Re: Wake up Wednesday
I have to go to mom's soon to give her her meds.
She is going through her papers - really she doesn't have papers - my brother does it all - but she is happy with what she is doing!
I feel like I am working but I am just barely paddling - but it's okay - I am getting something done!
I was thinking about how nice it is to at home with you again.
A home can be made of sticks and mud
Or great big blocks of snow. A home can be twenty stories tall
Or in the ground below. A home can be way up on a hill
Or next to the ocean wide. A home can have a mill above
Or a chimney on its side. A home can be where you're safe and sound
Or with family, friends and more. A home can be where you have your heart
And all that you adore.

Re: Wake up Wednesday
Elizabeth, I sent a password reset to the hotmail account you registered on the board with.
Dgs is back home from the park. I got the bed remade and the kitchen cleaned up.
Sorry, this sat here over an hour.

Re: Wake up Wednesday
Happy belated birthday to dblessed!!! I'm so glad you're back with us to celebrate! Sounds like you had a wonderful day with your family yesterday.
I woke up to a multitude of spam calls -- I don't answer them but they are annoying, and were coming so frequently that I could barely talk to dmom's renter -- who had called me with complaints since dmom told her to pay the rent to me, I guess she figures she can give me the problems, too. (I deposit the check in dmom's account at her bank; I'm just saving dmom the legwork.) Anyway -- dmom's yard man had been out there but cannot find the field lines for her septic tank. Plumbing issues continue out there and it's just a huge headache constantly.
Spam calls also interfered with my answering email from termite service -- scheduling their annual inspection for next week.
Today is busy and I should have gotten up earlier, but I was up late, of course, and just couldn't get started. I woke up with a terrible sore throat, and seriously considered seeing the doctor myself today, but since I've been up, it's not so bad. Probably largely due to sinus drainage.
Anyway --
OMM: (trying to organize my thoughts)
THINGS THAT HAVE TO BE DONE TODAY:
[ ] S2S
[ ] Church, pick up books for Bible Study tonight
[ ] Church at 6:00 pm
[ ] Study for tonight's lesson
[ ] Update ticket prices if they have not sold by the time I get back from church tonight
[ ] Talk to dmom re: questionable yard man
[ ] Call florist for Saturday funeral
THINGS THAT COULD POSSIBLY WAIT TILL TOMORROW
[ ] Doll*r Gener*l, pick up paper goods for dfriend whose husband died
[ ] Visit dfriend
[ ] Update ds's map -- dh always put a pin in this large map we have in the study, for places ds had played, I'm keeping it up
[ ] Type teacher group notes
[ ] Finish laundry
[ ] Vacuum/dust
[ ] Clean bathrooms

Re: Wake up Wednesday
Bathtub project made progress but now it is on hold AGAIN. The 4 man contractor crew were working on it when i left for doctor appt. Two hours later when i arrived home they were gone, but the job was not finished. DH said it was something about a pipe in the way and they are going to have to reroute? Makes no sense to me. They are getting parts and will return in the morning to continue working on it.
The doctor's appointment resulted in receiving good news for all my test results except for cholesterol. He wants me to try the new cholesterol shot given twice a year. I reluctantly agreed. All the other cholesterol meds (oral) that I have tried resulted in muscle/joint pain. When I looked up this new med the very first side effect listed was joint pain. It seems I have to pick between having high cholesterol or being in pain. I don't like either of those choices.

LadyM…. My PA put me on red yeast rice for the same reason. Works like the oral meds but it’s natural and you can buy it any where. Really helped me. I take two capsules every day without any problem.

Re: Wake up Wednesday
I am home but taking a break before I put groceries away. They're unloaded on the counter and nothing is going to spoil while I rest a minute. PT was about an hour, then I went through Michaels - got some little white pretend pumpkins and ribbon to rehab the grapevine wreath for the front door. Then on to the grocery. I need to get stuff for Rosh Hashana prep but didn't have my mind together enough for a list today. I'll ask dh to get brisket at Costco this weekend....
Earlier I tried to run the roomba but the internal bin needed emptying and it was so dusty I washed it out. So then it has to dry to be put back so I've been on hold. Will try again for tomorrow I guess.
It's back to work for me now.

Re: Wake up Wednesday
Ds just called, "Did you buy crocs for dgs?" Dh was confused. Turns out he's been wearing some kid's crocs at daycare and doesn't want to take them off now that it is time to leave with daddy. We sent him in the only shoes we were given, black runners, new, and up until today so precious that he tried to wear them to bed on Monday night. They also have sturdy stickers identifying them with his name. Ddil is well organized that way.
I did a grocery shop at WM, got home, put away everything, cleaned up the balcony (dgs had had lunch, bubble, and water play out there before daycare), cleaned up the kitchen, ran the second load of laundry and tidied the living room. I just realized I need to fold the second load of laundry so will do that.
I texted dh from WM asking what he wanted for dinner and he texted back that he wouldn't likely be eating, he couldn't eat much breakfast. I picked up the only soda pop he likes, Fanta, and juice and raisin bread.
For dinner I had pasta and meat sauce (dh is stunned as I never have pasta except when on a cruise) and he had some toasted raisin bread. He spent all afternoon in bed and will likely head to bed soon.
Dgs will be here in about an hours I guess. I'll find out then how DC is doing as he spent time with her at the hospital this afternoon before going to pick up dgs.

Re: Wake up Wednesday
The shoe question was resolved. Dgs had peed all over his own shoes so was wearing these backup ones the daycare had on hand.
There were no clothes left in dgs bag. I sent him with three t-shirts, 3 extra pair of underwear, 2 pairs of shorts, one pair of long pants, one long sleeve shirt, multiple pair of socks and 4 diapers. He came home in the long pants and a t-shirt. Only the socks remain clean in his bag. Unfortunately, the t-shirts are missing, they weren't in the laundry I just did (by hand, along with washing the shoes.) The shoes are drying in front of a fan, the clothes are on a drying rack by the radiator fan. I need to repack the bag for tomorrow and that will take up almost everything dgs has left here (I'm not sending the t-shirts I own for him because they don't have his name on them.)
I'm thinking toilet training isn't going very well right now. He came home and still refused to use the toilet so ds just put him in a nighttime diaper. I'm glad I bought them this afternoon in case ds forgot to bring diapers for me cuz he did.
Dh is in bed. I'm heading there now because I'm tired too and tomorrow is a really busy day.
