Today I did A LOT of errands AND I had to be home for company by 2. (Before I did the following dh and I went out to vote and grabbed breakfast at a drive-thru.) Dropped off some donations at a local thrift store. Filled my gas tank. (UGH!) Costco for dh. Two local grocery stores to stock up the pantry. Then 2 banks to pay the bills for the month. I got the groceries all put away in time for company. Made spaghetti and sauce after they left. Watched provincial election results. Although I despise the local candidate based on his personal beliefs re: women's bodies, I wanted the leader of the party to win, which he did. Now that the leader of the party won by a landslide, I can go to bed.

Well, looks like you've all been busy and off-line a lot today. Only on page one and it's after 9:00 pm here.

I don't know if this counts as much for Ta-das, but I've been busy most of the day...
* car tags -- got caught in an absolute frog-strangler flood! Guard at the court house gave me a garbage bag to wear as a poncho to go back to the car.
* post office
* stopped to get dmom a salad
* Wmart for dmom -- thank goodness the rain stopped by then
* dmom's house -- rain started again
* Next Town for lunch -- greasy hamburgers for dh & dgs, comfort food from Chick-Fil-A for me
* nap

Blessed, my ONE ta-da that I Must Do for today is to iron two more pair of jeans for dh. We are still planning to be in Atlanta for a couple nights next week. Dh is still not feeling quite up to par, and said I need to call doctor tomorrow and ask for another round of antibiotics for him... and of course, I am concerned about leaving dmom -- but it IS only for two days and ds/ddil will be in town.

Had a long talk with dbro on phone just now, then went to get supper for dgs and me. He is spending another night with us so ds & ddil can rest a bit in the midst of caring for dgd. She is alternating Tylenol & Motrin every two hours. Surgery (tonsillectomy) went well.

Hope Lord M has a better night's sleep tonight! (((HUGS))) for all the older/younger generation care. IKWYM! It's about a 15 mile round trip for me to go to dmom's. I'm sure I'll be doing a lot of that in the next week or so. Her neighbors called me a little while ago, couldn't get her on the phone. Part of the Wmart errand today was to get her a new cordless phone... I don't know what the problem with it is; I tried calling myself on it before I left and it worked. Maybe she just didn't hear it ring. :roll: :?
That reminds me, I must call my daunts and let them know dmom is home. My goodness. I am just not thinking clearly these last few days.

Hope you all stay safe! Is this the storm that started in the Pacific, Rose?

So excited for the y'all with the new baby, Dee!!! Dmom would tell you there is certainly a reason they are called "great."
* What kind of dog is Biscuit? I know you've told us, but I've forgotten. :oops:

Nancy, do you still discard your journals regularly? How long do you usually keep them. (I am still mulling over keep/toss... I don't look at mine after I put them away, but I hate to toss them.)

(((Twins))) Just (((HUGS))).
Tomorrow is another day.

Hey, all! Hoped I’d have a ta-da to report, but it got reneged. Our refrigerator died yesterday? late the day before? it all runs together. Anyway, I spent the day searching online for someone who might have a refrigerator available for delivery ASAP. Then when DH and I went out, we thought we’d found one — ordered it, even — only to discover once we were home and checking out the space that it is too big to get in the door. By less than an inch, but too big is too big — our brick house doesn’t stretch. *sigh* So we had to cancel the order. We’ll have to go out looking again (with the correct measurements) and order something to be delivered in a few weeks. At the moment, my old dorm fridge seems to be working. (knock wood) We’ve got dairy in there, and what cold cuts we didn’t throw out. Produce will have to take its chances and last however long it lasts without a fridge.

Glad your dgd’s tonsillectomy went well, lucylee.

Sounds like there is much travel to be done by SHEs in the next week — we will be, too. We’re heading out on Wednesday to the annual game convention. On the list for tomorrow — check out our air mattress (because it appears that the hotel sold us a room for quad occupancy that likely does not contain a sleeper sofa to go with the king bed :x ) and see just where DD stands with her summer job. She has been waiting to hear back from them — they said last year that they’d be happy to have her back, but she says they haven’t accepted her application, and the job is supposed to start Wednesday. I suspect that she glossed over something in something she received.

Packing it in — hopefully, I’ll get here at a more reasonable hour tomorrow. Sweet dreams!

I am checking in safe after the storm.

Currently going through journals and planners now.
Some guided ones I have kept from the last few years the pandemic phase I am calling it.
Kept them for now.

I am gleaning prompts from the guided happy planners.
There are like 13 full ones and I need to get some of the discs off to reuse for this years ones.
So I am purging unused calendars that are out dated some I do not like the style of so no need to keep for notes.
I have notes pages blank for that.

I was pretty good at tossing em then h passed and the pandemic hit.
So I keep em back 3 years for the most part normally, then discard.

The happy planner ones I re-use the covers and disc. as I get notes pages and they seem to fill up pretty fast.
One for goals will be what I do maybe for one book July.
I his a snag on journaling as I am revamping my planning and stuck on what to write about goals,
that is slow for me only one page a day butter than none I guess.

Thinking what my summer routines were and what I want them to be.
Like go to the farmers mkt. but it was tonight and there was a lighten storm so doubt anyone showed up for that.
I need to look up where they moved that one to. Walking earlier needs to be considered as well.
more gardening less running around with fuel prices.
