(Blessed) I'm glad your DH has made some progress. Sorry he is upset. Remember, you cannot fix everybody's problems, so try not to feel bad that you can't. Just your caring is enough. By the way, how are you feeling?
Thinking of Dee and wondering how she is coping, trying to take care of her DH.
Kathryn, hope they get your bike situation straightened out. What is wrong with people when they don't listen to perfectly good suggestions?
Did y'all realize that this has been Friday the 13th? DH came by to tell me that. We're not superstitious, and we both thought we had a pretty good day. So he was amused to discover the date.
I went to my class this morning. We'd had a big rain just before I had to leave and it was sprinkling when I got there. The wind has been more than we've had in a while. I guess it was the tail end of the system that went through the south. Glad that's all we got from it. And I'm glad all of you are safe. Wow, picturing all the snow up in Canada. I don't miss that!
Got a few things at the store on the way home. We made soft tacos for dinner tonight. DH cooked the meat for me and warmed the tacos. When I quit cooking so much when my mouth was so sore, and I quit eating much... after I began cooking again he started to help me now and then. Often it is not much help because he is not adept in the kitchen. But I appreciate the effort, even though I don't understand what he is thinking. He's never done this in the kitchen before.
I put a few more things away from Christmas. Made some more tags and bookmarkers from the cards. This time I put them in a nice box and up on the shelf they went till next year. I threw away the ones I'll never use. Even though they're pretty, I can't write on them, too dark or too glittery. So, it's a little thing but nice to get them organized. Getting things organized makes me happy.
Got an important package in the mail. Been waiting for it. I don't have to worry now. Who was it that wondered if a package might have gone missing since mail that fit in the box was left at the door but with no package....
Time for bed. I should try to get to bed earlier also. I wouldn't have to nap in the afternoon if I did.

Re: PWYC Friday Edition
Had a visit from the young man, who hung out a while. He is not really transparent, but we know he is close to popping the question to dd24. They have an anniversary of their first date coming up and I wouldn't be surprised... ..
Dd24 did call today, but not about that. She was chatting about work stuff and various adulting. She's going to drop by on Monday.
HRH made a big pot of spaghetti with more veggies than ever in the sauce. He is putting spinach in lately.
We enjoyed an episode of Death in Paradise.
Just a huge "harvest" of sprouts this time. Could hardly get it all in the usual fridge container, so I'm set for a while.
blessed, with the doctor coming to tell him good news, maybe that will give him the incentive to put up with all this. Hoping dd feels better.

Re: PWYC Friday Edition
So excited for Harriet & family... now we're all waiting to see what will happen with the young couple...
And blessed, Dee, and Kathryn -- you are all sooo much in my thoughts and in my heart these days. Praying for better news and healing with your dh's and rest and calm for you ladies.
Y'all, I'm just posting late here to tell y'all you need to give me some nudges tomorrow. My Christmas tree is STILL up, with lights and everything.
All the other decorations are in various places --
(1) dining room table, china cabinet, and bay window ledges
(2) recliner in den
(3) love seat in den
(4) fireplace hearth in den
(5) bookcase in den
I am just overwhelmed and exhausted thinking about it. I know I should FIRST, get the boxes out; and SECOND, commit to 15 minutes, or 1 area to take care of... but I just can't get going on it. So maybe some encouragement or just a big kick in the pants from some of you will get me started -- if you even see me online tomorrow.
I'm not really even tired of the tree itself, but I haven't turned the lights on since Monday, I think.
It's just that I feel like I can't do anything else till CHRISTMAS is DONE. That new planner I bought has weekly focus areas. So far I have missed * clean out pantry and * deep clean refrigerator. Next week I will miss * deep clean freezer -- if I don't get this stuff DONE. Alternately, I'd like to be trying to get back into my focus zones that we use here. But I'm just held hostage by Christmas decorations...
And dh is NO help at all...
Me: I need to wash those dishes that are in the sink.
DH: Why? There's only a pan and one bowl.
Sigh. Of course, I'm sooo thankful that he is not like my ddad and always finding some chore that needs doing by me, or by him with my help.
DGD will be here till 4:00 pm, then we will go to dgs' ballgame.
Waving to everyone!!! Hope you all have a good Saturday, filled with good news, good people, and good moments.

YES, Harmony -- YES. I WANT sooo badly to have things organized and under control... but then I ACT so LAZY.Getting things organized makes me happy.
