's thoughts
Twins ... You have me laughing. I attended a baby shower over the weekend and thought of harriet too while wrapping mine. I couldn't find any boxes that would do so I wrapped each gift in tissue paper and then rewrapped them in paper. Made fancy bows too but had to put the gifts in a party bag. I couldn't find a box to save my soul.
Then was at big lots and they have their Xmas stuff out including plain white gift boxes sold in bundles. I have another baby shower to attend in a few weeks so I quickly bought several bundles. Think I am prepared for the next year
