Re: Tuesday Ta Da!
Back from my ballroom dancing class and had a blast. Relearned how to do the Fox Trot. I took ballroom classes in 8th grade. I think most kids I went to school with did as well. Was amazed at how many steps I remembered. Came home and showed Sweetie...he never dances with me...and as I demonstrated the steps he remembered as well. He took the same classes from the same woman when he was in 8th grade. I think over the years Mrs Lois must have taught the entire town. I had a blast! went with my gf and we learned the girl's part. We practiced with our instructor, a woman, who did the male part of the dance. There were three women and once couple. Plus I got over 2K steps in an hour. Best fun I've had for $4 bucks in a long time!
Came home and ate my lunch. I want to pick up a few things from the grocery store and will do that as soon as I finish here.
LadyM...Hope your house is in recovery mode.
Waving to ya'll...Got to get moving so my day doesn't get away from me

I need to make some notes on the presentation - Harriet, it's far easier to talk about something you're totally into - and this fits the bill! I mainly need to refresh my memory on what the judges said and think through what I would do differently, and any tips I have...
Going to have a snack, then go workout at 2.
Ugh, strong T storms this afternoon and torrential rains.
I've earned some genealogy time later.
So I've bagged a decent list of ta-das so far....

Re: Tuesday Ta Da!
There goes RRose trotting by! Such fun!
And you're so blessed to be able to dance. So many people up there in age have trouble even walking. Thinking of Harriet's relative with broken knee cap. This will make a difference in her life for a long time I fear.
LadyM, I see many here in long pants and long sleeves. There's a construction site a few blocks away with signs about clothes required, long pants, sleeves, hard hats, steel toes, yikes I can't imagine. That attire does keep chemicals, dirt, sun off the skin. Now I'm picturing Arabians out in their hot desert in those long robes and flowing tunic hats...I suppose they're keeping blowing sand off, but the heat, my goodness. Hope you feel better. Twins too. I've had the hip thing happen after a swivel. Especially after getting up and down.
Cathy, we need 3 of those hoses. DH had to experience that annoyance of not having good hoses when we were trying to do the painting, cleaning the wall first... but he's not making any moves to do anything about it. I'm still spending time in the loo also.
Blessed, sure hope the procedure helps DH.
Nancy, don't dogs have the best life (if they have a good owner)! Nap whenever they want, wherever they want.
Lucylee, that link didn't work. I tried putting it in directly and server not found. But I've seen lots of OTC solutions for ringing ears - never thought any of them would work. The scary thing is I've seen a report that the ringing does damage to our memories. Geepers I hope not.
I've brought all my spreadsheets up to date. May all done, June done to date. That's all I have to say ta da so far today.

Oh, I’m sorry, Harmony! I guess you could just search the name or Phlage Labs, or something, but it’s a shot in the dark either way.
I’ve got to get going around here. It’s almost 1:00 pm and I’ve done NOTHING.

Re: Tuesday Ta Da!
Made some progress looking for paper work, went through a drawer tossed some un-kneeded papers. Did not find what I was hunting up. Poo. Thinking where I saw it last. -sigh~
I need to find the special place so I do not loose this! LOL!
Got part of what I needed so that is progress however small at least in the right direction.
Put away the drawer of the stuff so it is not out that is great.
-----
Had Lunch
They are going to come and look at the roof and deck for the quote this afternoon before 4:00.
We have had showers so not sure if that effects the roof activities but 15 more min. till the end of that window and I'm still waiting.
Table is better.
I will vacuum I have time for that.*
----
They have come no numbers yet. Roof is more like 20 yrs old. but underwood looks good on the roof.
New deck needed. dgson has opening in his schedule next week.
I dug out the plants I wanted to save, & got em moved.
Another round of plant removal happened got em planted & watered too.
Working on clearing off the deck and the carport will be tomorrow.
A bit at a time and it will be easier.

Re: Tuesday Ta Da!
There’s a reason for long sleeves and pants on workers …the cotton clothes keeps the sun off, but more importantly as workers sweat, their apparel soaks up the water and wet garments are suppose to keep you cooler.
In the desert this is certainly true because the dry heat makes the water off of what you’re wearing evaporate causing a cooling effect. When I was working with the horses we routinely soaked ourselves with the hose. You actually get cold until the material dries out and then you head for the hose again.
In the past, the Native Americans would soak their blankets in water to get them wet, then they would wrap it around their bodies so they would stay cool as they slept. Mother Earths natural a/c.
It difficult to imagine until you’ve experienced how cold you get with this type of evaporation. I could only last about 15 minutes in my pool before I got so cold I had to get out and sit on the side of the pool till I got hot again

Re: Tuesday Ta Da!
That doesn’t work quite as well in high humidity, does it, Rose?
We have canceled our plans for tomorrow— we have a very busy weekend (Saturday-Tuesday, really) and dh is afraid if he pushes himself to do a long trip tomorrow, he won’t feel like going to ds’ show Saturday or the Braves game Monday. He thinks I’m disappointed, but I’m not. I’ve already seen Graceland anyway.

Re: Tuesday Ta Da!
I had a deadline in mind for getting the island and some other hot spots cleared off. I am thrilled that I am ahead of schedule right now. I wrote some things down to get done on Wednesday, and it's only Tuesday!! YAY!!
Now I want to clear the bathroom counter, but I'll do that after dh does his meds tonight.

Re: Tuesday Ta Da!
Quick check in before bed.
Busy day here, dgs2 and ds arrived at 7:15. I was in the shower (planned) and so he played with his dad and dh until I was dressed, at which point he came running when he heard my voice. But no hugs and only a few cuddles through the day. Today, Buppa was #1. He followed him around and he had a long, long, hug just before lunch. Long enough that I could think, "How cute." Then think "I should get a picture of this." Then pull out my phone, open it up, find the camera app and take the picture. And it lasted for a while after that!
We played outside a bit, we played inside a lot, we walked (him in stroller) to the grocery store, we blew bubbles on the balcony, we raced cars on the balcony, we built Duplo on the balcony, we introduced him to the autoharp, he played the piano and he napped. The one thing he didn't do all day was eat. He had a little bit of cereal and a piece of bacon for breakfast, he had 1.5oz of yogurt for lunch, he had a half-cup of goldfish crackers for snack and two bites of noodles (made after he didn't eat any of his dinner at all). He also didn't want half a glass of milk after nap (the usual.)
So we expect we'll be up in the night with him. He was upset because his parents were here when we got back from the store and he thought he was going to have to go home with them. They just cooked our dinner and then after we all ate they went home. TG's shift starts at 6 tomorrow which is why he's here. We'll drop him to her at the hospital at 2 if he has woken from his nap by then. We may skip nap entirely if we can get away with it and he can sleep on the way home with her.
I've off to bed shortly. I also managed to make a bubble mixture recipe and refill my vitamin containers after he went to bed. Tomorrow is the landlord's lunch BBQ so that's why we may miss out on him getting his nap. I hate to mess with his wonderful sleep routine here, but he loves visiting with people here so that will be a fun activity for him. I'm also thinking of taking him to the small airport to watch planes take off and land. He's really into planes right now.
