Re: Fabulous Friday Conga
In these days of early relationships in schools, I think you gals are very lucky your kids aren't into serious relationships. Everything happens too soon these days.
I have spent the morning doing office work, stuff generated by my audit yesterday. This stuff I do is really tough. Everything has to be perfect, I can't be even a few cents off with anything or it causes huge problems. And it's the same thing with time deadlines. I can't be late either. No wonder I'm stressed. It's been a huge responsibility to be so perfect with it all for all these years.
I'd wanted to go out and get a few things done but today is payroll and one helper leaves early on Fridays so I guess I'll wait until tomorrow for that stuff. I don't have much energy, but at least I'm not sick. bbl

Re: Fabulous Friday Conga
Spent an hour working on my desk. Not at my desk, but on my desk, going through the piles, looking for things to toss (still working on yesterday's theme since I'm not strong enough to Conga!) and reorganizing things slightly. I got the desk down to bare wood which meant it was time to give it a dusting.
After I did shredding, I sorted the chits to enter into Quicken. So the desk is covered once more but there's a bit of organization to it that wasn't there before.
I finally got dressed for the day and cleaned the kitchen, bedroom and office opening windows on the outside. The window cleaners are here today and the ropes are still hanging in front of the living room window but I believe the rest are done. The screen is on the outside so the opening part doesn't get cleaned by the window washer. OTOH, I can swing the window open enough to clean it myself (it pulls down towards me.)
Now the balcony windows look terribly dirty but I'm not strong enough to do those nor all the windows on the inside. In total I have twelve 5' x 6' (or larger) windows so cleaning them is a bit of work.
A slight sermon spark has come my way but I'm still not ready to try writing yet. So I think I'll pull up another episode of Downton Abbey and watch that while entering chits into Quicken.
(Ick - there's a man swinging from a rope looking in my window right now. It does make me feel uncomfortable even though I know he's supposed to be there.)

Eek!! A man swinging from a rope looking in your window would be scary. Scary for him being up so high as well, but he probably doesn't mind heights or he would have chosen different work.

Re: Fabulous Friday Conga
Good morning all! I have fixed a query and checked it in, so time for a break. Obviously, I am at payroll.
Last night was Girls' Night Out, and DD13 had ALREADY COMPLETED HER HOMEWORK!!! Showing off the homework took some time, so there was not as much time for us to do stuff, but we ate dinner and planned the vacation times for the summer. After that, I delivered an auction item to the animal org auction queen. I spent way too much time talking to her and did not get to the pharmacy until it had been closed 15 minutes.
Today, I must call my friend about the hike tomorrow. Tonight I will run home, start a LOL, head to Bunco at church, go to the pharmacy, then back home to dry LOL (and probably start another). Sometime, I need to call the church to see if they have re-upped our subscription to the webhost, then drop the other webhost I tried and did not have the knowledge to make work. There's probably other stuff I need to get done, as well.\
Back to report queries! (Gosh, it's nice to be working again).

Was going to work on temple f/s now but the bookkeeper hasn't posted the deposits from earlier this week yet. I emailed her to ck - I told her I don't want her to drop other work and put this first, but that if she's going to do it today, I'll hold up on the statement.
I got meds and dog food for ddogs. Dishwasher repair person is due between 3 and 5 so I am going to nap now. The lymph nodes in my neck feel achy too. I took ibuprofen for my head so really can't tell if I would be feverish otherwise.

Just about to leave for college town -- spring football game & baseball game, and lots of rain possible...
So excited for Harriet's dd and the prom... can't wait to read the article about strapless dresses. My prom dress was NOT strapless, btw.

Dh got out of his meeting early and phoned to ask if I'd ride with him in the car so he could pick up something from a store that has no parking. So I met him at the front door and went for a car ride. Found street parking but sat in the car so we didn't have to pay. I picked up the mail on the way up from the car so that's another to-do item done.
Am listening to The Planets (by Holst) right now. Broody music but there's a movement I want to hear. I jumped ahead based on an article on wikipedia and appeared to have been misled.
I have just a few more chits to enter in Quicken but these are foreign amounts so I need to be online to see the C$ amounts.
Love this quote from the engineering of strapless dresses article:

Love this quote from the engineering of strapless dresses article:
There are several reasons why the properties discussed in this paper have never been determined. For one, there is a scarcity of these beams for experimental investigation. Many females have been asked to volunteer for experiments along these lines in the interest of science, but unfortunately, no cooperation was encountered. There is also the difficulty of the investigator having the strength of mind to ascertain purely the scientific facts. Meanwhile, trial and error and shrewd guesses will have to be used by the engineer in the design of strapless evening gowns until thorough investigations can be made.
