Nancy = Thank YOU!!
Rotation is a perfect solution.
I took a box to DD13 and told her to remove half the STUFF from that shelf and put it in the box. She can rotate the items next month if she wants.
DD13 is clearly not happy with me but she is being respectful. I offered to put half the stuff in the box for her, but she wants to do it herself.

DS15 and I went to coop to get him some boots. That onery teen thought it was fun to watch the numbers on the truck scales as we walked over them to find out my weight. It weighed me 20 lbs heavier than my home scales. I do not weigh that much!

Rotation is a good idea!

Home again. I was released from OT for now. I'll restart when the metal that immobilizes the wrist is removed, i.e. after next surgery, and when doc says I'm ready. I went by temple to drop off a check and killed the time there before my workout at one. I had a snack from the refrigerator there, since I forgot to take one. My workout loosened me up some, I'm not nearly as sore now. We talked about some things I can do next week - I'm off for a genealogy institute - so I can continue to work.

I went out near the mall to look for a dress or something for the funeral tomorrow. I have a dress that I'll probably wear. It's not dressy and I hate to wear a dress, honestly. I don't have summer black pants that fit. I have a jacket that I think will work over the dress, and I'll wear a scarf maybe to dress it up? I don't like the way I look right now.

One of our garbage bags is almost empty. I guess we haven't been throwing out too much stuff in the past 2 weeks. Thinking I could use this opportunity, I decided to get rid of stuff that has been in the 3 freezers for too long. Tossed a bunch of popsicles dh said were too encrusted in ice chips plus he doesn't want those flavours, so that was easy. Found a LOT of perogies, so those are all in the same area now.

Decided that I should get rid of a lot of the alcohol that will never be consumed. I can't remember the last time I had a drink. So far, one bottle has been emptied and rinsed out. There are some liqueurs that need to go as well.

Home from a drink date with DH.
Drink Date = getting a glass of tea with pebble ice from local convenience store.
I brought DD13 home a treat to maybe soften the turmoil she is feeling.

When DS15 and I went to the coop in another town this morning, he asked if I wanted a drink. I didn't but told him to get one if he wanted. He went through Scooters coffee drive through and ordered an Oreo Shake. When we got to the window the employee was surprised to see another person (me) in the vehicle when only one drink was ordered. She offered to give me a drink for free. I guess she thought that I was being left out? She just couldn't stand to see someone left out even though I told her that I didn't want a drink. She gave DS15 his drink and also handed him a free cake pop for him to give to me. She was such a nice lady with good intentions. I told her Thank you for your kindness. I guess I could have told her that I don't care for their drinks or cake pops but that seemed kinda rude thing to say.
After we pulled away from the business, I gave the cake pop to DS15. He did tip her well, so I know the cost of the "free" cake pop didn't come out of her wages.

I have two trips this evening. 40 minutes drive to take DS15 to girlfriend church. Then a couple hours later another 40 minute drive to retrieve him.

LM your are welcome.

More thoughts on rotation :
I have suit cases with wheels that I have for seasonal swap out of clothing.
There are also under bed totes some have wheels and can be used like for what ever is a treasure for that year,
season, month for toys, crafts or whatever.

Baskets with lids are fun and some can be decorative like for photos and work for trinkets an such.
I have gotten some at places like Joann's other places like Michel's, h. lobby, amz. could have em too.

I have some items in the spare room window sill I need to rotate to the basement.
I put in the laundry basket and they go down with the next load.
They could be fun for surprises and them rooms.
I have yellow tote for fall stuff.
Red / green ones for Christmas.
Could be for red white and blue holidays if one does decorate for those.
They come in pink blue and purple as well.
A new picture is what helped to inspire me for the cave basement after LH passed a new look for a new me!

I got the idea from P & P on rotating toys.
I need to do some of this with my costume jewelry.

I took a small nap then walked the ddog. We had a storm but we only got wind a few drops of rain. We did cool down a little but "feels like" temp was over 100.

