What a quiet day in PWYC-land. Harriet must have diverted everyone over to Decluttering!
Earlier I managed to get HOA bills paid and the month of June reconciled. I have all the bills packaged with the bank statement ready to file. I worked out at two p.m., then went to post office (checked HOA mailbox) and mailed a bill. I picked up CPAP equipment and then dropped off HOA reimbursements to the social committee, the pool chair person, and the teen that cleans the bathrooms et al at the pool weekly during the season.
I have the chicken thighs marinating and need to fire up the grill.
Also, BIG news! My case study/article has come up and will be published in the September issue of the National Genealogical Society Quarterly. I'll need to be "present" to answer questions and I just indicated a couple of limitations, but I will make it work! I'm so excited about this, my article has been in their inventory since last November so I'll thrilled it will be published soon.
Dh is bowling tonight, chicken is on the grill! I'll make myself a grilled chicken salad for my supper
Bsweet, you are getting so much done! My compliments!
Tomorrow I only have the PT/OT appointment in the a.m.at 11 a.m. Of course, they want me there aet 10;40 for paperwork, etc.

Dh had a fairly good appointment. We both thought dh had lost weight. He has gained 9 pounds!
Even though his t shirts are looser than they used to be and he seems to have more energy.
We had soup and grilled cheese for supper. Neither one of us wanted or needed more than that.

Arrrgghhh!!! I'm definitely having a don't bother cleaning the floor kind of day! While I was sweeping the patio, the broom handle snapped in half! Then I started washing the master bedroom floor, and the bleepin' handle broke off inside where the mop head attaches!!
Everything else on the list is done, at least., plus I folded and put away a load of laundry.
I ran into a lady in my facebook gardening group who is wanting rhubarb. Yayyyyy!! We brought one small plant from Mum's when she went into long term care, split it in two, and now have two massive plants that are four feet high by four feet wide!! There's no way we could ever use that much rhubarb! We're going to dig up one of them and split it and give it away in the fall.
I'm not sure that I want to do any more stuff today, except for some sewing or crocheting this evening with a good TV show... perhaps something on BritBox.
Congratulations on having your article published, Twins'!!!

Good evening! Congratulations on the article, Twins!
We ended up cleaning off the top of our fridge merely by coincidence. (Actually, DH stood on a milk crate and did the cleaning; I stood on the ground and fetched/handed things.) DH noticed that a former banana was dripping down the side of our fridge. Clearly we need to find a new place to put bananas when we get them. This fridge is too tall to easily see the top.
Tonight was book club. My Sci-Fi hating friend was not converted by The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. She was still frightened of the aliens, and British humor isn’t quite her style. Next book is Trevor Noah’s “Born a Crime.”
I am partway through making a grocery list. I think we will have to do a quick run tomorrow for ingredients for the 4th of July potluck, and do the big grocery run on Friday.
If I don’t peek in again until after, let me wish you a Happy 4th now! I hope our Canadians enjoyed Canada Day. Sweet dreams, everybody!

Re: Tuesday the Second Ta dah PWYC
I’m a day behind with decluttering but I cleaned out refrigerator today. Threw out 3 partial boxes of Neapolitan ice cream. Every birthday, we have to have this — tradition started with dh’s mom, who once called it “metropolitan” and now that is what we call it. But the flavors are not eaten equally, so I have to buy new every time. That is how I ended up with three partial boxes, with ice crystals building up!
Cooked chicken strips for myself and dgrands, along with corn on the cob, gifted to us from a friend. We also had chips and cheese dip and watermelon. It was very much a “clean out the fridge” meal, LOL!
Ta-da — washed dishes and swept kitchen floor.
Took dmom to doctor, got her scheduled for injection for pain relief on the 12th. Pray this will work!
Planning to take dgrands to the pool tomorrow morning, before it gets sooo hot!
