Noise chatter- I don't like noise machines either. They annoy me and I do anything to get away from their sounds. My mind doesn't stop thinking at night unless I have something to focus on. I listen to DRamsey podcast or turn a repeat show on the kindle. I normally fall asleep within 5 minutes.

Lunch was excellent. The food and company were highly enjoyable. I normally don't eat much wheat products but freshly made Indian Tacos is one of the exceptions.

Homeschool is done for the day.

It is after 1pm and I haven't finished the daily routines that I normally have done before 7am. This laptop having tantrums is making me think of putting it in a box and mailing it to LucyLee. I think she has the right idea of how to take care of it.

I have defrosted my large chest freezer using my method of banging the flat side of a metal meat tenderizer against the larger chunks of ice until all the ice chunks fall to the bottom of the chest freezer. Then I toss as much of the ice out the door onto the driveway as possible. I can't reach the ice "dust" so it can stay where it lands as there is very little of it. I took out the 3 bags of meat and emptied them of as much of the flying ice as I could get out. Now I can go back out there and do an inventory.

I also moved some piles around in the library so the cross stitch patterns are all in one spot and the other paperwork is in another spot.

My computer is having an issue with the "d" key. If there are times that I haven't used a d when referring to dh, that would be the reason. He's always very dear to me.

Cathy, you can use alcohol to quickly clean and wipe out a freezer. It will freeze if you leave it too long, tho.

It is 4:30pm and I have finally finished my AM routine. Some days are like that. On the positive side, I have completed 81 SHE cards today so I haven't been slacking too much.

I will be leaving in 30 minutes. Tonight's meal with the church family is Pulled Pork sandwiches, salad, chips, and ice cream. Later I will keep the littles in the nursery.

:D :D :D HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO MR. & MRS. TWINS!!! How sweet of dd & ds to send flowers! They sound beautiful.
This laptop having tantrums is making me think of putting it in a box and mailing it to LucyLee. I think she has the right idea of how to take care of it.

Yep, LadyM... sometimes that's all you can do! (Well, actually, I'd probably put it in the trash, or since that's not environmentally safe, I'd put it in a closet or the outside storage room, where it would wait till dh was ready for a trip to the dump... which I realize as I'm typing that, is the exact same thing as putting it in the trash! Maybe that is why I have... let me see... a monitor, desktop, two speakers, and at least one hard drive sitting in the closet right beside me at this point. Sigh.)

Good news here -- dermatologist is totally unconcerned about the spots I had him look at. Two moles, a dark spot and something else that may be a kind of wart (?) but he said none of them were suspicious looking in any way.

Additional good news -- ds IS going with us to the ballgame Saturday. This is such good news for dh & me (& the dgrands). He will help with the driving of course, but we do enjoy his company so much, and don't get a lot of chances to go to College Town with him anymore. DDIl does not want to go -- understandable, I would think, less than a week after tonsillectomy.

With 81 cards done, no, I'd say you have NOT been slacking, LadyM!

We are not having adult Bible study tonight, since the pastor is our leader and she has Covid. I guess ds will take the dgrands; children's activities are continuing, I believe.

I like the IDEA of sound machines, but in practice, I found they somewhat annoyed me also. I absolutely LOVE the sound of natural rain when I'm trying to sleep.

Dee, that sounds like good news, that Mr. Dee is losing that much fluid. He should feel much better all around. I know dh here sometimes didn't realize he was retaining fluid so much, until he got to the doctor's office (when they were checking him every other week) and sometimes they would give him an IV with Lasix while he was there.

I cannot deal with a 5x7 tonight... I am very sleepy after the afternoon in Next Town and eating at Chick-Fil-A. * Peach milkshakes are only available for a limited time! Have to get them when I can! *
I do absolutely have to get my clothes together for the weekend tonight. I think dh wants to get our stuff packed up before tomorrow's activity begins.
I may do a 15-min declutter in the dgrands' room and finish vacuuming there, but I'm making no promises...
Tomorrow is another day.
