HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MT! Hope you've enjoyed your day!
I didn't realize how late it was until I actually looked at the clock a few minutes ago. I spent most of the day puttering and got some weekly stuff done.
Yesterday dh and I took a ride to a train shop. Dh has his three trains packed up in their boxes - one for each of our dsons. He needed some track to put with the oldest train, the Lionel he got for Christmas when he was 13. His ddad had put it on layaway where he worked, but passed away in August. Dh's eldest dbro went and paid it off so he would have it for that Christmas. Anyway, he is now satisfied that all the trains have track so they can be used by dsons and dgsons.
Twins', I'm glad you were able to come home from jury duty and rest instead of having to sit there not feeling up to par. Hope you are completely better soon. Sorry for the loss of your duncle!
Lucy, I've been thinking of your dmom and you all day. Happy that she came through procedure well and hope she has an easy recovery.
Nancy, I hope the rain has stopped and your yard won't be slippy again tomorrow.
Oh, Twins', I know how you feel. I can keep up well enough with all the daily routine stuff, but when it comes to the bigger projects I sometimes feel overwhelmed at getting started, then have to rush if I have a deadline to meet. Either that or I just don't get started! And I don't feel I deserve to do special things I enjoy, so I don't always get to do any fun things either. ((hugs)).
Harriet, I liked your description of your dfriends perfect house. I'm sure it was beautiful.
I need to go get a pair of sox -- my feet are still cold even though I've been under the covers for a couple of hours! Sunday night the temp. is forecast to go down to 39*, the coldest so far this winter. We had rain all afternoon yesterday.

Re: TUESDAY TA-DA'S
Sunny, I have enjoyed hearing about the 3 train sets. I was especially touched to hear how your dh's db paid for the rest of it after their ddad had laid it away before his death. I am positive that your dsons will be thrilled to each have a train set from their ddad, to share and then hand down to their dsons. What a special gift, especially since they are receiving them now so their ddad can be the one giving them. Sunny I am so glad that you are feeling better.
Guess I better hit the bed. The carpet people are coming to measure tomorrow. We have decided to also put this carpet in our bedroom. We hope we have at least a week before they can install it. It is in stock, so that is why is may be sooner than later. Dd2 had had the stairway walls painted before we bought the house. The guy did a horrible job, you can see gouges, lumpy nail holes, etc. Dh wants to redo that before the new carpet is installed. I am just glad that we are finally making some progress that will make such a big difference.
