Coming back through after my productive trip out. I took my time at Tarjay and looked at a lot of pretty things and was able to get the few groceries I need right now. Then went on and got to pedicure appt a little early and got a nice pedicure. I even remembered to take flip flops to wear after! I went to Lowes after and got two ferns - both were 50% off. One isn't a nice as I thought - the front side is good but back is thin, but I'll get it going better. Got my basil plants and forgot to get another tomato plant.

I still have pansies out that are on their last leg. I need to get geraniums and replace the pansies but that may wait until next week. The weather is cool enough for most of the rest of the week that they may not be too bedraggled looking.

I finished a.m. routine except for walking, and my trip through Target and Lowes got me almost to my modest goal.

Now I need to straighten things up and put away, and start on our back patio clean up. There's still plenty of pollen but I can't do everything on Friday.

DS13 is finished with his homeschool. DD10 is now using the homeschool computer to do her assignments.

DD10 will receive an automatic zero on all public-school assignments while on suspension. I don't think this will affect her much but in the worst case might bring some of her A's to a B grade. This is a lull time since state testing is still going on in the building. DD10 finished her state tests but the other grades haven't. The admin does all they can to reduce noise and commotion in the building during the tests. The kids who are not testing stay all day in one room (instead of switching hourly) and watch movies and other quiet activities.

Back from a non existing meeting,
2nd time this week I have been the only one there the other except the leader one was a diff. meeting
might be time to rethink stuff...

Awe (((Nancy))) the meeting planner/coordinator needs to get their act together. I'm sorry this happened to you. I'm glad the library drop off made the trip have purpose.

DD10 consequence of writing 1000 times is starting to develop a humorous side. When trying to decide her consequence DH and I discussed what we had to do when we got into trouble at school. We both remember having to write these types of things. DD10 asked "So I will remember writing this when I am 65 years old?" Yup. I suspect so. DD10 has a smile on her face as she started to refer to it as her 65-year-old memory maker. She has finished the first 400 lines.

Both kids are done with homeschool assignments for the day. DD10 is singing a song as she is playing an educational game online about the Oregon Trail.

I've napped a little and coughed a lot...

Doctor said very likely began as a virus, something like dgd has maybe, or maybe allergy, but had developed into a bacterial infection, he felt; so he could give me antibiotics -- Zpack -- and he also gave me some cough syrup w/codeine, and a steroid shot.
I do not feel much better at all right now, but I am hopeful that by morning I will be feeling some improvement from this shot, at least.

DGD stayed home again today. DDIL says maybe she will be able to return to school tomorrow.

I've been working on the screened porch. I'll leave more to do tomorrow because the sun is getting out there and it will be nicer to work out there in the a.m. I found the blower in the garage and blew the debris from the bird nest building on the front porch. I think the yard people will be tomorrow or Friday and will do it again, but I'd like to see if they've given up yet. The ledge over our front windows is too narrow for a nest, but they are nonetheless trying to build and then it all falls off onto the porch.

I need to start my list for tomorrow.

Dh has a friend coming over after dinner for a whiskey and maybe a fire.

I hope the meds kick in soon for you Lucylee! Miserable! I've been stirring up pollen outside and coughing.

I have vacuumed the liv. rm.

When getting ready to vacuum got an idea for some art to go on planner pages when I saw my art books!
I am still glad I went to the church for the meeting I wrote out my prayer in the jeep before going in, part of our assignment,
and sat quietly for 10 min. prayed and got out of the house and all that distraction so it was still good for me to go.

vacuum bedrooms. 2 done.
forgot to get the crock pot going so will put that stuff in the oven in a bit.

I mowed the front and back yard.
Dinner finished cooking while I did that.

LOL... a brave thing for me -- and anyone else in this world would think it was the silliest thing ever to be NERVOUS about doing this:

I ordered tickets for dmom and me to attend a Decorators' Showhouse on Mother's Day!

This takes bravery because --
1. Y'all know how I am about planning things and anticipating obligations for myself.
2. Y'all know how I am about travel anxiety with anyone except dh.
3. This will require about 2 hours drive time for me, on a Sunday afternoon when I am usually sleep deprived anyway.

BUT... this is a very beautiful mansion and it was supposed to be shown in 2020. I wanted to see inside it sooo bad! Every time we travel to College Town (or anywhere in that direction, basically), we see it. So, Covid shut down the event two years ago, and it back on now.
DH was thrilled for me to go, as long as it didn't involve him, and I just kept thinking -- I may have a panic attack, but I'll feel lots worse if I miss out on it again, this time because I'm such an anxiety basket-case.
So. I'm going to try to surprise dmom. I've only told her that I have an event in mind, and it will involve some walking but nothing too strenuous.

Feel better, Ramblin'! I love to watch a mystery. Perry is great, also the traditional Sherlock Holmes ones of all stripes, and sometimes BBC ones, old and new (Agatha).

I spent the day at dd42's house from 9 until 5. I wont be needed there again until Friday afternoon. Each of the 3 older boys seemed to have frustrations today, and mostly with each other. Oh well. They are usually chill.

Tomorrow I go with HRH to a morning appt. I have a book to read. Today youngest dgs and I read together just leaving each other alone, which is rather grown up of him. He feels so sorry for me, though, with no pictures and so many pages. Lol.

The watering system here is doing reasonably well. I have only a few watering can responsibilities. But the soaker hose from ARiver is certainly older and more feeble than the one from new stock at home imp store. Live and learn. Sometimes you really do well to get to hold an item in your own hands before buying.

Twins', that's pretty impressive you have kept your pansies still hanging on and trying at this time of year.
