Re: Ta Da Tally Tuesday PWYC
I haven't been able to be here as I have been running errands - I do not like shopping but things had to be done.
I did buy Christmas stamps
Instead of making soup and salad today, I stopped by Olive Garden for a soup and salad dinner for dd older/myself and just soup for dh. I am hoping to work outside the remainder of daylight. I might make zucchini prosciutto goat cheese bites - all depending on the time.
hardware store - bird food as we are out
Costco renewal for dd younger - it's the only thing I pay for. - last year she paid it and this year I thought I would do that for her. bought myself smoked salmon. I also bought ribbon for the house.
I had a few other errands
tomorrow: hope to finish grocery shopping for the rest of the week.

Homeschool is done for the day and DS14 has left for work.
I have low energy today and feel like I could easily curl up and block out the world. I am 90% sure this desire to hide comes from being behind & overwhelmed. I know from experience if I force myself to accomplish something then that will motivate me to keep going.

Re: Ta Da Tally Tuesday PWYC
Just do a little, LadyM. It's ok to be overwhelmed and not everything has to be done today, or even this week. Just chip away at it and take care of yourself along the way.
bw2, you reminded me to remind my dh to order Hanukkah stamps. He sends out cards from his office - I can't remember whether they have a Hanukkah card and a Christmas card or send a Happy Holidays card to all, but he likes Hanukkah stamps for his Jewish clients. Last year he drove around to post offices trying to find some in December and couldn't find them. Hopefully he'll order them now.
bw2? zucchini prosciutto goat cheese bites? Yum!
Kathryn, thanks for the kudos for self care. Here I am beating myself that I'm not walking regularly. I'm telling myself when I turn this project in, in five weeks, I'll have a lot more time.

Re: Ta Da Tally Tuesday PWYC
I am feeling better. Once I got started then I just kept going.
** About a dozen empty plastic tubs/totes gathered & organized in the garage. I have a place to store them but it requires 2 people so I'll wait until someone is here to help.
** Over a dozen decisions made resulting in things put into the 'give away' bag. Once each decision is made, then it is final. No more asking myself if I should continue to keep it JUST IN CASE there is ever a need for it. Note to self....Don't be a hoarder. Let it go and it may be a blessing to someone else.
** Beet seedlings transplanted into the garden.
** Rosemary cuttings taken and brought into to see if they will root in water.
** About a dozen tomatoes harvested. There are ???hundreds?? of cherry size tomatoes on the vines ready to be harvested. Those are one of the many to-do's that need my focus.
** Made a hamburger/potato/onion/cheese casserole on the stovetop in cast iron skillet then slid the skillet into the air fryer to finish cooking.
** Got hold of the hospital scheduling and was able to move my infusion therapy appt from 2pm to 11am. Now DH can go with me tomorrow and we will be back in time to get DD11 from school. We need dog food and those 55lb bags are almost more than I can lift into/out of the shopping cart. DH doesn't struggle lifting that weight so he will be appreciated for his muscles as well as his companionship.

Re: Ta Da Tally Tuesday PWYC
I'm late coming in today.
Was up normal time and got my routines done. Then helped Sweetie with some of his desk concerns. Did a trip to Wally world, came home and put most everything away. Its raining here so I made soup for our lunch and Sweetie said it was a perfect day for it.
The temps are suppose to drop tonight to the low 60's and I can't wait for that. Will open the windows if its cool enough before I go to sleep. Spent a good amount of time on my glider today. I've had it for well over 15 years and I'm sure it has over 10K miles on it. I keep it well oiled and its been making noises.
Oiled it again, but couldn't stop the noise. Sweetie finally figured it out and came up with a plan to fix it. Now I'll be to watch my morning news and drink my coffee while I'm on it. Need to keep my hinnie moving.
Just realized its time for me to fix dinner...
Happy anniversary to Lucylee and her DH.

Re: Ta Da Tally Tuesday PWYC
Happy Anniversary, lucylee and dh!
HRH wanted my attention to grocery list as soon as I got up this a.m. He was in a mood to get some errands done.
We were so cold last night that I "slept cold" and really didn't feel well in the night - lost some sleep. I felt like my throat was uncomfortable but today it's fine.
Tonight and tomorrow night we have freeze warnings. I am glad I got some pictures of the garden beds yesterday. Mostly I want to document how the different plants are doing at the end of their chances, so I'll see how large things finally grow and whether they were planted with enough space this year, what's crowding what, etc.
If we could just slide past these two cold nights, we warm up considerably for the foreseeable. But I imagine it's too much to ask.
I watched violet-baby growing-on videos and think I know what I'm doing. At least I can see that it's not time yet to think of pots.
And also had probably better take my various indoor plants away from the windows tonight and keep them from a big surprise temp change or a suddenly cold window.
blessed reminds me, time for stamp shopping.

Re: Ta Da Tally Tuesday PWYC
Happy Anniversary Lucylee and DH. I hope he is feeling well enough to go do something fun today.
Slow quiet day here. DH was out weeding and I don't ever help with that so I sat at my desk and worked on my study. I really enjoyed that. I miss my QT's during the mornings.
After a while I did go outside and I gathered both piles of leaves and dirt from on the back porch into the wheelbarrow. Then I got the big pile of stuff beside the fence at the side. I had gathered it there from the other side of the fence. We will have to work on that part of the fence at some point, there is a couple sections damaged / missing but it was hard to walk in back because of all the twigs, limbs, so that is gone now. Not a pleasant job, the pile was full of those fire ants. I got it all to the rubble pile out front for pickup, and kept brushing off the ants as I felt them. Yuck.
Nap again. Such a luxury. We had rain part of the afternoon. A cold front is coming through and it will be in the 60's or lower at night and mid 70's in the afternoon. When we're working outside for a while now it will be pleasant not to be in scorching sun.
I have a letter to answer. Mail is slow. The sorting center for our mail here is south of us and I'm thinking maybe it was damaged because my cousin tells me my last letter was postmarked in St. Petersburg. So the mail is slightly disrupted but at least we still get delivery every day. Many people are still without internet. Our land line still just goes beep beep beep beep. I'm surprised we have internet because it's from that same company. A couple of the bigger internet companies have been getting a lot of bad press. I feel bad for the people who work from home. Some are complaining they are not able to work and make money now. My last trip to the supermarket was better than before but still many empty shelves but for the first time there were rotisserie chickens.
