LadyM…
I had to laugh because those types of chips would become mummified in my home as well before I could eat them.
And Sweetie can’t remember our address most of the time. Long ago I bought my parents metal tags that attached to their shoe lace. Their name and address were on one side and two phone numbers were on the other side. One was my parents landline and the other was my brothers number.
I am going to order some for Sweeties shoes since he refuses to carry his phone when he does his nightly walk. Fortunately he just walks up the same road and back again, but way I an have a tad bit of peace of mind
Just ordered Sweeties at. http://Www.Roadid.com

CI with progress on my what have I been putting off list...
Knit a few rows made out a list half done with the list now yea! That was time well spent on my lunch break.
Painted one of three side table just the top with multi surface b/c it is easier to clean & dust.
I do one each day till they are done trading out with the others in the living room as I do.
Side table #2 has 1st coat on it. those are done and back inside now yea!
Stairs to basement got the long overdue attn. they needed.
Edit Liv. room decor the frame that used to have our boat pic in it now has a pic of lav. flowers in a basket.
s2s & wash hair / it's wet so I"m heading outside to putter a bit so it can dry.
Hair is mostly dry I sat outside in the shade for a few min. it worked just great!
-----
Thought of a place that sells lumber & building supplies so will check there one of these mornings for
a rake with a non wood handle.
Made up two bfast burritos.

Re: Math Monday
I don't think I posted about our lawn care people. This morning they pruned my nice azaleas into a box shapes. Yes, they needed to be pruned but in the spring I wasn't exactly in shape to do it myself. The heat of midsummer is a terrible time to prune and using hedge clippers is a terrible way to prune them. When these people started last spring they had explicit instructions not to prune the azaleas and hydrangea. I guess they saw all the blooms on the hydrangea and left it. This was done before I realized it - I had been upstairs - and when I went out neither spoke English. They were almost done at that point so I told them to finish and he used a google translate for it. I just hate azaleas pruned into a box shape.
I'm back downstairs. The webinar was excellent. I walked the dog - "feels like" 105 now.
Tomorrow I have body work at 10 a.m. I'll have to be up and out the door. In the afternoon I have a workout, and in the evening, while dh is bowling I have a summer check in for the Accountability group that met every other week for two or so years.

Re: Math Monday
I am not a math person, but I do like statistics, and comparisons (this year's bank statement vs last year, for instance.) I mean, I don't LIKE what I see, but I am interested in keeping up with things like that.
Right now, credit card bill is over $1000 because dbil's away game ticket order was recently charged. He will pay me back in Dec. for that total amount. In the meantime, of course, he is paying all the bills related to the condo, so it evens out. We compare our expenses at the end of the year and usually he pays us to even it out. It's just that the ticket cost is a bigger percentage of my yearly income now... so everything like this makes me sit up and take notice. But this way is easier than me paying him half of all the monthly bills every month.
I was worrying about money this morning, and then both my morning devotionals pointed to God taking care of everything -- manna from Heaven in Exodus, and another passage about trusting Him to meet our needs daily, not worrying about the future.
I loved your algebra joke, Harriet!
And I think it is wonderful that you are going to seek out a counselor, LadyM. Normally, I would say that YOU are probably more qualified to counsel most counselors... but you have an incredible amount on your plate right now. And since your normal sounding board, LordM, is part of the major concerns you have, it is definitely a good idea to have someone objective to talk to about him, and all the other things that you and your family are going through.
I haven't done a LOT today, but I am making some progress.
Slept really late, because DGS was still sleeping. Dcousin called with concern -- her nephew, also my cousin, has recently separated from his wife. Very unexpected, just blindsided him. (This is a cousin on dmom's side, not the ones who are looking after duncle. Actually, those cousins have been out of state at a family reunion. I don't know WHO is taking care of duncle right now.)
Then s2s, and took DGS to McD's. Stopped at drug store and post office.
Home, stripped bed, started laundry, talked to dmom. Texted dbil and fiance re: ddil's birthday Sunday.
DS came over to check the leak in the roof... (we had a short period of heavy rain). DS called carpenter friend... he will be here tomorrow.
Sent in an order to Belk, making up for dgs' clothes that were too small.
DGS will spend the night tonight, after we eat supper.

Re: Math Monday
Working outside, sweeping up the front porch, moving flower baskets on that porch so that the moisture doesn't stay at same place. Not sure when it rains again, but I think we're in a spate of "pop up" showers on any given evening.
Laundry loads were a success - just have some drip-dries hanging until tomorrow morning.
Working on clothes, as in attempt at today's declutter challenge. Heavy on the "attempt" part. Glad it continues to tomorrow. At least making organizational progress today. Moving the chest of drawers tomorrow will encourage more.
Watched some youtubes from various nutrition doctors.
Last evening after exercise, I had some attention-getting muscle pain in arm as I tried to get comfortable in bed, so I may just do stepping workout or may take a day off. I actually awoke just fine, but last night I did make myself promise not to forget it. Better to take a step back than to push too hard if there's pain.
That's so frustrating about azaleas, Twins'. They are a graceful flowering shrub, not cubes, plus this is the wrong time.

Coming here to read your posts is a treasure. It is a reward for me.

I AM DONE WITH CHILDHOOD VACINATIONS!!
DD13 is our youngest and she finished all her vaccinations today.
**** Big Sigh of Relief ***** I am not sad for this part of raising children to be done.
I can't believe how smooth today went. This is day #4 of doing Morning Papers and the change it makes is astonishing. Writing the plan and notes down using pen/paper makes a tremendous difference in how my mind perceives and processes them. I can't explain it, but I am sure there are scholars that can. I had 3x5" index card with written notes for DH visit with family doc and another 3x5" card with written notes to discuss with DD13 counselor. I had a written list of errands for each city that used the least amount of driving. I wasn't trying to keep all this information in my head. I calmly went from one place to another and knew exactly what I was going to do. The day was busy, but it felt almost easy.
My garden is in full production mode. I am harvesting a dozen or so tomatoes and about that many peppers every day. I am trying to keep up with them and doing fairly well. My kitchen counters have 2-3 dozen tomatoes that I am waiting for the perfect stage of ripeness. I am trying to spend 30 minutes a day chopping and freezing the produce. My future self will be thankful this winter when I can continue to enjoy fresh tasting vegetables.
I realized today that DH first TGA episode happened within a couple weeks of us stopping exercising at the gym. Could that make a difference? We are going to restart doing 30 minutes of walking each day together. DH was somewhat resistant to this idea. He definitely does not want to return to the gym and/or treadmill. We don't have sidewalks here so walking on the road means we have to always be watching and listening for a car approaching. We decided to do 30 minutes of walking behind a mower. We both have self-propelled mowers, so it is just a matter of selecting a speed and holding on. There is too much dew in the morning so that time is out. It is too hot during the day so that time is out. We settled on doing it the last hour of daylight. I have no idea how or if this will help. It doesn't seem like it would hurt. Time will tell.
side note... I just learned the last hour of daylight before the sunset is called “the golden hour”. Now I have a name for what I hope will become a new habit.
