I had to lay down for an hour w feet up-now ready to work again :D
went out and weeded under the umbrella and now taking a break bc the dogs were getting hot. I figure a half and hour will do them good. dogs are laying in front of the fan and closing their eyes - we have only been in the house for 10 minutes.

I think if I am smart I will stop the outside work except for watering the pots. I usually fertilize the pots on Monday but I have decided that Wednesday will be okay. If I want my home to not fall apart, then it is best to do house routines.

I found out the sealer for the new driveway will be put on this Friday.
I have 100 bricks that have to be moved - thinking that will be a morning job. I will have to brake the job into one carriage full at a time or toss them on the grass for another day.

Goal - God willing - for tomorrow
phone calls
bills
continue weeding by the corn.
remove bricks throughout the day.

WTG! EVERYONE.

I spent the morning outside with dd. She's been cleaning out dh's shed. I spent the entire AM sorting small screws, washers, nails, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, -you get the picture. We cleaned off all the shelves in the front right of the shed and it's mucho better! DD made a few trips to the dumpster with some unknown (unuseable) stuff. Tomorrow we'll try to tackle it again.

I'm going to do dishes now so at least under my fingernails will be clean again. Also going to wash my hair. DD's taking DBiscuit for a swim and taking a shower. Then we're headed for A ldi's, $ T ree, and B ig L ots. All right in a row, same plaza. Have to think about dinner. It needs to be something simple.

Home from VBS. I need a mental & physical break while rehydrating. I am craving a few minutes of being still & quiet. The noise level of VBS is loud and the interaction with little ones is non-stop continuous.

I am splitting my time at VBS working in the nursery (babies to 2 year old) and with the 3 & 4 year old class. There is an autistic 4 year old boy that responds well to me. They come to get me from the nursery when he needs some extra attention and guidance. He and I have always had a connection and he will listen and calm down for me.

My 66 year old body is feeling the constant lifting and holding of toddlers. 20+ lbs lifted up, 20+ lbs carried here & there, 20+ lbs gently lifted down. Repeat dozens of times. Also, we are doing concrete handprint molds for each of the toddlers which require lots of time bent over at the hip. It is a good workout for sure!

I am serving a super simple lunch for family = Tamales from a can, pickle loaf sandwiches and/or leftovers.
I will make a BGS for myself after I rest for a few minutes.

Got the dishes done and washed my hair. DD is supposed to come get me to go shopping soon, but I think I'm staying right here with dh. Don't want to leave him alone for sure.

Hello Hello Hello I'm Back! (DH and I still call out "Honey, I'm home" when we come in the door). That's how I felt today when I was able to come here.

Harriet, maybe we could take our machines that haven't been working properly and give them swimming lessons? DH and his helper used to threaten to throw their old tools which quit working into the nearby canal. (Of course they never did that because the fish don't like it, but they threatened.) I have a hard drive and a printer I'd like to deep six right now.

Computer went to the computer gal because I couldn't get it to load our user names, it was in a loop of 'not going there, not going there'. She said cheapest and best solution was a new hard drive. Yes, she could have fixed the old one...but this was cheaper and quicker and it is an older refurbished computer anyway...so what we have now is basically a new computer. Updated PAST the ability to get Windows OR the copier/printer/fax manufacturer to provide a new driver. Too scared to try a generic one...so after a day & a half of work, we were

Off to the places which sell all the expensive electronics...3 stops and back again to the 2nd and came home with a spiffy little printer/copier/fax to use. Just got it installed and I must download a product manual because we have a lot of questions...but at least it prints out and the computer recognizes it (YAY) and now I can finish my 2nd quarter reports and print them out. I was dead in the water not able to do that.

It's 98° here now and DH and I have been having wars over the thermostat. He raises it 1 degree, and I lower it 1 degree again. This time I complained to him, told him this past Thursday I went to the Dermatologist and I am now using 2 ointments and 1 medicated powder to clear up my skin, and sweat is a no-no. I think I am allergic to ME! Or something. But so far this treatment is working and I am becoming comfortable in my own skin again, for the first time in months.

Ok, well lots of work to do here so off I go to do reports and use my new little printer. It sure better pay for itself and do what it's told!

Well, dh wasn't gone all that long. Came back & right into the recliner. Then he became nauseous and cold We have two blankets over him. DD did a Covid test on him which came back negative. BUT, she looked the next road over and friends who are top-notch ambulance personnel came over with her. Their supposition is that he has an infection and is running a low-grade fever. Even took his BP which was elevated somewhat. Their advice for right now as long as he's "peeing" ok with no side problems to take T ylenol every 5 1/2 hours and stay ahead of the fever if he can. Said if he went to ER they probably wouldn't do anything right now anyway. So it's wait and see. They had a hard time getting his BP as he's shaking so much. Here's hoping I don't 'catch' it, whatever "IT" is. Dh just doesn't get sick like this. Bad week for him to be sick as far as work goes. The mother of one worker passed away and they had another one quit at the end of last week. Means there's just dh and one other guy. Not enough, especially on 4th of July week for sure!
