Did the call ahead seating and called about delivery of chairs that we ordered awhile back. That will be Tuesday afternoon.
I need to clear counters - still have things to put away from grocery shopping - and spend some genealogy time.

I have been working in the basement while the cleaning angels are blessing all my home (except for dd Youngers room as we still have stuff in their to put away, the basement which has had my, both dd's extras and special cloths. I am looking at vinyl flooring for the basement as the rug absorbs so much moisture. we have had a wall to wall rug (replaced twice) in the basement and I think the moisture in the rug is not good for us.
so far: bagged up all of dd orders shoes and put them in her room for her to figure out.
pulled all of dd Youngers and my washables (dd younger has a lot and I am going to minimize her cloths again to just 10-15 items
pulled all the things that need to be sent to the cleaners as the cats had a jolly time making them hairy and dirty.
I really have to make some tough decisions re: dd Youngers sweaters - she would keep everything. I can't handle the amount of her stuff anymore.
I love her deeply but I think I have to limit her stuff as it is overwhelming me and she comes home only 2 - 3 times a year.
pulled dd older's things that need cleaning - I will let her figure out which ones she wants to keep - she has about 7 nice dresses. Her shoes are an issue.

what's next: after the cleaning angels leave then I will bring up the bag of dirty cloths and start washing them. As I go through things I will make decisions for me and for dd younger.

praying that my brain behaves and lets me finish the job. (not perfectly and not everything). it's giving me peace already even though it is just the beginning of this project.

I haven't thought too deeply about Christmas as the yard is my focus right now. I did buy a white elephant - https://www.signals.com/HAR882.html it's $20 more than the family spends but I find it is better just to pick out something multiple people would like.

Blessed, I love the door mat!
We had an unusual night last night. I wasn't in bed yet, and it was very late; DH was asleep. All of a sudden there was a BOOM! in the back yard and at the same instant all our electricity went out. I got my flashlight out and went back and woke DH and told him what happened, yes he heard the BOOM!
Called the electric company and reported it. Since I must have been the first one reporting, they thought maybe it was just our house. They tried to connect to our "smart" electric meter and were unable. So the guy told us to go out and turn off the main breaker out by the meter and turn it back on again. DH and I went out back with our flashlights and instantly came across 3 odd pieces of something on the grass he thought was insulators from the transformer on the pole in the back. Those pieces were very hot.
So, we did not mess with the shut off at the meter but came back in and I called them again. This time I got a message that the problem was on the main line and shut off electric to 10 houses. I talked with a representative to tell him about the pieces of stuff in the yard that we found, which he noted on his computer. Inside, we had candles going so I stayed up to monitor those and in about another hour all the lights came back on.
Our fireman neighbor came home this morning (was on 24 hr duty) and he looked at our pole with DH and noted the damaged insulator up there. We left our gates open for the power company and put our pieces in a bucket right in the middle where they could find it. They still haven't come. This needs to be fixed, I wonder how safe it is like this?
DH and I both had dr. appointments today. Mine in the morning, his this afternoon. I have some ointments and lotion / potions ordered from the pharmacy. Maybe I'll get a handle on these rashes and itches. DH had a procedure and I re-bandaged the place she worked on. Waiting on biopsy now.
I worked on 2 closets today, moving stuff from one to the other and some the other way. Making more room in the one I use. The other had unused shelves. I got the bin for donations back into the house and put some things in it. Next time I'm in town I'll take it to donate.
It was hot here today. I'm grateful for working A/C in the car and house.
