I'm not COUPing either tonight. I am happily tired.

Made doggie cookies, then the chocolate raspberry cheese cake and then home made cranberry sauce to give as presents for tomorrow.

Kitchen is cleaned...I tend to do dishes as I go and there were a slew of them today. Also did tid-bits of laundry. All that is left is to wrap two xmas presents for Sweetie. They are his flannel shirts. Won't take but a moment to do.

Sweetie was kind to me tonight and said..you've been cooking all day, let go out and get a salad, so we headed for b urger King. They have good ones there.

Tomorrow morning I have just a few things to do before we leave for our family/friend's gathering. We do this every year and I always look forwards to it.

Off to watch a movie...think I'll iron my top sheets and pillow cases while we watch. I like sleeping in ironed sheets...it feels so good when you pull back the covers and slide in....

Hope y'all are enjoying your evening..... Nitters to y'all. I bet the reindeer are getting ready to make their long run in just a few days. Looking forwards to listening to the HO HO HO in the night air.

RR!! Bite your tongue!! The thought of moving again is ......is...... is........ well, I'm stunned & don't know what to say. I'm speechless with just the thought of another move. LOL

Our old home still does not have a contract on it. Several have said they want it and are working to get finances lined up. Our Realtor says "Buyers are Liars". I thought she was being a bit pestimistic the first time I heard her say it, but now I'm starting to understand. We had another developer look at the land a couple days ago. He didn't want to look inside the house so I assume he is planning to demolish the house if he buys the land.

Assembling the bags to give away tomorrow was a CHORE!. It is easy to do but it takes some doing. We filled sandwich size baggies with several different kinds of candy. We also filled 300 sandwich size baggies with mixed nuts. Then we took paper bags and filled them with a baggie of candy, a baggie of nuts, a large orange and an apple. DH and I did 75% of this chore by ourselves. Another couple came and helped during the last 2 hours of this effort. All the children in the church will receive one of these tomorrow. If we have any left after giving to the kids, we will offer them to adults.

I just took a peek at the family FB group posts. Looks like we are up to 26 family members that will be joining us for Christmas Breakfast at our home. There are several more that say they might come. I have started putting together a meal plan and shopping list. I hope to be able to go to town after church tomorrow and buy the bulk of the food......and maybe do some Christmas gift shopping.

Laughed at Lady M's #7.

There was a flyer in the mail on Wednesday advertising that there would be a company at a local hotel buying coins and used gold, etc. Got quite a few coins together, including a mint set of coins from 1967 (our centennial year in Canada). What a massive waste of time. FYI, the centennial set is only worth $10, even though it cost $30 to purchase in 1990. A victory nickel from 1945 is worth 5 cents. Yippee! (add sarcasm here)

We woke up extremely early( before 5 a.m.) Wayne went back to bed and slept until after when we wanted to be at our first store for the day. We finally got out there and did everything we needed to do. Now I just need to clean here.

Currently watching a football game. I'm not watching, but it's on. CUOPed here, made 2 green teas and still not motivated to actually get up and clean.

That's on tomorrow's l*I*S*T* Currently only one thing, not "5" yet.

Oh wow, Kathryn, I know this is not exactly the news you wanted for your uncle - hmmm. But yes, the comfort there through the winter would be good. I know it is mentally stimulating, but on the other hand all habit is lost and must be reformed, so that mentally there is good and bad. So sorry to hear about your sister and the troubles in her household. At this time of year it will be tough to be in that situation.

Harriet: it isn't really bad news except the possibility of him dying in his own home is now very slim. New goal for him, to die in his sleep. I'm glad he's somewhere he can get more help with the pain. At least I hope they can do that for him. I love him to bits but he just wants to die and I'm not wishing anything else of him. We've had our time with him, it is time he rejoins his wife.

I hope to get down to see him but it wouldn't surprise me that he'll die in the next few weeks, just slipping away. Living with my aunt's spirit in that house probably kept him alive because he would spend his evenings with her (he could still see her in her chair.) I suspect now that he can't see her across the room from him, he'll go downhill quickly.

Letting go seems to be very hard to do. I remember my dmil telling me that she wasn't doing it well. I asked her what, and she said dying. The moment she got morphine that took away the pain that had crept into her, she died. The pain was keeping her in this life since it was real and she was hanging onto it. Once it was gone, she crossed over.

I got the last of the cards done. Have packed away the rest. I have extras in case I've forgotten someone. The cards are in my church bag. The afternoon service is in another bag. Dh and I practiced both anthems. I've tidied up a little bit and we've packed up the humidifier to return on our way home. I also need bacon from Costco while I'm doing the return. I'm hoping by late afternoon it won't be crowded.

We have a 6:30 walk to view the lights organized so we'll have to grab a quick dinner from a fast food restaurant and then rush downtown. Just the guitar will be emptied from the car, and we'll change into warmer clothes.

So tomorrow we are out the door at 9 and home again around 5 and out the door as fast as we can and then home at 8. Wish me luck!!!
