Welcome home, Kathryn!!!

Sooo happy to hear the good news from Harriet & family! Anxious for you to actually get to hold that new baby!

(((BIG HUGS))) for the LadyM household -- glad the little ones are feeling better!

(((Nancy))) -- IKWYM -- I just feel I never have enough energy! I don't know if it is just laziness on my part, or my poor sleep habits, or my poor eating habits... probably a combination of all three!

Helia, yes, it takes a while to get yourself into the new routine of payroll schedules. Go easy on yourself.

Waving to Twins! Thanks for the good start to the day, and the very appropriate reminder.

Hope you have a great day, Dee, and a good visit with dsisil!

Here... the PODA includes
* probably * visit to court house to pick up check from dh's aunt's estate. She passed away last April and dbil finally has all her affairs settled.
* nursing home tonight w/ds, etc.
* probably * keep dgs afterwards while ds/ddil go out to eat -- dh doesn't want to go b/c of baseball game on tv
* should-do * laundry
* should-do * BWP -- vacuuming, etc.
Have already
* eaten breakfast
* taken phone call from pool table man

Oh -- last night at the auction... we made a whopping $200. :roll: But dh is satisfied -- this was almost all just housewares like vases, decorative bowls, just odds and ends of all types. There is no real money to be made in this, but dh is satisfied, and still says he MUCH prefers this method to the Saturday morning estate sale events that a lot of people have around here.

Well... I can do SOMETHING, right? Maybe if I FORCE myself to MOVE for 15 minutes, I can get a little activity going around here.
Tomorrow is another day.

I've had a lunch and put away a few more things, like the extra vitamins. We forgot our vitamins about 5 times on the cruise (some of that was days we were sick or in the air so didn't have a morning or evening routine.)

I've also put the plants back where they belong (I group them to make it easier for the person watering) and have swept up the dead leaves, dead-headed the Christ cactus and African Violets, and used the electric broom on the living room and hall.

Bit by bit, the apartment is looking better.

Dh is back. He just has a cold, no sign of pneumonia. His heart didn't sound right (this is a new family doctor for us) and so dh told him about his murmur and that explained what the doc was hearing. So I know he was listening closely, although with dh, sometimes, from my side of the bed, I can hear his valve clicking.

I'm declaring that I've earned a nap. Will see you all later!

So far my desk day has been a bust! I side-tracked off into some genealogy la la land (just picture me with Lucylee's Mr.) Then I realized that I had forgotten to get the religious school checks to the other congregation (first last Thursday, then forgot yesterday also) so I took them over there. Then I was just ahead of Kathryn in claiming a nap.....

So finally, getting started with some desk day...

I am setting a timer and working for 25 minutes, no peeking at ancestry.com. :o

Tonight dh and I are to go out to dinner with friends. I don't know what time dh has planned, but I think he will be home to pick me up.

Still working, I think I've actually earned a 20 minute break but I have some momentum so I'm going to keep going.

I have:
-registered and set up online access for bank accounts for dsis and gotten rid of the monthly "paper stmt" charge (not easy, took a long phone call to their customer service....)
-gotten rid of a lot of papers, don't know how many
-found the bd card I made for the guy we're seeing tonight
-reviewed and filed ds' return online
-paid a bill from our HSA

and will try to get in a couple more rounds. I will need to change clothes before we go out.

Took almost a 2 hour nap.

Am up and moving around again and making progress. I'm down to the little stuff (the extra amenity kits from the planes, refilling my toiletry kit, etc.)

We are on our way out for dinner tonight. No food here yet. Maybe tomorrow!

Back from dinner.

Still can't eat much at a time so brought 1/3 of my chicken breast home for lunch tomorrow.

We stopped into a grocery store and bought some fresh food. We now have eggs, milk, fresh veggies and fruit. Plus raisins for dh (he has them with his cereal each morning and missed them this morning.)

Groceries are put away. I've started one of the two clocks, the other one will be started in an hour.

I keep thinking it is Monday today. I got up on Easter morning and went to church; I got up again this morning, therefore it must be Monday!

Dh has his conference call tonight and then we'll be able to go to bed. He's been offered an interesting contract which he'll take if he can (we aren't sure he can because he is a Canadian citizen and this work for the US.) We discussed it at dinner and he sounds like he'd like the job and I know he'll be good at it (it is running a standards committee but he doesn't have to do any of the creative work, he just has to run the committee.)

Found some new to me shoes 2day blue suade clogs that looked like they had never been worn now I have a dress pr and every day pr. Both a bit diff. they are not identical. Wore em on a 1/2 mi. walk to break em in today. Jeans did not fit but I salvaged the fabric for accents and pickets for a tote to make of fabric I wove.

Weather is great here 2day. :mrgreen:
Knitting class was fun but I get antsy after 90 min.

I lost weight on a cruise (said nobody ever -until maybe Kathryn.)

Seemed like a long day but accomplished barely anything here. At least the update (recall) on the car is done and I went to the bank to put $$ in for our taxes. Hopefully we won't ever have another year that we end up owing that dear old uncle.

Have a good night and a great day tomorrow.

Can't wait to hear more news about our new board baby, Harriet -sure you wait as well.

In my back-and-forth swing from "I feel better!" to "I feel lousy", I am back to "I feel lousy". Don't know the why of this. Napped more today than other days. Not by choice.

Vitamins - I, too, got something done about that at least today. Stopped by the vitamin store and used a 20 percent coupon they had sent, so one thing done well. Bank errand, too. Dd drove.

Dd35 called and we enjoyed a long chat. Today was the day she gave presents to each on her team thanking for all the help on a big project, so she had a rewarding day. She reads so much it makes my head spin. Tells me she is now on 4th in a series of 6 of 1,000-page books. How? I could not do it, much less look forward to it. Those are novels but she's also reading Mindful Eating now and wants me to read it after her. She is truly a voracious reader, like her ddad.
