(you a little.. me whole bunch)
Think I'm in the "little" right now but soon to be the "whole bunch". :lol:

Not getting much done today. Had a rough night from 1-5 and not feeling very well. Wanted to go to the kitchen to heat up some water for an A irborne, but was afraid of disturbing dsonil. He still spends most nights in the recliner. I'm not sure it's doing him all that much good. And now it's a habit of a year or two. He does still have a lot of back problems and I know that worries dd as to how long he'll be able to keep working. Now he has co ca co la talking to him about a job. And that's only 5 miles away so who knows what he'll decide to do. I am sure though that dd will insist on some work being done on their house -such as new floors and work on their water system, if they don't end up moving. The floors will need doing regardless so she may as well plan on it and enjoy them for a while.

I had women's group and was in charge of refreshments for this morning. Dh was going to church to fix a light as well. I ended up not going as I didn't want to spread germs so he took all the 'stuff' with him. I pretty much snoozed the whole time he was gone.

Just finished doing up last night's dishes and cleaning up the kitchen. My next round will be to clean under a very large table in the office. I got the top of it cleaned yesterday.

DD texted that she'd pick up something for dinner on her way home. Yay -I surely do not feel like cooking. Had shepherd's pie last night. Trying to decide if we should eat some for lunch or save it for dinner tomorrow night. There's probably just about enough for a serving apiece as long as we put something else with it.

Kathryn, here's agreeing with you about Grandchildren. WTG to Ken.

DS-A was elected for his next term as Deputy Chief of our local fire department. A good friend (the present chief) was elected as president of the fire department. It was a good change. The guy who's been in that position has held it for several years and it had pretty much become more like a 'dictatorship'. Know he refused to have anyone else listed as being able to sign checks (which in my books would be a big no-no and a little scary). DS-A should become Chief in another 3 years -or is it 6? Not sure.

DGS2 was given a 'fire truck bed' on Saturday. DDIL#2 sent us a video of him 'washing' and polishing it. Gave dd the idea to look up a 'bunker set' (firemen's clothing) for him for Christmas. DDIL says he'll LOVE it and I'm sure he will -so that's what he's getting from the southern connection. He's every bit his father's son. :mrgreen: Getting it in a 3T so it'll fit for some time. Then he can pass it on to someone else -perhaps his soon to born nephew.

Hi everyone! Late start here, too. I met a dfriend for breakfast & it was wonderful to laugh & catch up with each other. I must get some things done this afternoon. Laundry in the hamper is overflowing, so I'll start there. Drag it all to the basement, sort, & start a load. I want to start updating our January 2015 calendar, too. Usually I do this on Dec 31st but there are misc appointment cards clipped all over the back of the calendar, & it has been nagging me that we may have doubled booked some things.

My old printer has been having problems & wasting my time. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I've tried several fixes I found online but after a few days it stops working again. The unreliability of it bugs me. Sam's has some for sale at good prices so I'll research reviews on those.

Christmas is coming! I want to write cards this week, & maybe even start this afternoon. I keep a bag of boxed cards & our list on the attic; I'll bring that down today. It will feel good to get those written, mailed, & off my mind.

Ramblin Rose, that video you posted yesterday about the woman who sent her husband to the grocery store was so funny :lol: ! I saw that she has several videos on utube so I'll be checking those out when I want a laugh. :)

Better get moving. Hope you all are having a wonderful day! Glad your internet is back, Lady M!

Feel better, Dee. Welcome back Lady M! Congratulations to Kathryn & Ken!

Picked up the part at auto store and took to rental house where DH was. He was clearing their dryer vent AGAIN. I don't know how they manage to get so much lint. She said her clothes weren't drying but we had cleared the vent just a few weeks ago. There is much work needing done over there. I'm not happy about it, this rental gives us lots of problems.

Got more paperwork done. Waiting for mail. Sent a letter & email. I still need to eat breakfast.

