Computer and banking

That should take me till dinner…

Thinking of Lucylee and her mom.

Back home from massage therapist and body work. I didn't realize how bad my back and hip felt until I laid down on the table. I'm seeing him again on Monday afternoon. I feel like it's deferred maintenance. I had an appointment the week of August 13 that I had to cancel because of COVID, and I had another the week of 27th that had to be cancelled because of COVID, so here I am.

I didn't finish kitchen clean up this a.m. so I'll do just a very little and get the brisket into the oven. I'm thinking I can do it all at the same time by covering pans tightly with foil so they aren't so tall.

Before that I need to write a cemetery check and put in the mail, hoping I can get there before it runs today.

(((Lucylee and Mom)))

I got the walk in. It was misting when I left (despite what the radar said) and I kept on going and it never actually rained. Note to self, it is now a 14 minute walk to the post office (it used to be 21 but they moved.) I managed to keep going at speed so averaged 19:46 per mile. Of course that's only over 1.6 miles. I averaged 22:59 per mile over the 5.55 miles yesterday.

My timer just went off, time to step away from the computer and do some tidying, someone is coming over in an hour.

Skippable rant... Back from the knitting group "that isn't fun anymore" as stated by numerous women this morning. Myself included. A "newer" member (she's been a member for at least 3 or 4 years) has decided that she is going to make a "welcome letter" so all new members know what our craft guild is all about. She has gone overboard in the opinion of numerous ladies in the group and it came to a head this morning. Every week she wants to talk about who is doing what at the bazaar, etc. Numerous women told her to stop talking about it every. single. week. That we will talk about it in October when the bazaar gets closer. After she left for an appointment, a lot of women stated they don't like coming any more and it's because of this one woman.

In other news... now I have a headache. As much as I would like to go lay down, I want to be "available" when the couch is delivered.

Sorry cathy. One bad apple spoils the bushel.

(Lucylee) and DMom. Hope all goes well there.

Elizabeth, Interesting information about outdoor cat colonies. I wonder if they miss Ramsey? I know indoor pets mourn the loss of their playmates.

Kathryn, too bad that program didn't work out for you. I know this, we can set up whatever system we want to try, be it computer or pen and paper... and NONE of them work if we don't pay attention and use it!

I have a perfectly good focus calendar I made for that, color coded and worded; all I have to do is open my desk hutch door and there it is and I know exactly where I'm supposed to be working. When I did that for about a year, I really liked it and things got caught up and a lot cleaner. Then the hurricane happened. I did a lot of heavy jobs, cleaning out the gutters, etc. cleaning windows and screens, and I haven't looked at the calendar since. After hurricane repair was over I began doing other projects, painting outside and then decluttering in earnest inside. So... progress is progress, however we make that happen.

I finished this week's study this morning. I know it's not supposed to take 2 hours every day, but the way I do it it does. I had a dictionary, a concordance, and 3 versions out to fill in my workbook. We are studying something that had been nagging on my mind for a couple years and I am glad to finally get it clarified. I needed solid confirmation to believe what I know to be true and I am getting that.

DH is out doing his yard chores. We had planned to go to the beach and I don't know if he will have enough energy when he comes back in...but if he does we will go to the little local beach. Right now I'm going to clean out my email box.

LadyM, BWTG getting all that food done. How many people were you cooking for?

SMH got info. but it was from last year ~ had to call and they did not get it either ...
so they are trying to track it down from the lab. I do not want to be stuck again.
So odd that they did not receive it from june / july just before the 4th. At least I
was able to talk to someone about that. So some progress made.
I am sure I'm not the 1st person that this has happened to.

Dug out some weeds.
Got sheets off the bed and down stairs ready to go in for the next load.
I have the sheets in the wash now.

I may have hit the wall. I don't have much left after my workout. Before the workout, I lollygagged around enough that I was rushing to get the brisket into the oven to get out the door, and didn't have time to clean up.

So I'm not sure I can get up right now. I may be stuck to this kitchen stool. I think I'm setting an alarm and perhaps napping for 30 min.

Cathy, it's a shame when a newcomer doesn't mesh with an existing group.
