checking items off my OMM list.
** Yearly checkup appts with family doctor made for DS14, DD12 and me.
** Researched where to get HPV vaccine. Doing it at the family doctor wasn't a possibility. We must go to the health clinic to get it. I called for an appt but was told it was walk-in only. They do it on first come first serve basis. Depending on how many people are there it could be quick or long wait. I talked to both kids this morning about HPV. Since the vaccine could affect their body negatively, I wanted them to have a say in the decision. DS14 said he wanted to get it. DD12 didn't care one way or another. From what I read online, if we get the first shot before DS14 turns 15 (on Saturday) then he only needs 2 shots. If we wait to get the first shot after he turns 15 then he needs 3 shots. So, this just became a priority to get done this week.

I have gone to the thrift store and come back with an "empty" car. Empty of donations. There are some other things in it and they will be going to the Craft Guild tomorrow. I donated a pair of grey pants from the pile on the dresser. I quickly tried on everything from the pile-of-pants before I went.

Re: Wednesday 2 Aug PWYC
I need to dig out spent tom plants after I water the earth around them when it cools off this evening. Done.
I have taken a bit of down time and rested that was needed.
Did not nap the past couple of days so that is a sign I am doing better at taking care of me and not so tired midday.
The patio area still looks good glad for that.
I worked on kit. spiff and that is great to see later in the day as well.
Made myself a good lunch.
Hydrated.
Dd had good news.
Dgson is going back to college to finish up some things and do a bit more schooling good to hear that.
Did some dusting.
Doing the 2-5 min game what can I do in that time.
poof..I did a few like three so that's three less for later on. Yea!

Re: Wednesday 2 Aug PWYC
I was working upstairs and the dog is driving me crazy barking at me. I think she wants me to go outside with her. I'll do that after I eat. She's been walked and fed and I'm frustrated that I can't use these evenings that dh is out. Same thing happened last night. k
I think I got Quickbooks set up. Once I got the old file loaded I found it had upgraded it to a $100 month plan - probably what the CPA neighbor had - so I had to call and get them to walk me though downgrading the plan. It's now $320 a year, which I paid in advance and will get reimbursed for.
Sounds like dh is home. Maybe he will distract the ddog long enough for me to eat.

Re: Wednesday 2 Aug PWYC
Alive here, reasonably happy here, dgs2 is still here.
Ds texted at 8:30 that they had just finished loading the car and were heading home. That means they had struck camp on the island, loaded the inflatable boat with their gear and towed it back as they kayaked back to the mainland and then handled the 1/3 mile portage back to the car. Apparently storms are coming in and in that area hail was a possibility so they left tonight rather than tomorrow.
Which means dgs will be picked up tomorrow morning instead of tomorrow afternoon. Unless they end up sleeping in tomorrow....
That's fine with me. He'll be back on Saturday so it isn't as if I'll have time to miss him!
Things are really backing up here. I read emails but don't action them so:
1. Quicken still needs to be renewed (which I dealt with over a week ago and then again on the weekend but apparently they aren't taking my credit card, it just keeps refreshing and asking for my credit card after I enter it and it says "processing".)
2. A new minister has been found for the church. That will mean some work for me (along with other work that didn't get done while I was away.)
3. A ton of events for the residents' group have been proposed. I need to start tracking those and getting word out.

Re: Wednesday 2 Aug PWYC
I thought of our village chat when I was up at 5:00 with HRH reminding him he had not administered his eye drops (he has 4 morning, 4 night). I ended up doing that for him. At 5:00 a.m. his favorite church program (study, I guess) comes on and he was watching that, and it was somewhat compelling, so I stayed up and did his eyedrops for him. (I save money, he says, because I do not waste drops like he does without good eyesight to see how many drops are dropping.)
Fine for him to start a day by 5, because it does sometimes happen. NOT for me. I went back to bed, couldn't rest well because I'd been too alert and in lighted room, I think. Then overslept. When I awakened, I noticed I could easily reach the phone and intercom-ed him at his desk. Lol! Not wise - he was messaging with a cousin. Oh well. He came and laid down with me and we watched an old episode he'd found of something like outer limits or other old show with original commercials (people come down from the sky into a car for Hertz - remember that?).
Happily, when I emerged into the household, lo and behold, HRH had done a bunch of housework while I slept, so yay for that extremely romantic moment - he had mopped, be still my heart.
All day we watched to see if some extended family was coming as hinted. Not.
Just an odd day. I did a good bit of laundry and made tacos tonight.
Nancy, yes, great when we hear a young man is making it a priority to get the education he would like. A benefit that will last.
blessed, just don't go racing in that thing. Try to restrain your inner speedster.
