Struggling to get packed. Have finalized the packing list and now have to fight the urge to add 'one more thing'.

Things are just going into zip lock bags at this point, I'll do the final pack on Monday morning.

I'm here, I had to reset password earlier and got in on my cell phone, but didn't post. I'm on iPad now. I couldn't get here this am on my laptop and haven't had a chance to try since the morning.

Usual Saturday here: PT for Macs, napped, out w dh. I did get some stamping time too.

Need to start supper soon and take macs for a walk.

Kathryn, how do I change my password? I can't seem to locate it.

** Made chicken casserole for lunch

** Laid down with DGD3 so she would take a nap easily

** Laptop was slow so I did a reboot and there was a Microsoft update waiting to be applied. I found that a bit strange. I always do the Patch Tuesday updates so this is one they couldn't wait for 3 more days.

** visited with DDIL. She sent me a link of the house they have picked out.....if they move. *gulp* WOW. DDIL has had a market analysis done on the home they live in now and it is very favorable to them. DSon interview process continues with the last 2 interviews on Monday.

** Stayed outdoors while the kids played. Trimmed 6 more trees and hauled off the limbs. I haven't kept count how many trees I have trimmed and how many more I have to go. I think it would be best if I didn't know. I'm sure I have way more to go than I have completed. Maybe after I trim a few more I will count how many are left to trim.

** Spaghetti & meat sauce cooking now.

Doll nightgown is finished! Now I have to send the package off to daughter and granddaughter. A shawl I knitted for my daughter, matching nightgowns for granddaughter and doll, and a pair of doll sneakers I was unable to resist.

Made leftovers for supper, because neither of us was terribly hungry. Not worth cooking, plus the chicken in the refrigerator is not thawed yet. I will cook that tomorrow. Chicken pot pie, maybe.

Our supper was grilled chicken on Geo F orman grill, roasted asparagus and green salad. Sure was good. Dogs are snoring quietly, I expect that dh will be snoring soon.

I couldn't get in last night - Earlier than 1st posts today for you - and figures the Ks in C had their hands full.
It was the first online thing I did today, check that I could get in here. I went back to history from yesterday to get in too. Now if I type b the laptop gives me the rest, even if it does point me to the direction of my profile where I played with styles.
I used use a soft green one. Kathryn. I have an alt prosilver one at the moment with gray boarder and it seems a bit too intrusive atm. I'll check out the new ones again that you put on soon.

Last night I got to lights out by midnight. I need to slide that earlier so I can more easily be up about 7.

Outing last night. Listened to some old time speakers. Interesting to hear of their lives, and take on some of the origional old timers. There is hope for everyone! It might take 10 years to get the message and begin to change, but it is possible even so.
Some of their/ particularly his views today, well they are what they are, but as people they are well more able to fit into society without losing their jobs and families. Way into his 80s, the man is still working at an important job, something he wasn't doing in his 20s. He was good at showing grumble and pout as part of his story.
Please, if you have people in your life for whom it looks hopeless, say a prayer that one day they will meet someone who can tell them their story that resonates with the hopeless person's story, when they are desperate enough to listen. No one can prop them up until that time, and be helpful. The being desperate is an important part of the equation, imo.

Church today. Praying for lady who collapsed during the service. Marveling at the folk who tended her waiting for ambos. Unobtrusively. And the homily and comfirmation that happened all the while. She was able to be walked out. And Father to speak to her while waiting for the children to trail in from children's liturgy so she could go to the ambulance..
I had missed seeing my friend I normally sit with, and she was behind that person and a little part of the 'action. So then I was glad I'd sat in our usual spot.
On way to car, spoke to another lady who is having big surgery on Wednesday so prayers for her too.

Church feast day is in a couple of weeks with an old fashoned church picnic and games. Father says to pray for snow. after one day respite the heat is back.

I'm trying again to do the mindfulness thing. Eat breakfast (after church) while eating breakfast. Be on line while online. The tv can wait til it has my full attention. I was so in the moment after breakfast I washed up those few things! My aim tonight. To get to bed earlier. I have a 7 am train on Wednesday so I need move my bedtimes and needed evening activities earlier. Maybe mindfulness is the key there too.
Just begin.

Thanks again to Ken and Kathryn for all their hard work on the website.

Another difference, check for people who have posted after you started your reply. The posting of your reply is no longer 'hung up' to need resubmitting.
