We had BBQed chicken that I parboiled. We also had baked on the bbq potatoes that were wrapped in foil. I always put chives from the garden and sour cream and butter on mine. Dh went to the store to get sour cream and came home with a small spinach salad for himself, knowing I wouldn't want any. We had a bit of ice cream for dessert with this morning's rhubarb on it. (I cooked the rhubarb with some water and a tiny bit of sugar and I tossed in a strawberry from the garden as well.)

There was a tornado warning for Kathryn's area again. I haven't heard anything to update yet.

thank you for the hello!

tomorrow is a dr. appointment to check my broken bone! keeping fingers crossed that I am still going in the right direction :D It still hurts at times but I feel better bc I am moving forward - I was able to pull all my green onions yesterday. I washed them well and dh took them to the food pantry today! I also was able to give him some peppers for the pantry as well. (it thrills him to be the donator than the grower :D )

waving to all of you!!!!!

My theme is keep on swimming and Boy oh boy " I am opening up my card file again". Following the routine list has not been exciting lately and a loose focus a few routines down. ;)

hope you all have a great evening!!!!

The school lunch is the easiest part of the transition. Our small school only has 1 lunchroom that feeds all 14 grades (Prek, K, 1st through 12th). They keep it organized and moving like a well-oiled machine. Every part of the lunch is well monitored by admin, teachers and support staff. Before I left the school today, I went to the admin building and paid $100 in DD12 lunch account so I know it good to go for a few weeks.

I am nervous as a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs, but I am ignoring my feelings and planning DS14 dream birthday celebration. He wants to go to an official dirt bike trail and spend hours riding with friends. I have been texting with the track & trail owner and parents to verify everything is available on Saturday. I didn't want us to load all the bikes and kids up and make the drive without knowing for sure. The boys could care less that they will be riding a heat producing machine for hours when the temps are over 107F. I personally think they are nuts....but reminding myself that I am ignoring my feelings. It takes over 45 minutes to ride a lap around the trail so I will only see DS14 once an hour for the 2 seconds as he zooms past. The trail is flat as a pancake so there isn't a place to go up high to watch. I feel like an overprotective neurotic parent. Reminding myself that thousands of kids do this without a problem. Reminding myself that I am ignoring my feelings about dirt bike racing.
