I'm reading and nodding... yes, yes, yes...
Group hug or a big old cry-fest? I could go for either.
Yes. Yes.
Complain away, Harmony -you're right there are many here of us who are up to our necks and that 'straw' is ever waiting.
Yes. Yes.
RRose, I'm impressed how well you've made your new community your home.
YES! You are so inspiring!
Kathryn, glad you didn't get stuck in the hospital last night.
VERY GLAD to see that post last night!

Can't completely cuop but I also saw where Twins was having a crazy day with the painters and d?h underfoot earlier...

My goodness!
Here -- it's been hectic because dh decided to order Braves tickets for summer, which involved phone calls to ds, ddil, hotel, and multiple websites. One we had to order from the Braves, one from st&bh&b... parking passes... One day trip for all six of us, one over-night for just dh and me...
And in the meantime I get a message to confirm gyno appt tomorrow... and yes, I'm going, even though I am coughing, because it takes too long to get an appt with them and I need rxs renewed... do I have to keep putting my feet up in those stirrups forever? Till I die??? Do you EVER age out of the gyno office???
And I get a credit card message "is this you?" Duh. Yes. To say we're spending like drunken sailors over here is an insult to sailors...
And then I tried to order from B*elk and they don't deliver 3 of my 4 items to the post office so THAT'S a hassle too... another phone call... oh wait, there it is, while I'm on hold, I FINALLY see where I can add a gift card to my order... shaking my head... lady was very nice to me though, so that was good.
And then ds sends third revision of dgs' baseball schedule, still no word from dgd's coaches re: schedule...

I don't even have time to think about possibility of overnight church camp for dgs! It still makes me nervous, b/c I don't want him to be disappointed, but I'm thinking more and more, it may not even happen... getting 5 sets of parents on board for a single weekend will be difficult. I think she will need at least three chaperones, and one should be a man. So -- I'm not going to think about that now.

The good news is, dh here feels better and wants to go out and eat, so I'm going to go do a little more to my face.
BBL. I hope.
Tomorrow is another day.

My Doc said it was not needed after 65 years old with many previous years of negative tests & not multiple partners.

I found a partially used jar of miracle whip in our pantry. I am 99% sure it came from the store. YUCK.

My head is spinning with all the continual interactions with DGS25, DS14, DD11 and DH. I admit to considering hiding in the bathroom to get some peace and quiet.... but experience has proven that it would only result in them standing outside the bathroom door and continuing to talk.

It is gloomy out but I have had a good day despite that it feels like winter again outside here now.
Walked ddog around the block only.
Got the rest of the food prepped to go in the freezer.
Put that in the freezer.
Did shelves with out nails! filmed it.

A funny I thought Easter was this weekend.
So I got extra eggs to devil, cookies for treats, and was surprised when I double checked the calendar.
So froze up the cookies. The Cadberry eggs I wanted were out of stock already.

I looked for plants today but not much is avalible here except potted up tulips not in the colors or type I wanted.

I took a chance in planting early and I might be replanting. It is supposed to reach 27F tonight. EEeek! I have put 5-gallon buckets over the tomato & pepper plants that are already in the ground. I carried the other plants indoors. The cold weather plants (onions, garlic, brussel sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, collard, radishes, Swiss chard) should be fine because they can take some freezing weather. If the tomato & pepper plants survive tonight temps then they should be okay. The next 10 day forecast shows warmer weather.

Supper was family night cheeseburgers (1/2 price) for everyone except me. I chose to get a diet lemonade drink.

I was reading with dgs6 after my dinner but before his and he had a meltdown because his dinner was ready before the chapter was finished. He didn't want to go eat cuz he wasn't hungry. (He's so skinny is is frightening.)

Dd doesn't want me to be in the car with the kids until I have two negative tests. I don't want to waste tests, I wasn't planning to take the kids until 10 days are up. I tested yesterday and was still clearly positive. Ds tested negative today (he needs 2 to return to work.) On the other hand, I do want to take the kids to the farm to see the animals after school on Friday. It sounds like a fun activity to do.

She and dgs6 were exposed to me in the car hours before I tested positive and didn't get sick. Why would she require a negative test 10 days later when the CDC, the UK, and our local health unit all say that I don't need to consider myself sick any more? I actually said that if she was looking for an excuse to keep herself and children isolated from the world that she wouldn't find it in any of the sources I had for her.

Tests used to be easy to get and ds thinks he probably has 250 still. On the other hand, used up at least 40 in the past two weeks and since they have to test in order to go back to work and no longer get paid for missed shifts while isolating, they need to have lots of tests on hand. I'll try and remember to ask for them when I'm out. The government website assures me that they are available still.

Another day where I’ve barely made time to run through and wave. And not because I’ve been productive, either. I did get a pedicure with a friend, which I am very grateful for. Praying for health for all of you and your families. Hope to spend more time with you soon.

Thank you for kind remarks, everybody.

I sometimes wonder what is God trying to teach me.

DH fell in the office late afternoon. I heard a big clatter and noise and got up and went in there to find him kneeling at the rolling office chair. He raises it up to its highest to sit at the desk. I use it at its lowest. Every night I raise it up and put the cushion in it for him in the morning. During the day I don't do that... we'd been in here together when the big blow-up happened and I wasn't figuring he'd be back again to use it. There isn't room to sit both office chairs at this spot. Our office furniture is that modular stuff and the computer and monitor is on the corner piece and behind us is a peninsula which sticks out. Very nice configuration, but doesn't leave room for 2 chairs in this spot.

Anyway, I didn't say anything, but went in back of the chair and held it from rolling as he used it to support himself to stand up. I raised it up and he was able to sit down in it for a bit. Later he came out but was using the rolley walker. Sat in his recliner for a bit and finally went off to bed. He's just come back out and said he can't lay in the bed even with a pillow under his knee. So he'll probably sleep in his recliner tonight. I'd made him some dinner the first time he was out there and gave him a pain reliever and a gel ice pack to use for a while. Knee is swollen.

In May when he fell in the laundry room he hurt his knee and it took weeks to get back to his normal level of pain. How is he going to finish this job now?

I have told him NO MORE. I have told him I can't keep doing this stuff with his work. I have said no to him. But he knows if he asks (tells) me to do something that I know he can't do, I will eventually do it because I can't let us get into financial and legal trouble. He KNOWS this will happen, so any restrictions I put out there get ignored. I'm not afraid of him, he's not that type, but I have a hard time doing things that seem unkind. As I push back, he pushes harder, gets more stubborn. He's really struggling to accept the changes in his life, his inability to work, etc. and I get the hard part of that. Yesterday I heard him tell someone on the phone that this will have to be his last job. But I really don't think he believes it.

Life is complicated right now. I can't seem to keep up with it all. I just found out I messed up our small group schedule, even though I went by what I had written down. I missed our last meeting of this year. :(

Lucylee, I gave up Gyno appointments years ago, somewhere in my 60's. Just because I got tired of the whole thing. The GP I had before this last one said something about her doing paps but I let that pass and she never asked again. This GP I have now never mentions it. I've had all good reports but one years and years ago and that was fixed. So, unless I get pregnant, I'm done!
