Yes, us, too.
a school bomb threat several towns away from us. Somehow, they say a decision was made to shuttle students away, so I guess either the school doesn't have a large outdoor area, or for some reason they couldn't even stay near the building. Of course, it dawns on me their weather could have been different than ours and maybe it was pouring rain, since we got a big rain later. Anyway, it was a total sham, but evidently an extreme amount of trouble and waste for everyone. They just cancelled school for the rest of the day, and the threat had come before noon.

LadyM, what good news that someone was actually taken into custody for making that threat.

There has been a little methodical Monday for me, but honestly, I am not the poster child for it either.
Perfectionism has hit me on a couple of issues. :? Indecision.

We did get some Desk Day/dreaded phone calls done.

The comeuppance of some of that is that now our free week has a dentist appt in it tomorrow for HRH. :|

DD13 gave more details of what happened today at her school. She was eating lunch in the cafeteria when they announced a threat had been made and the person identified. They told the students it was being taken care of and they were not in danger. DD13 said the threat happened 3rd hour in Mrs. C class. It was Z which is one of DD13 classmates that did it! He wrote a note which was found by Mrs C. Z is a new kid and DD13 describes him as annoying. To be fair, annoying is how she describes almost all the boys in her class. Z was taken to the office while the police and parents were called. Someone with the same last name as Z (his mom?) posted in community group that the school is making a big deal over nothing. She described Z note as a harmless prank. The school takes any threat very seriously.

20 years ago I had an 8th grader that drew several scenes on paper showing a bomb blowing up the school and people dying. I saw him draw it and took it away from him. Took him to the principal’s office along with the drawing and explained what happened. I left the office and the next thing I knew the boy was expelled, not suspended, from our school. I was surprised at that, but in all honestly not sure if there were other things going on with this kid that I was not aware of.

His friends were kind of pissed at me for turning him in, but they also knew I was a lioness when it came to protecting my “kids” and knew I would do anything to protect them.
