Happy Anniversary to Lord and LadyM!!
Not much going on today. Went to the lawyers and signed some paperwork. No customers for dh today. A neighbour dropped off a "butter cake" which he made. It looked and tasted like a massive sugar cookie. SO good. This man and his wife are Dutch. Now THAT is the kind of neighbour/customer that we don't mind seeing pull into our driveway.
I picked up a chicken from a local grocery store along with a container of potato salad and a baguette for supper. We had some of the butter cake for dessert. Much too hot to cook here today.

finished paper work -The small basket looks back to normal
what a weight off my shoulders
the visual clutter is gone from the kitchen and from the laundry room
the garage still looks good.
put new insurance card in my wallet - next put one into the car visor
next write a get well card.

Love this saying! I do love reading about subjects that are interesting to SHE friends. I might not understand it but I always learn something.float your boat
Thank you for the Anniversary wishes! We enjoyed our date immensely and the kids were fine. We went to a movie theatre in a city we don't go to often. I think we found a gem. It was clean, low cost, not many people and had great A/C! We were the only people watching Top Gun. I saw maybe a dozen people preparing to watch one of the other 5 movies. I don't like crowds, so this is my type of movie theatre.
At 6pm it is 112F. I'm waiting for it to cool down so I can go play outside.
Stay curious. Challenge assumptions. Success loves persistence.

So glad anniversary celebration went well! We enjoyed that movie, too, LadyM. We don't see nearly as many movies as we used to, but we did make it to that one, and we both enjoyed it.
112... and you are talking about real temperature, not heat index, right? My goodness. Sending (((HUGS))) but aren't you glad they are CYBER hugs? I know you don't want anyone touching you in this heat, LOL!!!
We are under a heat advisory, and it is "only" 78 here right now. 85% humidity, but surprisingly, it did not feel so miserable at the ballgame as it has at some of our others. The high today was supposed to be 88. Low tonight is 74, and then tomorrow it starts climbing back into the mid 90s.
Well, if you looked at my J&C post, I have a JOY for today: Dmom is HOME! She was sooo glad to be back on her own in her own home.
Tomorrow, the home health nurse is supposed to call and set a time to come do an evaluation. Dmom is really doing well. I don't think she will let them come for long. Maybe a week or two, but dmom was already talking about getting up and going to buy her car tags tomorrow morning!
I told her she didn't need to do that if they were expected to call, plus she might not feel quite as energetic as she thought she would by morning.
I have now renewed her car tags online and that chore is taken care of!
Other ta-das -- activated dmom's new credit cards, went to dgd's ballgame, helped dh get towel laundry started.
Also, not my ta-da, but ds & ddil got my new-to-me Apple watch synced with my phone and added the pedometer app to it.
I'm not completely as happy with it as I was the FitBit, but it may work out okay. The problem is, I think have to open the pedometer app on the watch to get it to update. The fitbit automatically showed actual steps WHILE I was still walking. However... if it makes them happy to give me their hand-me-downs, and it saves me $150+... I guess I'll try to get used to this.
Might see if I can find a sleep tracker app and add it also, and MAYBE I can find a charging schedule that allows me to use the sleep tracker.
Does anyone have an iPhone sleep tracker app you would recommend?
Sooo glad your dental appt went well, Twins! I definitely KWYM. I gag very easily too, and I hate hate HATE having molds made for crowns. I dread it sooo much. Fortunately, they don't use the metal trays anymore for this at my dentist, so it wasn't quite as much in my mouth as it used to be, and I learned if I played games on my phone, I could keep my mind occupied while it set. I still hated it. Ugh. (((CYBER HUGS))) for you too!
I'm just going to wave to everyone -- I'm 3 pages behind here... maybe life can settle down a LITTLE bit now.