Now I'm feeling stressed about tomorrow. Dcousin wants me to be there at 1 with him, but memorial service isn't until 6. He said in the obit that the family will receive friends beginning at five. Does he mean me too? (There are other cousins on his mother's side.) I think I need to drive home tomorrow night but not looking forward to it. OTOH, sunset isn't until nearly 9 p.m. so hoping I can get away and head home.

And I probably need to some straightening in the morning for the dcleaning lady for Friday a.m. Right now I just can't.

I did the three HOA checks I needed. One can wait a few days before being mailed, so I dated it next week, then the ck following defaulted to that date so I had to redo it. Had one printer misfeed, I had pull out the mangled check.

Tomorrow is another day, Scarlett, and Lucylee.

Not much to write down here... all I've done today is eat, sleep, and watch tv.
I take that back -- I did make a DPC -- called my duncle. He sounded better today, but I know he is having a rough time.
Whereas I have dgrands to occupy my time a LOT of the time, he has no one.
OTOH, dgrands have been at home the last two days and nights, and I have done pretty much NOTHING.
When they are here, I do nothing because they demand a lot of attention, and when they are not here, I just sleep and watch tv.

However, I am telling myself that I probably need sleep. I have been through a major life change, I am not sleeping well until sometimes 4:00 a.m., my stomach is still keeping me in the bathroom a good bit, and if I need to recuperate during the day... so be it.
I am doing all the absolute necessary things -- I buy groceries regularly, keep the laundry caught up, do all the things I need to do business-wise re: settling dh's estate. But when I am home with time to spare -- I mostly sleep and watch tv. I lie on the couch in dh's spot, and I guess I just try not to think because if I do, I'll start crying.

Tonight is the grands' last night at Bible School, so I suspect I'll have one of them over here tomorrow night. I know I'll have one Fri. and Sat. and both on Sunday night. DS is out of town and ddil is working this weekend.
It has been nice to have a week with no doctor's appts for dmom, I must say! Also, nothing I personally have had to do except stop by dbil's office and pick up those letters from the probate office Monday... and Friday I will be going to a funeral at my old church -- father/brother in law/uncle of some friends of mine. I don't know what happened to him -- he was in his mid-80s. He was one of my teachers in Bible classes as I was growing up, just a really great person. Dmom said she would go to the funeral also.

I am trying to cuop, but I can't possibly respond to everyone. I was so glad to see an update on Harmony, although I'm sad that she is unable to be back here with us... and I am still very concerned about blessed. And Elizabeth... and y'all, whatever happened to EmptyNester -- sometimes we just called her "MT." Has anyone heard from her?

I've also been following the clean-up efforts for your dd, LadyM. I can kinda relate to her having a hard time letting things go. Maybe I should try rotation of stuff.
I haven't really even touched any of dh's stuff yet. Three months last Friday. That seems unreal. Of course, I threw out all his meds (well, took them to pharmacy to dispose of) and I put his bp machine and record-keeping calendar in a cabinet in the dining room, but otherwise... I just can't do anything. The last shirt he wore is still hanging where he left it, and all his toiletries are still in his shower and on his countertop in his part of the bathroom.

Anyway... right now I'm going back to the tv. I'm sorta a political junkie and I have been watching the Republican convention a lot. But I'm looking forward to watching the Democrat convention too. Even when I was little, I liked to see the people from each state announce their votes, always giving a little highlight of their state and then saying, "the great state of ... casts its votes for..." Somehow I missed my own state Monday (dgs was here) but with all the controversies surrounding this political season, I can't tear myself away from the tv. I guess it's such a big change from MY current situation, so it's an escape.
I've also gotten hooked on Steve Harvey. I watch Family Feud and Judge Steve Harvey, which just started back last night.
It feels weird not watching sports all the time, but I usually don't even think about the Braves. Totally caught me by surprise that last night was the All-Star game. I don't even know who won.
Tomorrow is another day.