Our minister just called to give us our parts in the funeral. I'll do the scripture readings and dh and I are doing an anthem. Joy is the word that so many use to describe Kay. Prayer warrior is another. I've re-written a hymn from our newest book changing "I am a child of God" to "She was a child of God" since the verses include She was an endless prayer, and She was a song of joy. It is perfect for Kay. Not traditional for a funeral but a perfect tribute this blessed angel. Ds teared up last night when we told him of Kay's death. There was never a time she didn't ask after him and his sister, giggling at her memory of him tormenting his sister in church! She loved little ones so much.

I've run the dishwasher, washed up the hand dishes and dh has indicated he's ready to head out for a walk to the store.

I'm on the treadmill now, but it isn't in motion - I'm just using it as a standing desk!

Hello, villagers ~
I almost got the thread started this morning, but had a series of but firsts that had to be done before I could write anything here:
* feed cat
* dishes
* fixed/consumed breakfast and coffee
* replied to Email from DSis and another from df Z about plans for tomorrow
* washed my hair
* DPC to city hall to make appointment with the state auditors
* warm clothes, makeup, hair
* meeting with auditors to go over the library group's bank statements etc.
* put air in a front tire
* as long as I was out, stopped at the library to let the director know my part of the audit is complete
* had not planned to check out anything, but found the TSO DVD and 2 oh so pretty books of Christmas crafts/gifts which will be relaxing to look at, and less dangerous than getting sidetracked by internet links
* came home and called library group president to trade news
* cooked/consumed leftovers for lunch
And by now someone else has started the thread and the day is half over.

I stayed up late last night making sure all my paperwork was in order for the auditor. I was able to immediately hand over everything he requested -- yay me! *\o/* :) (Not bad for someone who isn't paid a penny to do the job.)

4 hours of sleep definitely not enough. Now I have hit a wall and need a nap before I try to do anything else.

When I get up, I'll figure out how to make DMIL's gift. I get to sew tonight! 8-) :D

We have switched homes but haven't finished moving.....we aren't even close to being done. Just guessing we have about 50% of stuff moved. We are moving 1-2 vehicle loads a day when time becomes available.

The electrician arrived at 7:30 this morning to do the repairs to Birthday house that was found when the house inspection was done. He worked 4 hours then had to leave to go to a job scheduled for this afternoon. He will return on Monday and finish. He will also run a new circuit for me which will add 2 electrical plugs along the wall I want to put the TV and also and a plug & light in the "Go closet".

The internet people arrived at 9:00 this morning at our old house and removed their antenna & indoor equipment. Then they followed me to the Birthday House and did the antenna installation on the roof and ran the connection through the attic. I am sooooooooooo glad to have internet access again!!!

While the internet people were doing their thing at our old home I filled the SUV with another load of stuff. It will need to be unloaded before I can pick LO up from school in 1.5 hours.

I made a huge pot of chicken & noodles for lunch. It turned out YUMmy

I'm frustrated because I just realized I didn't put Fitbit on this morning. Guessing I have done over 7K steps this morning. This is the first time I have sat down in 7 hours. Grumble grumble. If this is all I have to whine & grumble about then life is good!!! :)

Yeah for LadyM and Dee's son

Dove...once you start watching Jeanne Robertson's other videos you'll become addicted to her. I started at 9:30 pm watching another one of her videos after first seeing the one I posted and found myself saying...just one more, just one more and before I knew it it was 12:45 am.

Twin's...I thought that might be the program you are using. Funny, I am reading the new Harry Bosch book...he's a detective by the way...and he is working on a 22 year old cold case. In the story he is searching for information about a key player in the case by using his computer. While reading it occurred me that perhaps I could track down information about my 7thg-grandfather by using the same methods has Harry.

So now I need to check
* Land records
* Property records
* local newspaper articles
* his home address
* prior owners of his home and/or property

Thanks Harry...and Michael Connelly who is the author. Wish the search would be as easy as in the book....My only problem is 7th g-grandfather was born in 1786 :lol: :lol: :lol:
